      @ The problem (burn in) happened to many pepole four years ago, and now it has been solved for a long time to a large percentage. You must have a static screen on your TV for 6 hours a day, so that after a few weeks, this problem occurs to you. There is no problem, if it happens, use pixel cleaning and enjoy your OLED panel. @@hajamin8775 Thank you for the insight! I was wondering too on another statement about the OLED: what about if you just leave your tv on for long periods of time (not paused - just left on for 24 hours, for example). I imagine it does drain ANY tv, but is there any difference in OLED vs. QLED - sorry to bother you, but if you know the stats, please let me know. Thanks!

    • @hajamin8775
      @hajamin8775 10 днів тому +1

      No problem, I hope I can help you.
      If you leave the TV in a fixed image for 24 hours, when your smart TV feels that you have nothing to do with it, after a while it will go to the always ready mode.
      It always comes ready and the whole screen turns off until it is out of control
      If you don't use it, the screen will turn off. This is a good feature that if you forget, the TV itself is careful not to harm it.
      QLED and Oled TVs each have their own advantages and disadvantages. Watch a few videos comparing the two. After you understand the whole story, ask your questions and I will answer them.

Those 2 questions/concerns were the only ones that really were left on the OLED vs. QLED debate, as I had read so much about the superiority of OLED (I think with hundreds of reviews, reddit comment boards, countless YT videos, and shopping sites, I may be too blind to watch my impending new tv!).

      No they do not. Their main limitation was space and size. I had a 36 inch wide screen CRT that was a monster and required a removal team to shift it. You would rarely see such tv sets sitting above waist height. At normal viewing distances they had very clear images as their colour processing was excellent. Their issue was never image quality only a plasma could out perform them but it was only a few models that did.

      I couldn't agree more.
      I watched all the reviews, heard all the commentary, saw the flaming from the "purist" neckbeards on reddit about what makes a TV good or not, and had an idea of which Sony or LG I was going to buy when I got to the store.
      All of that changed when I saw the Samsung S95D in person.
      Seeing the showroom lights glare off of the other screens with the defined edges or rainbow scatter patterns made them all offensive to look at in comparison. Just gross and distracting. I couldn't even focus on the content playing because of the reflections on the other screens.
      I bought the 77" S95D with absolute confidence and have enjoyed watching all of my favorite shows and movies come to life in a way that makes them feel like I'm seeing it all for the first time.
      And yes, the black levels are perfect, and it definitely gets brighter than we need it to.
      F the haters, and for anyone on the fence about the anti-glare on the S95D...just go look at it. You will know the second you lay eyes on it, whether it is the right screen for you.

Haters gonna hate but in Canada Oled are 2x (up to 3x) the price and its hard pressed to find this quality picture for under $2500. I almost got the qm8 but its literally $500-$1k more than the u8n up here. • @TheBucsAnthem
      @TheBucsAnthem Місяць тому +4

      The C1 is still legendary. It has the hardware and software for BFI and smooth 120hz gameplay that was taken out in models C2 & beyond. You can also adjust the brightness level along with OLED pixel level that you cannot do in models C2 & beyond.
      No green tint either...and you still can display gallery photos as wall art too.
      I think LG realize they gave too much and made the C1 that good and took away from the C series and then dump better quality into the G series.
      I had the C4 and I was not impressed at all....especially the green tint was horrendous!!!!

      A lot of major channels like this one seem to be on a major hate campaign against it though. They bash it at every opportunity they have. Yes, it is the most expensive one but there is no comparable product out there on the market. It's the only consumer TV on the market that's capable of bring near-OLED image quality with some of the brightest that (Mini-)LED is capable of. Yes, for complex situations the unoptimized software can make it perform worse in those few situations compared to some other Mini-LEDs, but 99% of the time this one still comes out on top easily.
      Honestly seems to be a case of OLED fanboys being jealous that a non-OLED TV is so damn close to actually beating the best OLEDs out there on their own ground with the benefits of top-end LED, so in a desperate attempt they try to make this TV look as bad as possible so they can turn away as many consumers as possible, potentially delaying when their 'almighty OLED' is demolished.
      Anyhow, she there doesn't seem to be any black friday deals on it where I live. Best price for the 85 inch is still €4400 and best for 75 inch is still about €4000. My current ZF9 dropped from €3600 to €1500 in about 6 months. Was hoping the 75 inch one would be going for 3K by now, but I suppose that will not happen for a while.

I think I speak for a lot of us, you are one of the most honest, selfless, trustworthy, and will admit to making mistakes when it happens. Most YTers do NOT take constructive criticism well and see it as an attack (talking about you, Andrew Robinson). Caleb is an excellent example as to a public figure should act. No one knows everything, and NO ONE is never wrong (again talking to you, Andrew Robertson). It’s usually those with low confidence that believe everything they do is correct. Einstein, Newton, and Paul Dirac, all made mistakes, and even though these are the smartest people that ever lived, they still made mistakes. Thank you Caleb for being you, you are a good soul sir!

    I've been researching a new TV this past week. I have a 8yo Samsung 4k 60hz 50" panel that has gotten bright spots in it that I suspect are from the LED diffusers shifting. So no matter what I got in the mid range it's going to be a significant upgrade. After *much* deliberation I decided to go with a Hisense 55U8N. My budget was ~$750. The 55U8N went on sale for $700. I didn't want an OLED TV due to the extended run times and kids using it besides ~2x the cost. I have an ultrawide OLED monitor on my PC which is incredible and my main hub for work and entertainment. I'd like to see content about the differences between the screen sizes within a model line. There seems to be misinformation online concerning what is cut down on the smaller screen sizes. For example the 65U8N has 1600 dimming zones vs the 55U8N 672 dimming zones even though there is only a 10" difference according to rtings. However, the 672 dimming zones is still nearly 3x more than the 55U7N.

    just finished setting up the A95L a day ago as a warranty replacement for my A9G master series i bought in 2020. out the box A95L is OK but doesn't blow me away its strengths are with film and practical scenes. despite the fact they improved the brightness it still needs a controlled light environment. definitely needs to be tweaked based on content. options are standard, vivid photo/ Imax/ professional/ cinema the most tolerable ones for me are cinema for movies and photo for standard video. does extremely good with HDR 4K content but looks pretty dark for standard 1080p. probably the best of the batch of TV,s thats available however. but you still need to control the lighting in the room to get the best picture experience. should add an important warning for anyone investing a high dollar amount for these sets. Sony has a habit of discontinuing the main boards for these units if they go bad . and that's after 3 years of usage. that means they are not repairable. if you buy one get at least a 5 year repair or replace warranty because chances are that part for that unit won't be available within that time. Made sure i got another 5 year warranty for the AL95 as i suspect parts for this model want be available in the near future
