We bought a 65 Hisense U7N for our gaming room. The experience with the Ps5, Xbox-S and Nintendo Switch is kinda mind-blowing for a TV at this price point. (compared to our LG C4). The brightness is great, colors are amazing, handles motion better than some higher tier TV's. Upscaling is pretty good. We have to remember that "beauty is in the eye of the beholder ", and the amount of leisure money we each have to spend. Not everyone can fetch $2500-$5000+ to get the best of the best. Most of us have to settle for the best TV for our budget. Thank you Fomo for the great reviews and informative content you've made in 2024 and the past. Looking forward for 2025. Happy Holiday to everyone 🎉🎊
I purchased an 85" QM8 last year and absolutely love it. So, I purchased a 98" QM851G on sale for $2998 a few days ago. I'm still waiting for it to arrive, but I can hardly wait to get it set up. I'm surprised at how close the QM7 is to the higher end models. I feel like TCL and Hisense have come so far and closed the gap in quality.
I just purchased the LG 83” B4 for $2,499 at BestBuy + the 5 year Geek Squad warranty (for burn in) for $499, while opening BB credit card to get a total of $300 in rewards to use for a new iPone purchase (my 8 Plus is dying).. I replaced a 65” 2016 LG OLED that had both various burn ins and green blob in the center. The viewing is in light controlled / very dark room. No Gaming. Mainly HD movies, some UA-cam & Football. Wife ia avid CNBC, and other news broadcasts so the TV is on for an average of 14 hours per day (hence the ext. Warranty). THANK YOU FOR YOUR RECOMMENDATION in Black Friday round-up review posting !!!!
I personally don’t think you have to worry about burn in anymore bro but I don’t blame you for getting the warranty for other reasons. 2016 OLED didn’t have the software they have no for pixel refresher and pixel shift etc. to ovoid burn in just make sure the tv gets turned off every once in a while.
Is the QM7 still the best 98” tv or do you think there is a better 98” plus size TV value included? 90% of the time it’s for Apple TV steaming of the spectrum app for news, Hulu, Netflix, and then espn for sports games. 10% movies
I purchased a 65" LG G4 as well as their flagship soundbar the S95TR LG Soundbar. It's getting mounted tomorrow morning. I got a look at the Samsung S95D today while I was waiting on my order to get sorted. I can't deny the S95D is indeed a very beautiful TV, but I'm not keen on no DTS passthrough for such an expensive TV. I am a fan of both Dolby Vision and HDR10+ (I'm replacing a 55" Vizio OLED/ Elevate combo that handled both, which will be the bedroom TV moving forward), but the fact is there is just more content available with Dolby Vision. I think if I used the TV for just gaming, the S90D or S95D may be the best choice, but for mixed use that includes 4K Blu-ray movies, I think the G4 is the best choice for me. I'm typing this on a Samsung G9 ultrawide monitor, so I don't have anything against Samsung. I also bought a little 32" TCL Roku TV a few weeks ago for an elderly relative for her kitchen counter, and it's quite nice for a little budge TV.
I may be in minority here and end up buying 77’ A95L with Sony QUAD. Went to BB to buy S90D or S95D during Black Friday promotions. but when I decided buy QUAD change my decision to buy A95 to make it Sony + Sony products. Not sure if I make the right choice money wise. but at the system work seamlessly and gives you bigger impact. Plus having one remote ( physical or app) both is less hassle.
I also went with the A95L as the great TV on the market. I did like at the S95D, but I didn't like the matte screen (sucks up stray light and ruins black levels) and well it is a Samsung and they have a horrible reputation regarding warranty. I also looked at the G4, but I liked the colors more in the Sony. Also, LG hide the fact that they spy on what you see. Sony does this as well IFF you turn on Samba TV, which you can skip upon first boot (and of course later). The Sony isn't perfect, though, with its light intensity often shifting to preserve the panel.
Also there is a question about the gen2 vs gen3 QDOLED panel used in A95L I heard here in this channel that all A95L made after certain date this year are 3 gen. But not sure how to confirm it.
@@joji6485 it's info that i didn't know untill now. I dont know,i bought it one year ago with HT A9,and i have no regret. They had some issues with DV at start but they fix it with the update. I use it only for bluray movies,or streaming from Sony Bravia Core.
After watching just your excellent content, Brians and Celebs content and finally watching it in a store in Hamburg, my clear winner I wanna buy is the Bravia 9 in 85"!!!!...Also to add that our living rom is very, very bright. The Bravia 9 cost 1.000.- € less than the LG G4 83" and looks for my taste even better, ...the HDR and just the enormous brightness is awesome and the upscaling as well. Watched the Bravia 9 side by side to an OLED Sony and really liked it better because it's more natural. OLEDs are for my taste too much artificial, missing the shadow details, too much blacked out. And on topp of that I do not have the risk of OLED aging and burnin.
I managed to get a sonx x90l 85 inch in store from Costco, it’s the best tv I’ve ever owned. Love it, especially with 5 year warranty. Did alot of research from your channel and Caleb’s and new I couldn’t pass up on that deal
The challenging part about discussing LCD is that you simply can't do it in blanket terms as if performance scales up and down just like like an OLED. Panel type and dimming zones are often changing. You will read or watch reviews about a 65" version of something and in reality the 85" is a completely different beast. Thank you for all of your comparisons this year FOMO, and Merry Christmas 🙏
What made you change your mind about the s95d? First few months you were all about the g4 and did several side by sides saying it clearly beats the s95d. Were there issues on the g4 you didn’t notice at first that crept up as the months went by?
I was able to get a 98" Hisense UX and I am very pleased with it's performance at the 98" size category. Is it perfect? No, but pretty dam close. So thank you Mr. Fomo for all of your content to help us fooks make an informed purchase decision. Peace out!
Ok Fomo. Nice work. My $1500 value TV is the LG C3 77 from BB. NOS to be delivered free on Monday the 30 of December. You were right about LG's need to reduce prices. Merry Christmas. 😊😊
I bought the 98in QM7 based on your reviews and recommendations.. however I notice an audible humming sound when the brightness is above 50 and it gets louder the brighter it gets. Is that normal or should I exchange it? Anyone with a QM7 does yours do that? Its very noticeable in silent scenes or when there is no audio or muted.
Just got a 55" QM7. Your reviews were spot on. It's not perfect, but it's still pretty good. It's not calibrated, but I find myself impressed with the colors out of the box in hdr mode, FWIW. I wanted an OLED, but they weren't in the budget. I almost went with the U8N, but that went from $477 to $729. That was too big of a jump for 5%. Unless it craps out early, I'm pretty happy with this purchase. Thanks for your in-depth reviews.
wound up with the 75" bravia 7. costco cyber monday deal reduced the cost $200 plus the added warranty & free delivery to the room of use, happy camper. your reviews were very helpful.
Why no mention of the Panasonic Z95A? I replaced a 65" Samsung S90C with a 65" Panasonic Z95A and the latter's Picture, and Sound, quality are in a totally superior league.
The TCL models PQ are greatly improved with recent firmware updates, so the value aspect is even better than what is presented from your previous reviews. Tone mapping and blooming control are even better on my 75" QM8 2024.
Thank you for the great work! I picked up a 55" TCL QM7 for $479 at Best Buy, use the Roku Ultra streamer, and the picture is spectacular. I use it mainly for movies on Netflix, TV shows and sports. Could not be happier with the picture quality, and the value is hard to beat.
Recently bought a 77 inch S95C. Brand new from Amazon for $2377. I thought I made the right purchase. Until the crazy non stop black out issues while gaming on my ps5.
I was recently fortunate enough to have my 65” U8N calibrated by Dewayne Davis and impressive is an understatement. I’d seriously consider Hisense U6, U7, and U8N TV’s. Awesome video Fomo!
You will love it. Just got the 77” a couple of weeks ago. Amazing. Watch Guardians of the Galaxy 2. The arrow scene 1hr 5 min in. Make sure all the light are off. Mind blowing…
With this model you need to pray for the tv to be QD OLED and not WOLED because cheeky Samsung won't expose this information on the box. Good Luck buddy.
@@michaelpoger6662 Could be as well . The S95D model is more likely to be QD OLED at 65 inch. This is why I never trust Samsung products, not only with tv's . They have a long scamming history. Big shame. At Least they could of tag it on the box.
I ended up getting the Sony A95L. It’s a great tv but the interface/tv settings is a bit complicated n took time to get use to. Next year I’ll b the market for the 83”, so I’m excited to c what comes out in that respect.
Great content ❤ also, for the ones of us who own the B4 and DEFINITELY HAVE THE FOMO over getting the C4, can you make a comparison video with real content (like Game of Thrones) between the two? Thanks
Hey Stop the Fomo! Love your reviews and noticed this year you always highly recommend the Samsung S90D. I've seen the TV in person multiple times and think it's beautiful, but I always notice a pinkish hue over the screen. Is this because it hasn't been Calibrated correctly or is this the downside of QD-OLED technology?
I bought the Panasonic 65 at Costco, thanks for the tip! I bought a freezer from Costco at the same time and got a $100 discount for buying 2 appliance’s. So the price for the Panasonic was actually only $750. Wow, what a deal!
When Sony comes out with a banger tv they usually let it run for two years, look out for the A95L successor I figure that one is gonna be a banger, they getting a new media tek chip plus 3rd generation qd oled panel, im predicting this tv is gonna be the cream of the crop
I had the qm751g but coming from a cx tv I didn't like the blacks looking so blue like all led tvs do so I returned it and went with a g4. I just cant go back to led now that I've had oled.
I was able to get the Samsung 65” 90C from Best Buy for $999. Amazing deal for a 65”OLED. I had a Hisense H9G before but it went out after about 3 or 4 years. The motherboard had fried or something. I always took care of it with dusting and cleaning. This left a sour taste in my mouth and I wouldn’t recommend them anymore after that experience. I have other older smart Samsung and LG tvs in my home that still work with no issues
I was ready to take them up on that deal until I discovered they will not deliver to my area, which surprised me given there are over 2 million people in the city and suburbs where I live. I decided to order a C4 on a $1200 deal instead...which was eventually cancelled 2 weeks later due to being out of stock. So I opted to go for the LG C3...which was also cancelled a week later due to being out of stock. With a few days left before I will be going on a trip out of the country for 2 weeks, I managed to get a great deal on a 65" G4 and grabbed the S95TR soundbar out of curiosity about the WOW Orchestra feature. No cancellation this time; I have both safely in my home. I ended up spending 3x more than I had planned, but I now have LGs flagship OLED and flagship soundbar system for just under $3K, which suits me. Just the TV alone cost more than what I paid for both a year ago.
@@AKSBSU Yeah Samsung used local suppliers a lot like Best Buy. When I bought my 65'' from Samsung's website (I get big discounts through work) I actually picked it up from my local Best Buy instead of waiting for delivery.
I bought my dad a 77 " S90d for his 50th birthday and he loves it! Thanks fomo your videos helped a lot on picking the right one he's never experienced the joy of oled until now 😄
It’s difficult for normal mortals to real world test & compare TVs at home. Set ups in shops vary so much - they run in demo mode. So we/I have to rely on reviewers. I replaced my 7 year old LG 55” OLED with the 65” Samsung S95D. Based on our very bright room & mixed viewing. So pleased you backed my choice - because you’d recommended it before. Also got it calibrated by Crampton & Moore based on your process. Thanks for the video
After watching numerous videos from you, Brian & a couple others. I purchased a Samsung S95D (77") on a sweet deal & I absolutely love it! I then found another sweet deal on the Samsung 990D Soundbar System. With the 2, I couldn't be happier! So thank you for all your hard work & brining us all these great videos.
@arckanum332 I've noticed no drawbacks to the TV. Everything displays bright, crisp & clear. Most of my viewing is either done thru Streaming or Blu-Ray, with the occassional local football game over the air. The A-R Screen does a decent job, but it's not perfect. It does a good job preventing ambient image reflections in a bright room, but it won't block 100% from a bright light source like a light or lamp.
I'm waiting to get a new TV once the Super Bowl sales go up. I told everyone to get me gift cards for Christmas so that should help along with the sales. I'm probably going to try and snag a 77 LG C3. Their is a deal at Best Buy for $1499.99 for the 77 and hopefully it might be around that price when Super Bowl deals go up. All the BB i've gone to lately seem to have a lot left and i don't think too many people will snatch all them up before SB. But if course depending on any other discount i might spend extra on a newer model if the price is right.
I got the G4 for myself and the s95d for my mom. I gotta say I think I'm leaning towards liking the s95d better. The g4 makes old movies look so much better, but the s95d just has that wow factor with colors. They just pop so much more than the g4
As of right now, the X90L looks better in my opinion, I recently purchased a Bravia 7 for my other room and with 4K Blu-ray players hooked up to both of them I think the X90L is better (but that can change depending on a year from now won the Bravia 7 gets more update updates)
@@j.krii. to be honest, I don’t watch sports so I couldn’t answer that with 100% accuracy. The TV has really good motion in general. If I was to guess the motion for sports would probably be exceptionally good if you set motion set motion, flow to custom smoothness 1 and clearness to 1. Those settings just for movies. It looks better than a movie theater with motion without giving you the soap opera effect so for sports it probably be good too.
You did it again... you ignored the 50% of us who watch in a non light controlled room in the daytime. You know, a family's primary family room TV. QM7 sucks at reflection control. That shoul;d, as with the B7, disqualify it from any value award, unless it is a "Dark Room Only Value Award"/. QM8 would then need to be your all arounder rec. which has very good reflection control. Or U8N if you value flesh tones above high nit tone mappingl. You really need to watch TV outside of a dark cave every once in awhile... you know, like normal people.
I watch my Bravia 7 in a bright room next to my balcony window and I have many fish tanks and plants around my tv with led lights on etc and I have never have any problem watching and enjoying the tv. 🤩
@@miltyap5600 if the third worst reflection handling panel in the history of rtings is OK with your viewing environment, good on. you. It works for you. However, FOMO is an influencer, and has to take everyone into account, including the numerous reports on AVS forums of buying and having to return the B7 b/c of its terrible reflection handling for daytime viewing (esp. movies). Which makes it absolutely not an all arounder. and my argument is that if it isn;'t an all arounder, it can't be called a value pick at $1,300. And that if FOMO watched daytime movies in a normal family room, he would never recommend it as anything but a light controlled room pick.
I happily stuck with my LG C3. I have absolutely zero complaints the brightness is good enough the colors are good enough the clarity is good enough the upscaling is good enough the game features are good enough pretty much everything about it is Beyond good enough.
A lot of the TVs mentioned here are only good if you’ve only experienced lower tier TVs. You’re better off buying a used higher end tv from Geek Squad than buying something like a b4 or qm6/7. Also, unless it’s a G series, why buy a woled over a good mini-led or QD at current prices?

S90d 65 inch just dropped to 1399$ at Best Buy today. Going later to pick one up!
You will love it. Just got the 77” a couple of weeks ago. Amazing. Watch Guardians of the Galaxy 2. The arrow scene 1hr 5 min in. Make sure all the light are off. Mind blowing…
@@tomgroth2898 Been absolutely loving the 77" S90D too. The color depth is just on another level.
With this model you need to pray for the tv to be QD OLED and not WOLED because cheeky Samsung won't expose this information on the box. Good Luck buddy.
@ oof I didn’t think that was an issue for the 65 inch model? Edit I’m the USA
@@michaelpoger6662
Could be as well . The S95D model is more likely to be QD OLED at 65 inch. This is why I never trust Samsung products, not only with tv's . They have a long scamming history. Big shame. At Least they could of tag it on the box.
Missed out on Black Friday deal on 77 s90d . Do you guys think the current price on them will drop after Xmas ?
Most likely the week before the Super Bowl at the beginning of February
My plan, based on your other videos, is to get the S90D about mid February and grab a q-soundbar to go with it.
I ended up getting the Sony A95L. It’s a great tv but the interface/tv settings is a bit complicated n took time to get use
to.
Best TV of the year next year will probably be the 83" Bravia 10 if they make it
When Sony comes out with a banger tv they usually let it run for two years, look out for the A95L successor I figure that one is gonna be a banger, they getting a new media tek chip plus 3rd generation qd oled panel, im predicting this tv is gonna be the cream of the crop
Love my LG C4 .What's up with the gloves?
Mickey Mouse fan
Getting an 65" S90C before black Friday for $999 was the best purchase I made all year. It replaces a 55" LG B2 and there is no comparison.
I have a 77 and 65'' s90c, great tv's. I use the 65 as a gaming pc monitor lol.
Got the QM7 this year for $699 per your recommendations. Looks great! Thanks for all your analysis to Stop the FOMO!
Just watched "What Happened to the World's largest Tube TV". So awesome for tv enthusiasts!
Thank you for making this video. Helpful!
I bought my dad a 77 " S90d for his 50th birthday and he loves it! Thanks fomo your videos helped a lot on picking the right one he's never experienced the joy of oled until now 😄
my S95d 77" is showing up tomorrow. soooo excited
How’s the coating? Any draw backs ? I want the higher brightness but worry about this new coating
I snagged the s990c for $600 and it's amazing
Got an open box QM7 85" for $1285. I'm very happy with it.
Of course my Panasonic Z95A-65 win
Fantastic TV 👌
I bought 2 55" qm7's for $497 ea during Black Friday and omg the TV is gorgeous!!
Why is the lg C4 not on this list
lol I loved the Snob's Value Award :)
I have the Bravia 7 and am so glad it won the spirit(exceeded expectations) award! 🤩
It is indeed a great tv.
What about Panasonic or Sony?
We all want to see Panasonic with QD OLED
Spot on brother!! Spot on 👏🏼👏🏼
I'm waiting to get a new TV once the Super Bowl sales go up.
Hi fomo, another great review, but you forgot tv's above 95", whats your pick in the 95" and above thanks
I just bought the 65" LG G4 because I had FOMO.
I got the G4 for myself and the s95d for my mom. I gotta say I think I'm leaning towards liking the s95d better. The g4 makes old movies look so much better, but the s95d just has that wow factor with colors. They just pop so much more than the g4
TV prices in Sweden are double or more the prices in the US for the same exact TV...
I admit I’m a narrow minded snob. Sony only. But not their highest priced TVs as I own an x90L. Very pleased with it.
Thank you sir
You weren't kidding! QM7 punches way way above its price.
I'm no snob but I did grab a QN90D for $650 new in box 😊
Thanks for the video, I can't disagree with any of your choices. Have a Merry Christmas!
I think the best TV for it value is the Sony X90L, Its last year’s TV so it’s cheaper than Bravia 7 but looks a little bit better in my opinion.
I just would like to know why the s95c is never mentioned in any of these reviews they always start with the s90c and then skip the S95c
last year model!
@gosman949 the s90c is also last year model
@@MrSeeingTAO so? I'm only interested in OLED!
Thanks
I bought a 55" LG G4. Did I fucked up?
I totally agree🎉 S95D bought it few weeks ago. Bcos of that QD 😂 obvious choice.
how do you like that mat screen?
I want the QM7 but I keep seeing Reddit posts about software issues and people recommending to use the beta firmware. I mean…what!!!??
The best is Bravia 9
strangely left out!
I agree i love my Sony Bravia B9 75-inch.
Oled still a better technology and more cleaner picture
G4
Best LCD yes
Before I watch this video. All TVs with MediaTek Pentonic processors should just get honorable mentions. It would be fair to a Hisense Lineup.
I have a sony 77inch oled and love it
Keep up the good work 👏 🙌
Even my X90L exceeded my expectation. Bravia 7 will be even better!
As of right now, the X90L looks better in my opinion, I recently purchased a Bravia 7 for my other room and with 4K Blu-ray players hooked up to both of them I think the X90L is better (but that can change depending on a year from now won the Bravia 7 gets more update updates)
How is sports, NBA on x90l ? I watch only sports and my samsung q80c is a garbage, motion with artefacts.
@@j.krii. to be honest, I don’t watch sports so I couldn’t answer that with 100% accuracy.
Love you, Fomo you continue to be the best in the business
What the? I thought you professionals didn't like the mat screen on the S95D?
X90L 85" ranking among the mid-tier.
I don’t know what category would fall in but S 90 D has to be shouted out for its value
The 100 Hisense for 1499 got snob.
The LG G4 hands down the best picture quality compared to the S95B matt finish. You lose contrast with the Samsung.
Qm7 better then the Bravia 7 ????
Will have to compare this
Never Samsung.
They has so many problems after 1-2 years
Best game tv of the year!!!!!????? 🔥🔥🔥
You forgot the A95L 😊😊😊😅
last year's model
It will win the best TV again???
not according to Fomo!
Panasonic Z95 is best👌
U8n is better than qm8 washed out colors
Pre calibration
,Great TV year for many. I recommended the TCL QM7 to a friend.
Fomo please do a 98UX
Sony Bravia 7
I happily stuck with my LG C3. I have absolutely zero complaints the brightness is good enough the colors are good enough the clarity is good enough the upscaling is good enough the game features are good enough pretty much everything about it is Beyond good enough.
Panasonic W95 is not a good TV really. If you have your own sound system, do not buy it.
My TV didnt win!😅
A lot of the TVs mentioned here are only good if you’ve only experienced lower tier TVs. You’re better off buying a used higher end tv from Geek Squad than buying something like a b4 or qm6/7. Also, unless it’s a G series, why buy a woled over a good mini-led or QD at current prices?
Do u have the online link for them? Can u place it in the chat for us, thanks!
LG G4 and Sony Bravia 9 are definitely the best TV’s this year.
Best overall TV of the year 2024 is the G4. NOTHING comes close to it's overall performance!
Inferior color volume is its biggest weakness.
