@@jameshenz1780 Totally agree. Mine came closed back but at the time, I found the low end too offensive so I took the back panel off an stuck with it since. I want to do some more experimenting with it off and on.
Cool brother! I follow the guitologist on yt. He's a tech. He got this roadsters combo for peanuts due to it not working. I enjoy watching amp techs. Anyway, after finally fixing it, when he play tested it, it sounded great. Had sweet tone and depth.
@@jameshenz1780 I remember that video too lol! Absolutely love the tones. I’m thinking of uploading some tone videos to my channel with the roadster soon.
I'd love to know your settings for the "metal" segment @ 6:07 . . . sounds awesome. I'm trying to get my Roadster Combo Channel 4 to sound something like that.
Thanks for checking out! Unfortunately I sold my amp long ago. If I remember correctly though, I used very little bass and middle, treble and presence quite high. Gain about 5-6. Boosted with TS, gain 0, tone 5, level 5.
My first tube amp was a roadster. Such a good sounding amp. I traded it for a really problematic triaxis/2:90 rig and was gutted at the time haha. Since got back into the boogie world with a mkV 25
Really nice.. Curious were you running a delay in the fx loop? any issues with that? I played a roadster once and it seemed like the fx loop hurt the tone.
TS808= Ibanez Tubescreamer 808, likely the reissue pedal which has the original circuitry from the Maxon 808 which its name after. Not cheap but a great pedal. You can always start with an IbanezTS9 if the aforementioned one isn't within budget.
Nice! Just picked up a Roadster 2x12 combo yesterday and am loving it!
I personally think having an open back makes all the difference. Your combo is open back correct?

Great playing and amp

1:05 - Love this melody.
Ah, it’s old Finnish song called ”Kuusamo” 👍
The brit mode on the one I had never sounded anything like a british (M) amp
Yeah, that is correct.
How do you find the mark iv compares to the roadster?
They are quite different amps. I did a comparison couple years ago, hopefully that helps ua-cam.com/video/WfLKUKCxp4w/v-deo.htmlsi=jbcKKPjsCgdi_BLX

Yes, Axe-Fx was in the loop. I had no problems with rack units. The send levels just needed to be adjusted correctly to get optimal tone.
The first year model roadsters had fx loop issues
can i ask what is the OD pedal ?

Yeah, it was TS808 reissue. Great pedal.
