Outdoor Wood Boiler - Cut / Split / Stack / Repeat

- I love my outdoor wood boiler and the heat that it provides my home for a far less cost than propane. BUT - what it does cost is time and physical labor. Luckily I do enjoy cutting, splitting, and stacking firewood because the outdoor wood boiler sure does use a lot of it. My log splitter is a Troy Built 27 ton with a small Honda engine that I bought used several years back. It hasn’t met a piece of wood that it couldn’t crack yet! When you have more than a few rounds to split up this thing is worth it’s weight in gold.
God bless all of you and thanks for watching!

In 2016, we decided to move out of town with our two boys so that they could grow up outside, raising animals, working hard, and learning to love their family. I had the dream of starting a homestead, and that dream blended into starting a small farm. Some days it feels like we've bitten off more than we can chew, but there is always something interesting going on around here. We wouldn't trade our lives for anything now! Our videos show you what it looks like from day to day in our life. House and building projects, gardening, firewood, raising animals, hunting, fishing, gathering mushrooms, and much more

I have the same type of log splitter. I split for my indoor wood stove. You can't go wrong by buying your trees and having them delivered to your property. My friend does the same thing for his outdoor boiler. Saves time and money. New subscriber, Thanks Mike
Thanks Mike! Glad to have you here!
Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas D!
Good job...
Thanks for watching!
Great video hello from Virginia 👍👍🇺🇸
Hello Glenn!! Thanks for watching!
Merry Christmas 👌
Merry Christmas Tony!
John, I am envious. I would like to get my mitts on some of that wood for bowl turning. Nothing in central Texas like that. You are blessed to have the lifesytle you provided for your family. Your Uncle Jerry in China Spring, Texas
Thanks for watching Uncle Jerry! Proud to have you following along!
Nice setup !! Love your working line GSD 🐾🐾🐾🐾 I just recently moved from South Central Pa, back to Virginia near where I was raised, the Shenandoah Valley. I’m Rick a new subscriber 🪵🪓🔥👍👏
Thanks Rick! This is our second GSD. We love them. Great farm and family dogs!
Im trying to get used to the fact I dont have to split everything. Going to try full logs soon!
Yes it does take some getting used to but those big rounds also last the longest on those cold days! A good mixture of sizes is nice to have but I like the stuff that barely fits through the door.
I don’t know what I would do without a splitter. Probably get very cold! Merry Christmas to all!
Merry Christmas Danny!
Hello from Chicago! Does the wood have to be seasoned to use in your boiler?
Hi Patrick! Thanks for watching!!
The wood is better if it’s seasoned but it isn’t essential for my particular boiler because mine is an older model without secondary burn chambers and it also has a blower motor on it to keep the fire cranked up. Newer models require seasoned/dry wood if they have afterburners or no blower motor.
