@@bourbonbeertractorsandprep9335 Super series IH tractors are the most counterfeited tractors in the world . If I had a $100.oo for every regular model A , B, C , H & M I've seen for sale that had a Super sticker on it or the smart cons might go through the trouble of finding a old Super hood complete with faded paint and sticker & put on a regular letter series tractors to try and sale for a premium price I would be rich . Then when I point out to the seller that NONE of the casting#'s on the engine , transmission & axles , ect match up for a Super they get mad lol ! I've even run across a lot of counterfeited Super A's that were part A , 100, 130 & 140 ALL mixed together on the same tractor , the only super part on them where the new sticker set . Always check your serial#'s when buying a collector's item . Good job on the restoration .
Nicer than new. I just bought a farm all super A 1952. My first tractor build and newest adventure. I have a 1963 1\2 ton and a 1965 3\4 ton Chevy work trucks so I am some what comfortable working on old stuff. Your channel had already has been a great resource in my Super S adventure. Thank you very much for your detailed information and craftsmanship on this channel.
Thats very kind of you, thank you! Good luck on your 52, they are definitely worth all the effort!! If theres ever anything I can help you with please feel free to ask!
Very nice restoration! Thanks for sharing. Its motivating me to get back to my 1951 Super A. Was my great uncles. I had started restoration on it 10 years ago. And it was running at the time. Went thru some lifestyle changes and shoved it in a back corner of my shop. About 50% disassembled. Im getting back on the Jazz again to restart the project. Glad I stored everything well and meticously labeled parts. Looking for experience, resources for parts and restoration techniques. Your video is a great start. Thanks again !
Your very welcome, I hope what Ive done helps you! Im happy to hear it helped reignite the fire to get yours back together! Let me know if I can help you with anything!
Nice looker you did a super job redoing .Back in the day Farmall had what they call demonstrators from the factory they where white may from the factory there were extra parts then dealers or factory re painted red this could be why you seen the color white .
Thank you! Thats what I first thought until I talked with the 2nd owner who said the dealership he got it from did the two tone similar to how it is when he bought it in the 50s.
For a 6 volt, it cranks like a 12. I've never heard anything good about the Chinese carburetors. I love the correct early Super A decals you used. Great restoration job. RED POWER IN 1949...RED POWER IN 2022.
You did a amazing job. My son got a super A we are starting to restore but like yours this 1 took in water threw the exhaust for 30 years but froze and broke the block so looking for a block. The tractor is in amazing shape so hoping to preserve it. He saved from the shedder at least lol
I'm trying to find the Tractor my dad had in 1967 or 68. I was only 9 or 10 at the time. I say it was a H my brother says it was a M. I would really like to have it back. sad we never had any pictures of it. but yours is stunning. well done. stay safe.
Dude that thing is a work of art it looks better than it did when new. Good for you I bet you had a good time restoring it 😉 I wish it was mine good work keep the videos coming thanks
John not Tamara, great job! One thing if you get a surge in the throttle it could be the thrust bearing in the governor, I don't know if you rebuild it too. It took us a couple of years to trace it down.
I completely rebuilt the governor, it works and runs beautifully and is very responsive. I can quickly let the clutch out in 4th and it catches up quickly. The problem was in the Chinese carburetor that I had on it, problem solved by rebuilding the original.
Dude don't worry about what everybody else say . Hell if you listen to everybody on the internet. They all know more than anybody else on the planet and they happen to be there when the damn tractor was built. But like you said it's your tractor you can rebuild it any way you want to. And you can paint it whatever color you prefer if you like that paint job that's fine . I personally think it looks awesome. You did a awesome job on the rebuild and restoration of your tractor. My question are you going to use it to plow a garden or till a garden whichever the case may be. No disrespect and this is just me now. But if I had it I couldn't keep it without using it I'd have to plow me a garden. Yeah cuz I had me a big old garden with that that puppy there that's awesome. Awesome great job buddy. Hope maybe you have a little luck and they put it on one of them tractor magazines or calendars. Anyway have an awesome day.
Wow, stunning tractor. I interested in those laser cut seals you made. Please drop a note to let me what you charge for them. I love your paint scheme. Thanks so much for sharing! I'm working on a 50 Super A. Again excellent job!
WOW ! Just found your channel and I am hitting that Subscribe button !!! What a Beautiful job on this Super A... I Can't wait to get caught up on your older videos...
Beautiful restoration. You’re going to be shocked when you go to buy new rims. I was at M.E. Miller tire Saturday and the price has gone up 4 times on a 3x15 rim blank. More than double than what I paid for 1 in the Spring.
just found your channel pretty cool I think you spend to much time over explaining things but good channel ! look forward to watching other videos on the cars!
Outstanding finish to a project. That grill turned out about as straight as it ever could,,, Unless you had a professional metal guy with 30 years of experience AND $1500 laying around to get the grill better than original.
Awesome tractor! I am extremely jealous. I have a Super A myself and it’s a hodgepodge mutt of broken and repaired parts with a Super C engine. It runs ok, not perfect, but the chassis is just completely worn out. There’s slop and play in EVERYTHING. It definitely had a very hard life. It’s gonna need every singe part and bolt taken out to restore it. I wish I had saved the original engine because the block has an outisde crack which could be repair but due to unfortunate circumstances, I had to scrap the entire thing. God bless my wallet when I do eventually restore it. Anyways, when you were driving your tractor, I noticed your front right tire was way out of round and was wobbling horribly. Might want to check it out for your own safety.
Great looking tractor. Only thing is its too pretty. I wouldnt use it because Y would be afraid of scratching the paint or getting it dirty. We have a super A with a 200 engine. We a present have a woods 59 inch belly mower on it. Its rough looking and gets used.We are on the look out for the attachments and inplements etc.
SHE BE A BEAUTIFUL MACHINE. WHAT ARE YOUR GUIDELINES FOR LEAVING SOME FASTENERS PAINTED OR NOT? ARE YOU GOING TO REPLACE RED PAINTED BACK AXEL ZERKS WITH CHROMED ONES LIKE ON THE FRONT?
Well thank you! Depends on where the bolts are then I decide if I want them as accents or painted and yessir, already replaced the rears as well with stainless steel ones.
You keep referring to cericoating different parts of the tractor. I’m unfamiliar with that, is it a name brand paint or like powder coating? Love the looks of your tractor, the tire upgrade, the paint scheme, all the small details were spot on.
Yes Cerakote is a company that makes oven or air cured Teflon type paint. Check out their website and you can check out the photo gallery or you can look at some of my earlier videos and you can see me spray a Frankenstein rifle with it as well. Thanks for the compliment on my SA!
Beautiful tractor! Not original but like you said it’s your tractor. It’s possible that it could have been a demonstrator. Which at that time were painted white.
Its not original from the assembly line but it is original to what a dealer did with it in the 50s from West Virginia to compete with the newer Tractors by putting white on it. It wasn't white everywhere so it wasn't a demonstrator though.
If it was pure white at one point, it's a good chance you have a white demonstrator, idk if you meant the whole tractor itself or just the side of the hood and grill but my bad if I heard you wrong hahaha didn't know just wondered if it could have been a demonstrator tractor from the dealer back in the day.
Yeah I should have been more clear but it just had some similar to like it is now, no white on anything else rulingouta demonstrator. Most likely a dealer possibly did it in the 50s or 60s
I don't care if it's an originally two tone because of how good it looks. It would have looked nice solid red but not as great as that does accept the skulls they don't fit.
Undoubtedly, the nicest Super A that I have ever seen.
Would love to see it in a Christmas parade pulling a float.
Well thank you!
Absolutely beautiful! You have a right to be very proud of your work. I totally love the two tone with the cream!
Thank you! 😊
What a beautiful job. Now that's how you restore a tractor. Man that thing sounds good too. Congratulations on your hard work. Better than new.

A two tone beauty! Love the colors.

Thats very kind, thank you!

Its all painted, I laid down the white first, taped it up then the red followed by clear coat on the sheet metal. I did some videos of intrested.
If you have a 2 dishpan plow claws connected to the bolts sticking out of the inside of the drivewheels you wouldn't need a step...
