This is Canada's musical gift to the world. The 3 most amazing, creative, and talented musicians you'll ever find. 🇨🇦
Proudly Canadian 🇨🇦🇨🇦
RusH is composed of 3 compulsive perfectionist, and genuine good people that do not have any the ego trips that have lead to the demise of many successful bands.
Truly GREAT musicians that are also truly great friends.... Resulting in some of the cleanest, tightest most amazing music ever made.
Along with Bruce Cockburn. 🇨🇦 / 🇺🇲
Man agreed.
Neil Peart is the best drummer of all times he died to earlier 2020 .. RIP Neil Peart 🥁🎶
Je les ai vu deux fois a Montreal. Les 2 meilleur show de ma vie. Surtout R40. Rip The Professor
@@martinleger8690 😎👍
The guy on the right asks, "who is the drummer?" That is the correct first reaction to listening to rush
Our three Canadian masters at work.........You have entered the rabbit hole welcome.....!!!!
Geddy Lee ; Lead singer, bass, keyboards, Alex Lifeson; guitars, Neal Peart; drums. RIP Neal Peart we lost one of the best drummers ever. RUSH is a CANADIAN BAND, many records, and global hits. Excellent Musicians, alot for just 3 guys in band.
Rush is a 70s band, and this song was from 1981. Neil Peart is the drummer and is regularly listed by all sites as one of the greatest drummers of all time. He was not only technically proficient, but he elevated drumming to new levels by carefully composing and weaving it into songs and make it more melodic and musical.
A small example of great Canadian rock from 70s and 80s. Need some Blue Jay's hat boys.
19 albums, 40+ years of amazing music... one of the greatest bands of all time.
Neil Peart plays drums behind him. That's how awesome he was.
RIP to 'the Professor' Neil Peart ...he still is, in my humble opinion, the GOAT.
They were together for 40+ years, and remained the best of friends throughout. Not to many bands can say that.
I was a senior in high school when this song came out in 1981 this song never gets old great performance. And nice reaction.....you guys are great...👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Masterpiece from Rush. 1981. Album: Moving Pictures. INCREDIBLE. Neal Peart on drums, guys. RIP Neal. Thankyou for this today, guys.🔥❤😊
You will LOVE traveling down the Rush rabbit hole. Rush is a progressive rock group popular from the ‘70’s to 2018. Drummer Neil Peart passed in Jan. 2020. RIP Neil. Other tunes to check out are The Spirit of Radio, Subdivisions, La Villa Strangiatto, Neil’s drum solo live from Frankfurt and many more!!
The first time I heard this band was when a friend let me borrow her cassette tape I plugged into my Walkman and listened to on the bus on the way to a skating competition. The sound absolutely knocked me out of my seat. I had never heard anything so deep and intense and cool in my life…
The members of Rush are Neil Peart (percussion, drums, lyrics), Geddy Lee (vocals, bass, keyboards, composer) and Alex Lifeson (guitars, composer, backing vocals)... Neil "The Professor" Peart is widely regarded as the greatest drummer who has ever lived, and was the influence for other drummers, like Dave Grohl, and his entire generation drummers. He passed on 7 January 2020, from cancer.
Rush has 16 albums.
Enjoy the ride. Best 3 man band ever.
Neil Peart is from my home town in Canada. He went to high school right around the corner from me but before my time. I've only recently on the last couple years (I'm 44) been a fan of Rush. I used to hate them for no good reason. I'm glad I came back to them
One of the best tracks ever!!
Geddy Lee ( lead vocal, bass , keyboard ) Neil Peart ( drummer and lyrics ) Alex Lifeson Guitar ..
neil peart is your favourite drummer favourite drummer. the best drummer ever , check out his solo .
Heck yeah!!! Good ol' Canadian boys🇨🇦 had the pleasure of seeing them live a few times. RIP Neil- the best drummer.
Rush. Xanadu ...live exit stage left
Three amazing band members ❤️
In order to fully appreciate the genius of this band you need to watch their live performances. Best live band everrrrrr
🇨🇦🇨🇦 one of the greatest Canadian bands ever.
You two were all smiles throughout the song .
Three guys making all that incredible music. That whole album, Moving Pictures, is amazing. I've listened to their music for decades, but I didn't really listen to their later albums. And their concerts were epic as well.
Gotta LOVE GEDDY !
RUSH Army is present.
They were a band for 40+ years, and were the best of friends throughout. So rare.
If you didnt know you wanted to play drums before hearing this song, you should now. RIP Neil Peart, the GOAT
Yes was a big influence.
Spirit of the Radio a jem.
Rush!!!!!! Fuck yeah! Their first Album came out in 1974 (Check out Working Man) then go down the Rabbit hole from there. As great as they are in the studio they might even be better live. Drummer Neil Peart has passed over into legend. RIP. Perhaps the greatest drummer of all time. He wrote all the lyrics too. Geddy Lee (bass, keyboards) and Alex Lifeson (guitars) are virtuosos as well. Rock and Roll hall of famers and most other musicians consider them to be untouchable in complexity and musicianship. Truly, one of the greats. Oh Canada! 🇨🇦
Welcome to Rush, more please!
Geddy Lee(Bass, keys and Vocals) and Alex Lifeson(Guitars) are from Willowdale Toronto Ont. Canada and Neil Peart(Drums) is from St. Catherine's Ont. Canada
That’s the power of Rush....you want to them live.....check out Xanadu..... Exit Stage Left version....prepare to be blown away.....again.
Drummer-Neil Peart, Base & Vocals-Geddy Lee, Guitar-Alex Liefson
The best part of RUSH, they were so diverse. They changed with the times. They had their own style from decade to decade. You can tell the different decades by their style of play. Many people have their opinions and preferences. But a true RUSH fan prefers them all. RUSH did things their own way. They played what they wanted, not what the record companies wanted. They were brilliant. A lot of their music was not appreciated at the time, but they stayed true to their art.And now look, 40+ years later, the new generation is still amazed by them. They are at the top of the musical food chain. They talked the talk, but they also walked the walk. The stories they told, you can listen to their songs and close your eyes and literally see the story line. I will leave the suggestions to other people. Keep it up guys, you are in for a treat. Trust your listeners, you will not be disappointed. I suggest to use lyrics to a lot of their earlier stuff, they go very deep. No one did it better. Proudly Canadian 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
one of my favourite things ever is watching people discover Neil Peart
Geddy lee vocals, keyboard, bass , Alex Lifeson guitar, Mr Neil Peart on drums 40+ years of awesomeness!!!!!!
More Rush!!!!!!! Best band ever!!!!!!!! Neil Peart is the drummer, the professor!!!!!! Neil Peart live in Frankfurt, drum solo!!!!!!!! Will blow your mind!!!!!!
Neil Peart is the Drummer who joined the band on their Second Album. They are from Canada. The Drummer wrote the Lyrics for the songs, and the Bass/Keyboardist is the Lead Vocalist. The Guitarist is a Classical Guitarist. That 70's Band you think the singer sounds like is a Band also from Canada called Triumph. The vocals sound similar. Triumph has Bad Ass Songs too!
Glad you like Rush. The pride of Canada since the 70’s. Better late then never. Btw the lead singer Geddy Lee his parents were holocaust survivors. The drummer Neil Peart is called the professor one of the best of all time
Love from Canada!!!!!! I just LOVE your reactions...PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE react to Rush Workingman Live in Cleveland Time Machine Tour...I know you guys will appreciate their superior musicianship!!!!!!
Welcome to the world of Rush! Being Canadian I am biased of course lol. They are my fave hands down. You have only touched the tip of this iceberg. I look forward to seeing your mind blown expressions as you experience these master story tellers and the creations of Neil's genius. Its amazing to see people come to realize that it's only 3 guys making all this sound. I'm still absolutely gutted by Neil's loss earlier this year. RIP Neil
RUSH - where, in the middle of a GUITAR solo, people are asking who the DRUMMER is! haha
Rush's catalog spans 40 years, 19 Albums. Limelight, Subdivisions, Red Barchetta, Distant Early Warning, Closer
to the Heart, Red Sector A, New World Man, Freewill, and Spirit of the Radio are but a few of their other greatest tracks.
Cannot, cannot, cannot stop 🛑 in the middle of Neal’s drum roll extravaganza without going back too see the whole thing in it’s ensemble ! C’’mon guys!
(Welcome to the Rush Wabbit whole)
You are two wild and crazy guys.
Gentleman. That is my idol and reason for picking up a pair of sticks.... Neil Peart aka the Professor.
There is a park in Hamilton (near Toronto) that is erecting a statue of the drummer. RIP.
As others have mentioned; welcome to the Rush rabbit hole.
Neil Peart. Best rock drummer that ever lived. The professor. RIP. 🇨🇦😢
Geddy Lee. Bass. Vocals.
Alex Lifeson. Guitar.
Limelight.
Spirit of Radio.
Yyz. Live in Rio. But do the studio version first.
Working man. Live in Cleveland.
Xanadu. Live in 1981.
2112
There is so much more. 😁
This is progressive rock. Similar groups are: Yes. 70’s Genesis. But Rush has a cleaner and harder edge.
Sending love from Canada...you will LOVE Working Man Live in Cleveland ....I JUST LOVE YOUR REACTIONS!!!!
Rush. From Canada. You're welcome. 😌
THIS IS THE 70s and Neil Pert is one of the most amazing drummers of all time !!!! look a few solos up mind blowing
Canadian here, first time watching you guys, just seeing comments so no need to really say anything except talent recognises talent !.. Subscribing now .. peace out !
The BASS guitar is pronounced like the word base or lace. Not with an 'a' sound like father but with the 'a' sound from stay or take or bay.
I had the chance to see them 4 times in show it was fantastic, you can see the name The studio in the video, a mythical place near Montreal in Quebec where several great artists have performed, unfortunately this place is gone smoked a while ago, You have to try La villa strangiato, Subdivision, Territorie and Manathan project , Limelight .
Adding my voice to the rabbit hole thing. Get ready for a 40+ years of amazing music ! Welcome aboard !
Did you notice that they are playing keyboards with their hands and feet? Did you notice that the Singer is also the Bass player and the keyboard player? Did you know that the Drummer also writes all of the Lyrics? Hahahah Glad you enjoyed it. There is no comparing Rush to anyone... although they began trying to emulate Led Zeppelin, they evolved into a band like no other.
Luv your reactions !
From Canada: You're welcome.
Really need to review lyrics with Rush songs. Very deep and full of meaning.
thanks for this one .. very good ,, 😎👍 Next one from Rush - Red Sector A .. a song about holocaust . Geddy Lee parents was survive to holocaust .. Neil Peart good lyrics ..
Correction, Nei Peart, GREATEST lyricist , 5 flag salute 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
@@andrewsauve4051 😎👍
neal peart sadly passed away about a year ago.
Rush sounded like Led Zeppelin on their 1st album. Working Man is a very popular song from that album. They created their own sound as the years went by.
I'd like to see your reaction to Xanadu their Exit Stage Left performance. Seriously, one of the best live performances you will hear/see!
Oh my...I always love watching first-time listeners of RUSH. Enjoy your journey...the musical waters run deep! YYZ live in Rio, LA Villa Strangiato, Natural Science, and the prerequisite 2112
Check out YYZ live in rio!!!!!!!!! Amazing!!!!!!!!!
Xanadu live.......insane!
Rush was formed in 1968 and lasted until drummer Neil Perth's death in 2021, so right now, they're thinking about what they will do, but things looklike they will not continue under the name Rush. Hope it answers your questions.
awesome choice for your first Rush song. this is their most well know song. they have been my favorite band since the early 80s. all the other suggestions are great. lessons is one of my favorites that doesn't get suggested allot. lots of love my friends
Neal Peart (RIP) drummer you should watch his drum solo on UA-cam. Proud Canadian 3 man band!.
Glad you enjoyed that one guys. This is definitely one of their most popular songs, but in my opinion, they have other songs that are better. This is a very diverse band that were together for four decades and have over 200 original songs that all sound different. They were not afraid to experiment and kept changing their sound through the various decades. Some diehard fans only like the early stuff, but I like it all and think their songwriting actually got better as the years went on.
Duddde how can you pause right on Neil's solo!!!!!! You made me miss my notes on my air drum solo 🥁 duuuuudddee ;-p
Can't believe you guys stopped at this one. Try Spirit of Radio, Subdivisions, Xanadu or La Villa Stangiato. You won't be disappointed.
Neil Peart. The Professor. He is your favourite drummer’s favourite drummer.
You want to hear Rush live? “ Best intro ever”. Do it!
Limelight! Same style video from the same studio! You're just scratching the surface! lol
There is no band in the world like Rush. The drummer is Neil Peart. If you want to hear an un believable drum solo, watch Neil Peart drum solo in Frankfurt, Germany. Do “The Spirit of Radio” next, or anything by Rush, tons to choose from, all great!
This band put out thier first album in 1974. Please listen to Working man and Fly by Night
Drummers name is Neal Peart, you do a reaction video to Neal Peart live in Frankfurt Germany.
This is the first song on side 1 of the album 'Moving Pictures' The first side has 4 songs on it and I'd stand up next to any side #1 on any other album, ever! #1 Tom Sawyer. #2 Red Barchetta ( You should do this one next) #3 YYZ an instrumental (look for live in Rio version) and #4 Limelight ( a platinum selling single) Powerhouse of a side one. Side 2 is not too shabby either! But do Red Barchetta next!
Oh man, you guys have to dig into more Rush!
Its all amazing!
The bands who influenced Rush are mostly The Who and Yes. Both bands are well worth checking out as well! Yes especially will be a bit different from what you guys are used to listening to.
Checkout Subdivisions. Such a layered song
best three man band going but i am canadian
Love you guys and your genuine reactions. So glad I found you. Look forward to more, especially more Rush ;)
The drummer Neil Pearl wrote 99% of all Rush's songs..
He passed away earlier their year. 😞
1981, Québec.
Neil is widely considered the best drummer of all time. RIP. I figure God is getting some excellent drum lessons.
Xanadu live shows off their individual skills in a way that shows off how they could set a tone live. Note Geddy and Alex often play bass with their feet while playing keyboards. And Neil is maybe the best drummer ever, and both a drummer and a percussionist. This band, like Zeppelin, Queen, Zappa and the Winters Brothers, has the sort of talent that can scare other musicians if they're not super good on their instruments. These three all individually come together like some incredibly fortunate accident of sound that ends up being perfect. It's like every note is played exactly the way it should be, exactly when it should be. You'll have fun with this band.
If you want to continue on a Canadian music journey I'd highly recommend The Guess Who (not to be confused with The Who). American Woman, Undun, These Eyes, No Time, Hand Me Down World, No Sugar Tonight/New Mother Nature, take your pick.
React to Subdivision by Rush. You’ll like the drums in there. To simple yet extremely technical.
Canadian all the way 😊
