My wife and I were here a month ago. While it is a great access spot for seeing the sea caves and other nearby attractions, we found the town itself to be a complete tourist trap. We'd never go back there. The beach was also very dirty, over-crowded, and the food for the most part was disappointing.
I’m sorry to hear your overall experience wasn’t favourable. Ours was most certainly the complete opposite. We were there 9 days and had the opportunity to explore a lot of restaurants away from the town square which were fantastic. I’m truly shocked about your experience about cleanliness, that really surprises me as we found it very clean overall. All the best and I hope any future experience in Carvoeiro is more favourable. I am so sorry to hear of your disappointment in visiting Carvoeiro. My wife and I visit 2 or 3 times per year, but never in July or August as it is much too busy and too hot.
It's a good informational video, but please, if you're going to do UA-cam videos of your foreign adventures, learn to pronounce the names properly. Having an Aussie accent is no excuse! Carvoeiro = Car-vwair-o Silves - Sil-vesh Portimao = Por-ti-maow
We go there 3 times a year.
Wonderful jewel in portugal
@@scottishtravellerarch6088 We can understand why. It’s spectacular!
Thanks for sharing i am arranging a very special occasion there in June and have hired a big villa up the hill
Great. You'll love it. Recommend you try some of the eating places that lead out of the square also. Have fun!
I'd love to go to Portugal!
It’s amazing ❤

Which boat company did you hire ?
I believe it was Benagil Sea Cave Tours. Black boats. We just booked it right off the beach.
