It's because people like Hillary have to watch what they say for the betterment of BOTH nations/territories. They're involved in a secret world we both know NOTHING about. secret transactions, pipelines, money to be made, "donations", taxbreaks, tax-evasion, these are all things that really get the people of powers' attention.
For Clinton to say exactly what was happening would have made things worse, in delicate matters such as this, if you control the information, and don't let on exactly how much you know, you have the upper hand.

True, Eichenwald wrote this quote, but the Washington Post published an article at 9:03 am on Oct 11 that reconstructs a timeline that allows multiple scenarios for the info to legitimately come to the Trump campaign, including a Tweet from Jon Passintino that included the exact verbiage read by Trump. Eichenwald's speculation is bust. While Trump did pass on uncorroborated info, seems like you guys too... even worse that the Post article came out in the morning. Bad job guys.

Most logical explanation would be that a Russian oligarch read the Sputnik article and then immediately told his American oligarch friend to check it out for himself on wikileaks. The American oligarch, who does not know what quotations look like (when written), also mistook the entire content as Blumenthal's own words.
ummmm. I'm pretty sure that campaigns have standard searches for daily news. It would not be too far fetched for them to have found it that way. @cenkuygur said himself that there was link to the article on another site. That's enough to get it into Google let alone the news services. This does not indicate a Russian plot.

All subject to the same prejudices, biases, opinions, inferences, interpretations, incorrect summations, conclusions, that all human beings are subject to no matter what side they're on in any issue.
There is ZERO SUGGESTION in the article, let alone evidence, that ANY WikiLeaks email was doctored, because It wasn’t. It was just Sputnik misreporting the email. Once Sputnik realized that its article misattributed the text to Blumenthal, it took it down. It’s not hard to imagine how a rushed, careless Sputnik staffer could glance at that email and fail to realize that Blumenthal was forwarding Eichenwald’s article rather than writing it himself.

See the piece where Jordan somebody is riding in his car reporting on the "hot news"; that HRC has a public and private face (which is quite innocent if you've read Doris Kearns Goodwin's book on Lincoln, particularly where Seward (whom Jordan doesn't even know was his Secretary of State, also died from assassination attack the same night Lincoln was killed, or that--as every schoolchild knows--was responsible for the Alaska purchase) and Lincoln used different approaches--both public and private but NOT "two faced", to end slavery.
