- In Today’s video I will be using my JDiction epoxy resin with bird shaped frames printed on my AnkerMake M5 3D printer to create a super cute bird mobile.

I’m a bird lover too. I really liked the idea of the project. Using the flower pot as a ring mold was a brilliant idea.

The birds are lovely, and I LOVE the mobile! The larks-head knot you used with the fishing line is perfect! So much easier than tying knots all over the place!

I’ve seen people run a UV resin bead along the inside edge of the frame to create a seal before pouring. I haven’t tried it but, it did seem to work. Your second method worked really well. I hope your pup is letting you get some rest.😅 They’re adorable.

Louise, Daniel Cooper has a video where he adds a drop of clear Elmer's glue to his resin to thicken it. I actually tried it today. I'm making a music box and I wanted the music notes suspended in my jdiction high gloss resin. Guess what? 2 tiny drops in 6oz of resin made it thick! It worked great. And it seems to be curing great. I'll find out tomorrow morning. 😊

I have two Sovol 3d printers. I love them. To be fair, i did feel like there was a steep learning curve to 3d printing, but it is so super cool to be able to create designs, or just find already prepared stl files and print them

Louise, wonderful project, thank you for sharing. I did not think resin could go outside, it would fade in the sun but then if it is only for me, I coud touch it up next spring. Thank you again.
Hi, yes it can go outside. Resin pigments are quite good in the sun. Alcohol ink would be a definite no no though. We never get any sun anyway 😂 I will see how it goes.

Great project! So many possibilities! A thought... For even pressure placing on the backing at the beginning, could you use a heavy ish roller to press the pieces down before adding resin?
I would definitely use my rolling pin! It's big and heavy.

@@LouiseSingletonCreations I’m not white ready to buy yet, I’ve gotta pay off some debts first,….no starting new ventures on borrowed dimes,…. But I’m hoping within the next 6 months I will be in a position to bring one home. What else have you done with it so far?
