I have watched all of your videos and I love your energy! Plus you are nearly to 1000 subscribers! Keep up the good work! I spent some time in Lagos and Faro, but it was in March and so it was an entirely different place (but still beautiful). I am looking forward to seeing how you like the next destination.
Thank you for watching our videos!! Yes, we are excited as we continue to move closer to that 1000 subscribers. Fingers crossed! We love Lagos. It might be our favorite place in Portugal so far. We are headed to Lisbon next. :)
Our prediction for next week’s video is that you will be under budget !!As ever entertaining video and glad to see that you are still having a lovely time xxxx
Hi from an American expat living in Portimao for 3.5 years now. You remind me of me when I first came here. It is a great place to live. It's packed here with tourist in the summer and completely dead in the winter with many restaurants closing. Apartment rentals are hard to come by and prices are increasing every year. But the beaches and weather are great. There is also an international airport 1 hour away. There is a Tuesday meet up with american expats at the Moonlight Bar on the beach.
I really liked the items in your checklist. Great points. I think the activities would be harder to find during the off season. Getting away from the tourist area to find less expensive restaurants is a great tip.
Portimao is the best. So much say walking that’s beautiful and great beaches. We were in January and weather was super. Full sun and no wind makes it much warmer than number on weather app. Didn’t bring enough clothes for warm weather, packed for cooler temps. Agree always felt safe even walking at night. Could definitely stay 90 days. Good content enjoy hearing your experiences you really try to live as a local.
We really enjoyed our time there and I do think we will be back at some point for 90 day stay. I bet January was great. Thanks for always being so thoughtful and kind with your comments, we so appreciate you!
Thanks for another inspiring video . I must comment , the smile on your face when you both were talking about wine . Yeah, must have been tasting good with that price point (1.99) 😉And wow , 20,000 steps average a day. Must be nice walking everyday with nice weather . Well done !
Have you tried the vino verde? That’s our favorite Portuguese wine! By the way, you have motivated us to start our own channel @AandFBeyond Hope to see you on the road!!!
Man, we want to be out there, but . . . We went out for the sunset one night and it was great, so pretty and peaceful. We said we should come out late more often and it never happened again! ;)
@@RetiredNomadAdventures we did do a sunset cruise in Split which we really enjoyed but we are not late night people, when I say late night I mean anytime after 20:00 🙂
No one was watching our wallet/things. But, we felt comfortable because there were other couples on the lounge chairs next to us and it felt like we were all aware of each others belongings and kept an unspoken eye out for each other - if that makes sense. Sorry about your situation in Cancun!
excited to see y'all are so close to 1000 subscribers
We are too!!

Hi Scott! It sure seems like a wonderful place to plant some roots. We really enjoyed our time here and expect to come back!

Thanks Erick! We would really like to come back in the off season to compare the difference. Fingers crossed we can make that happen. Cheers!! 😊

@@RetiredNomadAdventures it has seen better days but ...
I have to ask ... What about public restrooms? Are there a lot and are they clean? Curious minds 🤔
Miss you Kelly! Yes. Just like in the states. The are great and not so good ones, but they are easily available. 🥰
Miss you too ! Love your videos ! Thanks for sharing@@RetiredNomadAdventures
When you were in water, anyone was watching your wallet?😅 I had such issue last time when I was in Cancun.
