Fast Firewood Cutting & Splitting! From Logs to Splits Fast & Easy!

- Wow, we cut and split this firewood fast! We cut the firewood logs with the Balfour Samurai buzz saw and split the firewood with the All Wood Muscle Wood log splitter! This load of black locust firewood would have taken him hours to process with his Stihl MS390 chainsaw and Fiskars X27 splitting axe. Let’s see how quickly we can get this firewood processed.

Friends helping friends. Need more of that in this world. Good job!
For sure, thanks Greg.
Man, ya'll couldnt ask for a better helper! That chick is amazing! I hate to say it boys, but she's outworking both of ya'[ll!!. Nice work lady!
Thanks, she is one of a kind for sure.
It’s a blessing to watch American people working together ❤
It’s what makes a strong country 😊
For sure, thanks.
I really like that Allwood splitter. Not cheap, but worth it. You saved him hours of back breaking work. Well done!
For sure, thanks Jeff!
@@hardworkingmanoutdoors Feel free to come out to Wisconsin with the Allwood anytime, even without!
Now that's gettin the job done!! Filling up the woodbank
Definitely and in short order, thanks Greg.
Thank You, it makes me feel good that there's still people out there teaching the younger generation and helping a friend out with hard work.
Appreciate the feedback. Hopefully my kids will carry this on. We try to teach them how to be good people.
That was a great video. Seeing the reaction from him with the equipment and the work you saved him was awesome. And also the 8 hours of time you gave him back in his life for something else.
Just a great video and friendship.
Absolutely! Thanks, time is more valuable than money!
First time I’ve run across your videos and was really impressed with the work ethic and helping a friend out. Rachel is amazing and could work me into the ground. Thanks for sharing
Appreciate the feedback David and welcome to the channel.
Nice work you guys. Always nice to help out friends! I used to cut wow with my Dad using a belt driven buzz saw behind the Farmall C. Love the Samurai- so much more compact and safer!
Thanks, it is definitely a bit more compact and a lot safer! Even when I bypass one of the safety features.
That was nice of you to help Jonathan out. He seems to be a good guy. He'll appreciate that splitter, no doubt. Great help thy neighbor video.
He is, thanks.
That was an impressive display of man glitter production. Many hands make for light work!
Thank you, and yes it does!
That saw and splitter is awesome. 😊❤
I agree. Thanks.
I had a lot of family and friends help me split wood. Too bad we all got old. Some are gone now and the others talked about all that wood we used to split. Good times.
Larry, it is definitely a good time. I enjoy doing it especially when my wife and kids help. I still remember going and getting firewood with my dad as a kid.
Great video, when I was young neighbors helped each other with most tedious jobs, even helping with mechanical troubles
Thanks, it’s definitely nice to help a friend out.
I'm old and really miss the firewood harvesting days.
I really enjoy doing firewood!
Wow!!!! Great video!! Rachel was the hardedt worker of the crew!!! Stay Hydrated and Have a Safe Day
Thanks David!
She’s definitely a worker! Thanks David.
Wow what a team. You guys burned through that wood in record time. Pat yourselves on the back❤
Kenny
Yes we did, thanks Kenny.
That was awesome. I really like that saw.
Thanks Tom, we really like the saw too!
That all wood splitter is a beast! Reminds me of a coin pusher with the mountain of wood dropping off the end of it.
It is a beast for sure! Thanks Jeff.
Well, your buddy is a good guy..
Yes he is. Thanks.
Nice to see the younger ones wanting to help with the fire wood
For sure! Thanks.
She is a keeper. I had three young ladies for farm hands. They all loved swinging the splitting axe. They grew up and moved on but they still make my day and come help sometimes
Yes she is! Sounds like you had a fun crew as well.
Nice job guys! He definitely appreciated the help.
Yes he did, thanks.
hi there good show ,good to help a friend , best to all ,john
Thanks John and we definitely saved him a lot of time!
I could use a samurai. I have a couple dump loads of locust logs waiting to be cut. Nice video!
It’s definitely nice to have around!
Nice. Job
Thanks Ralph!
That was so awesome and great fellowship. You guys working together super job.
Thank you, it definitely saved him some time!
What a TEAM, good operation and i would consider fast! Rachael definately kept up with the fellows and the machine, good job young lady good work TEAM!
Thanks, definitely nice having Rachel there helping!
Very impressive teamwork!! Along with the Samurai and the All Wood those rounds didn't stand a chance!! Glad your buddy was so impressed and I enjoyed the last outtake with the girls.
No they didn’t! The girls were excited to earn some $$.
Good video, great team. Thanks
You’re welcome, thanks.
Tell your buddy that you and Rachel charge by the round excellent service for a buddy 😮😊❤
For sure lol. We’re too efficient to charge by the hour.
Great AUDIO !!! thanks for that too
You’re welcome we appreciate the feedback.
Awesome set up right there.
Thanks it definitely works well!
good exercise and its never to late to start
yeah. will power, not a pill for that. decisions...
For sure! Thanks.
Good job guys
Thanks Joe.
Faster than a speedy chainsaw, able to make more splits from a single round...... it's HARDWORKINGMAN!!!!
For sure! Thanks.
Ok,so I need one of those fast splitters, one of those cutty-off saw thingys and most importantly one of those great working women! Then I'll really have some wood to sell. Seriously good to see a team working like that guys. Great video. Cheers from HB NZ
.
Thanks! It’s definitely a great combo!
How and where did you get the Balfour Samurai buzz saw?
I bought it from Eastern Farm Machinery near Guelph Ontario Canada. It’s a great tool!!
Nice job folks. Rachel I hope you don't overdue with some of the larger logs. I really wouldn't like you to injure your back at such a young age. Believe me it's no fun when you get older and they tell you time for a back operation. It's never the same after that. So just take care of your back. God Bless you and the family.
For sure, she doesn’t often wrestle something she can’t handle but occasionally will. Definitely have to take care of the back.
That’s what I call getting it done ✅
For sure, thanks Phillip.
Great system. It worked well.
I would say my son’s Ford diesel 16 hp compact tractor would run the Samurai. It runs our saw with no trouble.
Have a great day. 👍🏻👍🏻👋👋
Thanks Noel!
Thx for sharing
You’re welcome appreciate the comment.
good video and job i can't believe how the samurai cut thru that hard dry locust. i would have made post out of most of them. take care, be safe and well.
Thanks! It seems to do better on dryer woods than greener wood.
Just wow🎉
Thanks Helen!
Heath, Rachel you probably have the material laying around , most of it. The push block can cycle and return back to home without touching the handle. Guessing if you purchased materials $30 to $40 super easy. If my auto cycle stops working. I already have the fix for my machine, if it’s outrageous to fix. Great video. Rachel your work ethics are impressive.
Thanks, we should be getting autocycle for it eventually. Hopefully.
Great video
Thanks.
Looks like you got a lot done.😊😊
Yes we did. I honestly thought it would take a little longer but Rachel was pretty spot on.
I have like 8 or 9 hours crushing barley pop cans with a sledge... TMI..lol That bark is good for fire starting, save it! back to the Deli tomorrow, but not yet!

We could crush the cans!

They made you do all the work Rachel!! Everyone else was just pulling levers 🤣
Rachel outworked both the boys!!
She also looks better doing it! She’s definitely not afraid the get into the mix.
Haha! I can’t just stand around and watch work being done when I can help!
Now that’s how ya get some work done in a hurry. Lol. Great job guys and gal. lol. There’s a lot of wood there and you all whizzed right through it. Keep up the great work y’all. Bruce in Wv!!!
Ive never heard of a product like that Samora. The kerf is easily thinner than a chainsaw, soo much faster.
We love the Samurai.
I like that big table.
For sure! Thanks.
Great video guys just love when you can help out with other people and they can help out with you too. Didn’t take long going through the pile excellent job and it’s nice to see the samurai running on a less horsepower tractor and it didn’t even bog it down. I have a question. Does your fan kick on much on your wood splitter? I’m always trying to see it lol.
I wish I could just help others all the time lol. The fan on the All Wood is manual but we rarely ever have to use it unless it’s pretty warm out since the hydraulic tank is so large!
Rachel is definitely marriage material!!!
Definitely!! One of a kind.
I used to have an MS390, it was a good saw. I hired someone to help me cut and the moron put straight gas in it and burned it up. He was supposed to have a degree in forestry. I now use an Echo590 Timberwolf. I like it better than the Stihl, but the Stihl was a good saw.
James, I really like my Echo 50cc saw, more than my Stihl 50 cc saw as a matter of fact. Of course the Echo has been ported.
I have owned every professional brand of saw over the 30+ years I have been cutting. A Jonsered 910 I had in the 80's was my favorite, but Shindaiwa beats everthing else. Echo bought Shidaiwa many years ago and all their saws above 40cc are from them. They are cutting machines. Due to my age, I mostly use 50cc saws now with 16" bars. My Echo 501P is a dream. I also have a 490, which is not the pro model, and it cuts great too. I try to keep 2 saws that interchange parts so if something happens, I can fix the other.

Super forte💪💪💪💪💪👌👌
Thank you!
I would love to have that samurai cutter, i love splitting wood but hate to cut it into rounds. I have that same tractor (kioti ck 3510Se). Boy could i use that behind it!!
The Samurai works great!
Hi Heath ,here is a suggestion for your samurai cut off saw, if you fix a bar to the top of the blue guard then hang a short chain from it at the appropriate distance it may be a n easy fix as it can be set to whatever cutting length that you may require
Thanks John, that is one of the ideas I plan on trying.
Хороший фитнес 👍👍
Thanks!
Rachel is a harvester faster than manual labor
Yes she is!
is it possible to put a foot control for the cutting blade on the samurai cutoff saw instead of your right hand?
It may be with some work. I’m pretty sure the hand control is for safety but a foot control would be nice.
Hit that LIKE button folks.... these woodhounds are flat gettn the job done!
Appreciate it Greg! 👍
“Game changer” is the right comment.
For sure!
Germany has a system that does everything from cutting the tree down stripping the tree cutting the length splitting and loading on a trailer or truck.
That’d be sweet but I bet it costs a lot more than $2k.
Rachel in beast mode lol
Yes she is! Thanks Ryan.
Where did you get your saw blade and what size I need a saw blade but don't know where to get them
I got it at Eastern Farm Machinery in Ontario, Canada. It is a 700mm blade.
Hey Heath and Rachel , y’all have ruined this man bringing all the goodies to his place !! 👍🏻🇺🇸😂
For sure! Now he realizes how much time he could save.
Great video guys. Having good efficient equipment, what a difference. Heath , how much wood got processed do you think. 1.5- 2 full cord? It’s always harder looking at a video. I’m sure he was very happy with your help. You made a great video.Later. Al from Club Dora Outdoors and Firewood.
Close, my estimate was 5 face cords. It's not all stacked yet to know for sure
I think it’ll be right around that. Thanks Al.
Did you ever get that trailer shackle greased? Also go to a service station and try a Pneumatic grease gun (higher pressure)
Not yet Larry, I’ll be working on it next week.
Nice set up! What rpm are you running your Balfor saw at? I run my engine speed at 1800-1900 rpm, yours sounds faster. Also balfor makes an outfeed extension so you wouldn't need the roller stand.
We may have been running a little higher on his tractor, I usually run around the same to try to hit the 360rpm at the Pto.
😊@@hardworkingmanoutdoors
Which video talks about the carbide chain
It doesn’t cut as fast as a regular chain but definitely lasts longer. Great for dirty wood.

WOW the Samurai is quick, but it must cost over $15000. And your All Wood splitter I guest also mush cost over $15000. For that $30000 You can buy a nice processor all in one easy to tow and set up. Ron USCG RET
The samurai was around $2k when I bought it and I believe they’re still under $3k new. My All Wood was around $12k when I bought it but it too has gone up since then. We also run a Dyna processor which is definitely awesome.
Thank you@@hardworkingmanoutdoors
save time by turning the splitter around and line it up with the buzz rig and load straight onto the splitter deck
We had to have it this way do we could hook the splitter back up to the truck
Ok where can you buy the Samurai buzz saw, and how much??
We bought it from Eastern Farm Machinery in Ontario Canada. Check for current price on their website.
NICE ONE, GUYS; AS I SAID BEFORE, IF I LIVED CLOSER, I'D LOVE TO PLAY WITH YOUR TOYS... AND VISIT WITH ALL THE WOODHOUNDS. SEEMS LIKE THERE'S A KAGILLION FOLKS NEAR YOU. THANX FOR THE VIDEO. PEACE...
For sure Gringo, thanks!
Where do you work? That allwood is impressive
In Michigan we work in law enforcement for our real jobs.
You guys should try to figure out how to get the logs to fall on the splitter table somehow.
We were working on a set up with our all Wood log table and a short conveyor.
👍👍
Thanks!
Hoogste👍👌🤝💪
Thanks!!
Seems this situation would be a perfect place for that monstrous firewood table. - Also, we've watched the samurai a lot. It badly needs a robust stop that can drop out of the way. Each cut uses a little time and effort/concentration more than it should to adjusr it to the right place for cutting. And it wouldn't hurt to have a powered converyor to carry those fence posts on thru the samurai. If you're looking for speed, the fewer steps the better. The shorter those steps, the better. The more work the machinery can do speedily, the better.....And of course, many hands make light work. - Hope you can stay out of the mud.
Thanks, and I agree! The table would’ve been great to have here.
Forget the laser pro sizer just use whiskers, they cost about $0.50 and works faster plus no batteries nd no worries about knocking it. Laser is just a wast of money and more of a toy then anything else. Whiskers are faster, cheaper, works in all weather and hey can take hits and just keep working plus the ones I have on my saw have been there for 2 years now and still works
The whiskers are definitely another option!
Do you guys have a link to the whiskers?
Who needs a conveyor?
Right!
Update on the fire loss , 2 band saws, 1 drill press, 2 weed trimmers, 1 leaf blower, 1 table saw and 4 chainsaws and the wife still says I can only replace 1 chainsaw so I agreed....she looked me dead in the eye and said "no you're not getting the 500i" . Moral of the story is be careful what you say to the wife you never know when they're actually listening 😂
Oh man only one and no 500i? Hopefully you find something you love.
Gotta get the 500i ….. it’s a game changer
double detent valve---slap both levers forward and grab another piece and go again. cost about 400 bucks
Yes, hopefully going to get auto cycle soon. Waiting on the valves
Rachel iiii iiiii think 🤔 you should make your own channel on out in the wood 🪵 yard . I know you could have a 100k in a month . Iiii iiii been one ☝️ to hit your channel first to get it going . Your a hard worker and fastest lady on a wood 🪵 splitter. You will get your new kitchen to . Go Rachel for Rachel 😊
She probably will one day.
Turn your splitter around.
We wanted the splits coming off behind the splitter though.
Needed someone to clean the split wood out of the way. Wood piling up all over the guy splitting.
For sure, he buried himself.
I would cut the big end first with the Sameri.
We pretty much fed them in how they were stacked.
It should also have a log cutter or miser as well.
I believe they make one like that.
Where oh where is the elevator dropping the splits into a tote saves even more backache. But you three people have shown how fast doing it with machinery really is. But as I say with totes it would have been a lot easier and faster. Especially if there's forks on the tractor loader.
He doesn’t have any totes and my homebuilt conveyor needs some more work.
@@hardworkingmanoutdoors sorry about that but I was just giving an observation you didn't explain any of that in the video.I'm an older man who was once a mechanic but even if your elevator was okay, just having a trailer would have been a help to him.
Firewood processor residential
Definitely a much lower cost option vs a traditional processor.
I don't understand why the cordwood saw has a "table" on the "drop" side of the blade; operator has to reach for each drop after a cut. Also the cut-off is left "loitering" in the cut zone. Why not let gravity take the drop away, per 100 years of cordwood saw design?
I put that table there so we could hand the logs off to the splitter without them falling on the ground. I use it when I toss the logs up onto my All Wood table. If we weren’t going straight to the splitter I’d just let them fall onto the ground.
@@hardworkingmanoutdoors I wasn't referring to the short portable roller stand, I get that. Rather the saw's integral table which extends to the right of the blade and keeps short logs from falling away after a cut. Without the extended table, cut-offs could drop away either to the ground or to a chute, conveyor, etc., without further handling.
Mostly just curious, from the perspective of having made thousands of cuts without any table at the "drop" side of the blade.
@johne189 ah now I’m tracking. Possibly because the blade pulls through on this one instead of rocking the log through the blade to keep from pinching?
yeah, i read that commenter. fricking jeep. You took a lot off that guys mind. You get the Bronze star for Kindness, Citizenship in the Community, for this day March 7, 2024. Anyway, Dramatics...

I AM a hardworking man, but I clicked on a channel called "hardworking man" to see that hardworking _woman_ in the thumbnail 😂 If she's a regular, I'll subscribe.....
Thanks, guess you better subscribe then. Rachel is legit!
Why you guy making Rachel do so much work? Lol.
Turn the splitter the other direction so the cut logs can be set right on the log lift table
We would have but needed the splits to come off the far end.
lol that machine just for a log splitter. It should have an auto log loader.
That would be nice.
18:17 yeahhhhhhh, no. 🙄
No??
correct. no. as in gzzt.
The splitting skills can use some work. Not very consistent sizes.
A nice mix for home heating wood. I think he did okay.
So.... between the tractor and all the tools, spend 50k to make $300 in firewood? might as well just let it rot, save your back, and buy heating oil.
Well the tractor is used for a lot of other projects and not bought to do firewood so that’s a non issue. The saw was around $2k and the splitter $15k. Since I’ve owned the two I’ve sold a lot more firewood than that and heat my house as well as providing unlimited hot water so I’ll pass on the heating oil.
There something funny go ON , he said he cut 20 face cords off firewood 🪵 with one ☝️ sharp . These firewood been cut about 3 year ago . them he use a box 📦 store wood 🪵 splitter, fun he didn’t KNOW what handle to pull until he see RACHEL use it on U tube . There a lot off lied 🤥 go on Heath channel, there things don’t add up 🆙 SORRY . His this channel about firewood 🪵, or just hit button to make side money or scan with who . Hey 👋 I’m old logger with a lot off Jack of all trade below my leather belt.
These carbide chains don’t cut as fast but they don’t need to be sharpened often. He knew what lever just didn’t know he didn’t have to hold it.
Looks like Rachel is doing most of the work. Lol. Just kidding. It’s a fast operation
She definitely stepped in to keep the samurai fed.
