And no instruments were hurt during the video.. The sound coming out of their mouths only, is beyond comprehension. No drums, no harmonica. What an amazing performance! And Tim Foust has a basement down there, where only he can go.. Thank you guys, this was fun as always 👍😊
BEST reaction video on here!!!!! No stopping for stupid comments, let the song play and reacted over the song as it played..THEN talked about it after the song ended!! AWESOME! Subscribed!
Home Free pays homage to The Big Lebowski in their music video This is How We Roll... bringing the characters back to life. It is EXCELLENT. A MUST SEE.
My mom's side of the family is from down in the holler, so when "O Brother Where Art Thou?" came out, we could all sing along with all/most of the soundtrack. A good rendition of this song is always worth listening to, and Home Free is going to do it better than most.
I'm glad you noticed the really deep bass from Tim in the background just after his solo. It's just so deep, it's awesome and Austin and his twang and those r's at the end of words...lovely. great reaction 😀
Adam is definitely not hiding a harmonica. Seeing this song live is something you can't forget. They use a looper for a large part of the background music. However, all of Adam Rupp's stuff is done live on the stage.
Did you notice Austin's (the lead singer) little half-yodel on the end of some phrases? That, plus the hard pronunciation of the final "r"s at times, gave the performance a very country sound...
Home Free is: Earlier Years Chris Rupp (usually wearing a Cowboy Hat & always smiling) and Adam Rupp, the Beatboxer founded the Group. Chris went Solo in 2016 with which he is doing Very Well! Adam Chance who goes by Chance was brought in to replace Chris! Chance is the Baritone that has a 4 Octave Range. He can replace Tim, the Group's Bassist when needed as Chance was the Bassist in his previous Group before Home Free. Back to Adam Rupp, he's the incredibly talented Beatboxer and can sing well too! His Beatboxing is above and beyond any other Beatboxer that I have seen! He's also won several Beatboxing Championships to boot!😁😁 Now to Tim, the Group's Bassist has a 5 Octave Range so he can Lead the Group as a Bassist or a Tenor or something in between! He's Phenomenal and he's also taught some other Bassists from other Acapella Group's to be able to do certain things that allow them to get Lower and hit Notes they weren't able to before now. The Bearded Singer is the Group's Tenor and he is Awesome! Such a Creamy Tone and at times his Range is incredible too! To end the Group's Members is Austin the Group's High Tenor. This man is unbelievable! He can hit the highest of the highest of notes and he still can do Low Notes almost Baritone standards! Now hopefully you can get caught up with the Group's Members!
If you love Coen brothers movies, you’ve probably seen The Big Lebowski. Home Free does a great rendition of a song called This Is How We Roll to the movie. It’s so good. I love this rendition but also love the movie version although that’s not George Clooney singing it. Tim Foust, the bass, has a 5 octave range and can go super low and high as well. Three of the boys are from the south so the lead does have a legit twang - he’s from Georgia. The beatboxer is phenomenal- no harmonica! They are “a cappella” so no instruments. They have so many songs. Try Helplessly Hoping and This Is How We Roll. Good reaction.
No he isn't hiding anything just his voice. You should look up a video where they do it live stage. Check out This Is How We Roll by them, you will probably like it.
I bet the movie version wouldn't have come about without Bob Dylan re-introducing the song on his debut album in 1962. That's the one I thought of when I saw the movie.
You might be surprised if you dug into some of the country artists. Roy Clark, Chet Adkins, Glenn Campbell and Charlie Daniels. Wonderful talents that by and large were self taught and greatly revered by artist that some think are great because they haven't been exposed to old, true country.
@@curlyque2717 country music was all my mom listened to on the radio when I was growing up. So when I got my first transister radio....yes I am that old I could choose what unwanted to listen to. The era of the Beatles etc. Got feed a lot of Patsy Cline, Roy Atkins, Johnny Cash etc. The closest I came to liking it as an adult was John Denver and CCR. But I love Home Free. So if the do a cover of a country song from the last 30 years....chances are I never heard it from a country artist.
@@brendagrothier967 I did too. My dad loved country, we are probably about the same age. I listened to WOWO in Ft Wayne, Indiana at night because I thought it was cool I could pick it up that far. But the country artists have been highly under rated maybe for said reason, we all had to listen to it. But I loved Charlie Daniel's and others. And I love music in general and can respect the talent of Roy Clark playing Melaguania (?spelling) and much more. I never closed my ears to it because of my past experiences with it. Some of the most talented and least appreciated musicians were in country music. And I have been enjoying watching people's reactions to it that have never heard it, and I too am a Home Fry. They are amazing.
I have no idea, but I like to think that the singer takes his hat off during "Just a stranger" as a callback to Clooney doing something similar in the film :)
By the way, "Man of Constant Sorrow" was recorded by the Stanley Brothers (bluegrass legends), Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, and many many others, long before the movie. The first recording was in 1928, by Emry Arthur: ua-cam.com/video/U91IBcfl3Ic/v-deo.html
No hidden harmonica....LOLOL....Adam Rupp is one incredible Beat Boxer 🙃‼️🙃. They do just about any genre of music ‼️ & so Good 💖🙃‼️. Try “WHEN A MAN LOVES A WOMAN”, “END OF THE ROAD”..A really great cover !
You need to look at this 11 year old singer on the Voice Kid's Germany... as she sings Jessie J.'s "Flashlight" in two languages at the same time(English and ASL)....Jessie J - Flashlight (Fia) | Blind Auditions | The Voice Kids 2023

I love this version of this song, but my favorite version is and will always be Peter, Paul and Mary's 1962 version titled "Sorrow". "Sorrow" is one of the first folk songs I learned when I first started playing guitar in 1963.
love the both of you amd ginger.. you are looking amazing again! :D dang.. i love that song! oh brother where art thou is my all time favoritte movie! thing is.. i would love to see you reacting to finsterforst the song " mach dich frei", seeing the video tells you what the lyrics are all about, and they incooperate so many things in black metal. chanting cleans growles accordion, riffs etc. amazing band, sadly so underresprentadet at the internet :) edit : btw i realy realy appretiate your honesty!
Check out Home Free with Pentatonics Ari Kaplan doing Ring of Fire as well as Peter Hollens with Tim Foust of Home Free doing Misty Mountains, You won't be disappointed.
Dan Burnett is not the writer of this song. He published it, but was not the creator. He was the first person to put it to paper & had it published. It was an old, old American Folk Song at that time. He learned it the same way many musicians had for ages before him - listening and reproducing (playing) what he had heard. Very few people could read & write back then, much less read and/or write music. The originator of this song is unknown and will never be known. Burnett was just the first to publish it.
Love your reactions and HomeFree. Tim sure has a low voice but I still think that Geoff Castellucci has a much deeper and smoother voice. Both are fantastic basses and you are fun at reactions!!!
Now that y’all have gone down the HF rabbit hole, listen to them doing Mayday to be enlightened as to the unbelievable range of each member. Y’all WILL thank me later !
Did you know that Oh Brother Where Art Thou was loosely based on Homer's epic Greek poem The Odyssey and the characters refer back to that poem ? For example, John Goodman a one-eyed mugger and Ku Klux Klan member who masquerades as a Bible salesman. He corresponds to the cyclops Polyphemus in the Odyssey. Also in the film are the Sirens , and a a blind radio station manager. He corresponds to Homer.

Good one guys.
I'm a fan of "the Dude" 😋😋
A fairly common complaint about this song by reactors is, 'Its too short!' Which is kind of still a complement.
Oh Ginger, you need to hear just how low Tim Foust can go! Try the song "Misty Mountain" with Peter Hollens and Tim!
