Loved every min of it Joey, seems those farmalls were just made to have a fertilizer hopper on them!! I guess if time allows the little cub will get a set of cultivators and a fertilizer system. Rounded up some parts finally, I can't wait. I hope to one day find a C or something with some front mounts too!! I love y'all's journey, I watch all the time, fail to comment enough but keep them Coming!! Congrats on the 14k, that is amazing!!! 😁😁👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🌾🌾🌽🌽
One of these days I need to go give Brandon a visit. Pretty bad I live like 5 minutes from him and haven’t been. Kinda have a feeling I might have to take the semi truck if I go shopping there 😂
Man spring fever for sure. That Super A is looking good. I like the idea of the old fertilizer hopper base with the new plastic hopper top. I got my 100 set up the other day. All my corn ground plowed and my garden played off. Planing on planting corn Sunday after church.
It’s nice to have two Farmalls. That allows you to leave fertilizer on one. I have one with a Cole system that never comes off. The way it’s built it doesn’t require the angled draft bar. I have another that I run the IH system like yours. It goes on and off as needed. Spring fever has come to Alabama too. Got my taters, onions, beets, and English Peas in the ground
Good afternoon Joey. I was slow this AM getting to the video. No sense rushing my days pleasure. I’m really happy that the Sammy Super A has received a new and productive life. I never named it, but I’m glad it has been adopted into a new family of farmers. I’m looking forward to seeing some videos of Roger’s Super as well. Thanks so much for sharing the usage of the tractor and it’s equipment. Stan here.
Good stuff, I think the gear is on all of our farmall's. I've got to clean the gas lines on the 140. It runs for about a minute and shuts off. I pulled the fuel line and it's dripping about 1 drop/second from the sediment bowl. Got almost 1" of rain last night and more rain on the way tomorrow. Hope it dries up soon at least enough to plant.
Those Farmall's are really versatile machines...My problem is, I would never remember all the configurations, So I would need a tractor set up with each!
Congratulations on the 14K! You've gone big time with 2 horses in the stable now. Lol. It will make it a lot more convenient to be able to leave the hitch on the 140.
Good video again. It's neat for me to see the fertilizer attachment getting installed on the Super A. Well done on 14000 subs. I was very happy when I reached 1000!
That is my dream setup right there. A Super A to fertilize, list and cultivate with while leaving the hitch on the 140 for my heavy work. One question. When you put the stud under the platform to hook your bail to, were the holes already in the platform or did you have to drill them out? All you need now id a seat cover. Y'all have a great weekend!
I think it makes more sense to run the chain on the left side like on the A and your 140. It's more efficient simple setup on the cub running off the right side but that chain that runs back to the wheel if your chain isn't tensioned right will rub the footboard or the bottom of the brake levers since it runs close. I know mine will. The only difference is the countershaft that runs back under the belly of the tractor. With those setups with the countershaft that runs underneath can you use a belly planter or will they interfere with each other?
Ouch!! $100 for all that stuff. This is crazy. As many hundreds of thousands of those things that are made. I know there old but what happened to them all. I know many were probably worn out but I bet every farm around had some of those things hanging on a nail in the barn.
Agra supply has these hoppers I have bought one do work good, I got one I h but my 454 two row needed 2 .the I h in 1972 cost 45 dollars ,the Agra supply costs 180 dollars
@@Jtwes what is that side used for? Only seen them on that side on a cub. Everything is on right on a cub. Sprockets on the seed and fertilizer hopper is on the right. Never seen anything on the right on a super A to 140
@@Jtwes I gotcha. I’ll send you a picture of that little plate I’m talking about. I’m surprised Brandon didn’t give you 1. He made sure he gave me that gasket for mine I think the plate keeps the seal from walking out I believe
Hey Joey, quick question I have an IH duplex seed hopper and fertilizer distributor on the Super A. There is also one on the 140 we just bought. I haven't tried running either one. Is there a lever engagement like for the PTO, or does it run continuously? I glanced at the 140 when unloading it but didn't see the chain moving. I don't think it would run continuously due to spilling fertilizer and seed where not needed. Thanks, Ken
It's been three years since you bought that truck!!!! 😮 Wow time flies!
Awesome Super A, thanks for sharing
Looking good! I’m still working on getting one to install. Have a great week.

Ohh, and congrats on 14k! I remember when it was under 3k. Glad to see the channel keep growing and improving.
Thanks Paul and Thanks for being a good friend.

Im still holding the brakes a little.
That Super A is doing the job. All the best from Greensboro NC.
Yea!
I was wondering if the 140 stuff would work? Are they the same 40 inch rows?
They are I measured them the other day.

I will be back for sure Joey, couldn't ask for better timing with this video 😁😁👍👍
Thanks Nelson. Look forward to seeing those Rolling Cultivators in action.

Enjoyed watching!

Hey Mark
I had to drill them. But lucky me I had a good pattern to go by 5 feet away. lol
@@Jtwes Yes you did.
I found out last year that the chain had to go a certain direction based on the wheel size and pulling direction.
Hey Brother Danny. I can’t remember but I was probably referring to on the chain was making sure the split side of that link chain was on the top.

you can mount a planter to the fertilizer unit.

I bet 40 % of them are a cheap microwave now.

Were you able to get that Agri Hopper to work on the Planter.
My super and 140 has a flat plate that goes over top the round piece with a gasket and you put that 4 bolts back in that square flat piece of metal
Might get me a gear for the right side one day also.
@@Jtwes what is that side used for? Only seen them on that side on a cub. Everything is on right on a cub. Sprockets on the seed and fertilizer hopper is on the right. Never seen anything on the right on a super A to 140
There’s some planters that run off that side I believe.

Where did you get the drive gear and parts 100 bucks is not bad.i have a 140 that doesn't have the gear.
Burch store tractor.
That lact left foot is crooked. Is it bent or is it the arm that hold the cultivator that's tweaked?
How was your family

Just watched the video again and realized the rod that you are hooking up at 11:40 activates the chains when the front cultivator arms are lowered.
Hi my Friend how are you
Good
Great mrs
