  • This is an overview of a 2024 Nissan frontier Pro 4x and why it’s better than the new Toyota Tacoma unfortunately, the Toyota Tacoma got rid of one of the most reliable engines they had. Unfortunately, I do hope Toyota‘s new vehicles are super reliable, but time will tell Nissan has stuck to its roots and continues to offer a naturally aspirated V6 and I do think the Nissan frontier is better than the new Tacoma and I think it might be the best midsize truck on the market especially if you want to keep it for many many years!!!

I just bought my Pro4x and I LOVE it!! You are 100% correct, it's dependable and the cost is considerably less. I looked at every other option out there and the Nissan kept coming out on top. I think Nissan was smart to stay with what has been a reliable engine as opposed to jumping onto the "new and improved" approach. I wanted a truck and that's what I got and I couldn't be happier!!!!!

If only Nissan would build another Xterra with this platform I might consider selling my 4Runner

Only wish it had a 6-speed manual.

I agree that the pro 4 x is a better truck and value, vs the tacoma 2024 its a hard pass for that four-cylinder turbo

Aside from performance I wish Nissan would give a more hardcore look like the Colorado.

I do not understand why Toyota is changing all of there dependable vehicles it makes no sense! I mean the gas mileage is not even better at all and with the new model they are having transmission issues and other things as to be expected as new models with Toyota always have a first couple bad years. Now the Tacoma has more comfortable back seats as they don't sit as straight up as the frontier. The frontier will not be as good off-road whatsoever but what they made for the price i do like it for sure. We must not forget Toyota knows how to make reliable vehicles and you can argue it is turbo charged now but do not forget that they made the supra in the 90s totally capable of holding 1000 hp without blowing without a lot of modding. I think Toyota made a bad choice but i think it will end up being a reliable truck again but it also has no business costing as much as it does lol

Nissan is a waaaaay better Truck compared to the 24 Toyota Tacoma. The new Tundra and Tacoma are cheap and overly engineered turbo charged engines. I was a big Toyota fan for the past 25 years but now I wouldn’t step foot in a Toyota Dealership. Bye bye Toyota.

    6/11/24- Today, 2024 I agree
    2024 Frontier:
    - V6 Naturally Aspirated
    - NOT made in Mexico (Tacoma)
    - Solid looks
    - Price Not ridicules
Unfortunate for my go to brand Toyota:
    - Turbo anything NOT good look
    - Poor fit Finish
    - Made in Mexico Tacoma
    I won't yet jump ship
But I'd look at Toyota non turbo 2022 and prior
YES 2024 Frontier outbeats 2024 Tacoma
And outbeats 2024 Toyota V6 twin turbo anything
What the heck is Toyota CEO America, Japan hoping thinking
Since 2020 Jan-Mar COVID Wuhan onto 2021-2022 to Toyota new CEO 2023 to now 2024 leading into 2025
    All is "Bat Shite Crazy"

Toyota has went in a completely different direction the last few years from what I was expecting Toyota to do they had such reliable vehicles, and I hope the new engines are reliable but in the long run nothing beats naturally aspirated

Last few years Toyota maintained great aspirated engines
Agreed last few years buzzing Toyota gonna go turbo
And now 2024 here is the "Death Star"
Smaller turbo engine output higher power and torque
Majority of global peeps know to drive aspirated
And even then don't really care maintain the engine
Turbo is a finicky driving maintaining different animal
Majority peeps will treat turbo like how they have driven aspirated
Yea it'll take quite sometime for peeps
      To realize the difference
In the mean time vehicles are so disposable in form and fashion, fit and finish, lack of durability and quality, just junk ...
Yes the consumer drives the desire and want convenice
And the corporation and manufacture caters
Which opens the door for catering to consumer desire and want more so
Coporate, manufacture, consumer aren't to blame
The nature of human is to want, want, want
I get it ... But not at the expense of my pockets
