My favorite tractor is my "A" for general purpose light jobs at my home. It is fun to drive. It does whatever I need to do. My granddaughters love my "A". Last summer I put new brakes both sides. Simple repair compared to some. Made a big difference. Parts easy to find. Love watching these videos.
My grandfather had two big farmalls when I was younger, maybe a super-c and M , they weren't identical, one was slightly bigger and one seemed to squat in the back a little, he did a lot of haying with them and the two front tires were close together. He eventually upgraded to an international harvester 584 that I still have to this day and a john deer 4020 or something, the Deere was gas and the harvester was diesel and even though the Deere had more horsepower the harvester would out work and out pull it while using less fuel.
Awesome "A", awesome video! Still not a horsepower thing, but a traction thing. It always cracks me up to see 15, 18, or 22 hp lawn tractors for sale outside Lowe's or Home Depot. Those are nothing compared to the A's 15 hp. BOOM!
Weight really makes a difference in pulling that's for sure . You're going to have to break out the M and let big daddy pull it lol Thanks for sharing and have a blessed day !
It's obvious the ground is slick on top which is why it's spinning. If it was solid, the A would pull the coop like it has in the past. I've spent almost 50 years using these offset Farmalls and started out with Grandpa's 55 Cub. Don't ever sell them short.
You're M would look better if you swapped sides on the rear wheels so that the dish would be turned out. Just my opinion! Nice collection there, I have my papaw's Super C and a 340 tricycle row crop I acquired last year. I've never seen another one in my area. It seems like a pretty stout tractor maybe between an H and M in pulling power. Does anyone out there know something they could share with me?
A as in animal! Rugged, compact machine. I remember the video where you grabbed onto that coop shortly after you got the A and thinking “no way”, and it moved it without much trouble.(Or was it the Super C?).Either way, great machines. The A doesn’t seem as popular when it comes to snow plowing though.Nice to see part of the fleet catching some sun!
U have a really nice A ! We have a chance to buy one from a neighbor! Do you remember what you gave for ur A ? Its a nice one too with good tires ! Been checking prices on them !
What is the drawbar height for each and the distance to hole from centerline of the rear tires? I have an A and a super C. Weights on the A none on the super C. The super C will pull more in my case from being balanced and the taller tires
Excellent video Gino :) myself got proof Red Power work excellent for pulling and towing! Back 1994 after got 1963 McCormick- International B414 Loader tractor Desiel motor rebuilt plus all fix up for my one Neighborhood neighbor farmer his 1968 Massey Ferguson 135 Desiel motor doing plowing and front pivot cone broke front! So got truck to home farm want towing back to machinery shed on farm and help towing with 3 point hitch also multi hole bar in back and big metal hook link plus tow pin with cooter key on arms on tow link clip ! Got tractor plus plow in machinery shed no problem! Farmer friend of my family said may ask what horsepower tractor b414 is told now 40 to 45 hp and I said what yours his was 55 hp 10 hp difference only Lol! If farmer was still alive tell Red Power does excellent too and get job to Lol Boom 💥!
@@FarmallFanatic I didn't notice that and wasn't making fun, I just meant, think of the mind blowing advancement that having a locking differential would have been on any of the tractors of that Era. I wish my 8N and 2N had em.
Had many times had to do the zip bang effect pulling tree tops. Usually got the same effect till we got them to easier pulling. Need to say though not all of us green guys are liars...lol.
@Farmall Fanatic I knew you were talking about the guys with UA-cam channels but couldn't resist messing with you. Sorry if you felt you offended me or me offending you. I enjoy the way you pick on us green guys. Make me smile everytime. I grew up on the green ones but had the opportunity to drive a farmall super m. And an international 350 I believe (it was a small beast). Keep up the things you do.
If you were on thawed ground, both the A and the Super C would have moved it easily. The fact that you're spinning out like that in third gear speaks volumes about the traction. I'm not so sure it would be just hook on and go with the H either.
You need to shorten your chain up and use your fast hitch to lift up on your coop you could move it. If your A has been rebuilt probably not much difference in hp with Super C most people rebuilt them with overbore kit which makes same size engine as Super C. You are right A and Super A are great little horses.
My neighbor had an A and you got it stuck and I hooked on the front of them with my 574 International and I actually ripped the tractor in half that's why every tractor I own no I make side rails between the engine and the transmission even my 574 International in May 8th manufab International do not have them you should think about doing that to your tractors average piece of Steel that goes from the front to the transmission just an idea for you because the engine and the tranny is all that hold them together
I've got a Super C and I pulled a 14 by 70 trailer house 12 miles with that thing and never struggled a bit so if you can't pull that little chicken house with your Super C then you ain't doing something right buddy
@@FarmallFanatic Actually I pulled it 1/4 mile to get it off the property. Since mine had the hydraulic drawbar I took advantage of the weight being on it
John Deere people they are saying right now that a John Deere 40 can out pull that little A witch is Is BS they are already making there UA-cam video right now showing it's a failure
I love it! " They're green and they're liers ".

There are so many reasons to own these tractors
I have 8 more steps currently in production now brother if you need one for your A. Well 7 lol one sold yesterday. I have them for the Cubs as well!
I will most likely buy one off of you
Dont mix us Oliver guys up with the those "other" green guys.
I will say ONE, AND ONLY ONE, good thing about green...they make a great riding lawn mower. Wish IH made a Farmall sub compact.
Never

Huge benefit to diesel

Right on A💪🏻keep crushin it FF💥🇺🇸💥
Oohhh man, how I laughed out loud at 7:25 when the rooster saw you coming with the A , he appeared to know that "something was up" hahahaaaha,
Lol yep
A lot of folks don’t know this, but the Farmall A was originally designed by a Canadian. He called it the Farmall Eh? And the name stuck.
BOOM 💥
Tractors are like chickens! One is good, two is better, and pretty soon ten is not enough!
11 on the way
why the "hate" on green? old tractors are just cool regardless of make, model or paint color
I wasn't hating on old tractors. I was talking about the new tractors and those channels

I saw the plow day video. It said Mercer County. What state are we talking? I live in Pa. But there is a Mercer County nearby in New Jersey.
Pennsylvania
Wow, that is a pit bull great video .
God bless

It actually both tractors have successfully pulled the coop
Dude, you have a great channel!
Appreciate it 👊
I have both John Deere 60 and a Farmall Super M
That Farmall out the JD every time No questions ask
I believe that
sounds like a 123 engine got the hydraulic delete plate could be 113? whats the casting number behind the oil filter ?
I'll let you know
I thought the A had a fast hitch. Wasnt that the tractor you had picked up your circular saw with the hitch?
Naw, one of the puny Cubs...
that was one of the cubs

I paid 2200 at auction...probably got ran up but wasn't coming home without it
When are you going to let me come shop at your tractor dealership? 😉😁🤣
Anytime...million dollars a tractor....I'll even finance it 🤣

I have an A and a super C. Weights on the A none on the super C. The super C will pull more in my case from being balanced and the taller tires
That is a good question.. I do know the A has pulled the coop before
You need to shorten the chain. My dad always said a horse could not pull a 100 p0und bag af feed at the end of 100 foot rope. Was the common saying.
True
theres a guy that makes steps for the A's right here on youtube & does a great job.. name is Bourbon, Beer, Tractors and Prepping!
Oh yeah I know
I like the the load star. I want to build a hualer out of one. It would be really cool.
Yeah I rebuilt the engine 2 years ago
Dont your tractors have differential lock? Have a good day.
They have of left brake and right brake but they were locked up
FFA If you zoom perirefrals it looks like your on a small engine and Giant transmission 🤗

Yup with a fast hitch
A and Super C....hmmm.... I'd take both lol
Me too lol
Moving to coop so the chickens have a new place to poop.💩💩😂😂
And then I don't have to scoop
Shorten your chain it will pull it it
I would have but it would have been cheating because that's how long it was for the super c
