In my opinion, Home Free is the best--period. It's easy to forget they are completely acapella and make all "instrumental" sounds themselves. In this song they are making a distinctly southern (country blues/bluegrass) presentation--it definitely fits the lyrics of the song. Chance doing the jaw harp sound really sets the stage for this song's story, which Austin's twang fits phenomenally. Tim's bass line completely grounds the harmonies and Adam's voice percussion simply cannot be beat. This performance highlights a lot of Home Free's strengths although they also handle ANY other genre just as amazingly❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️
Wasnt sure if u noticed but the jawharp sound (the twangy sound that started in beginning and went theu whole song) was dine by adam chance (the baritone) who was standing in back next to adam (the beatboxer)
7:09 another song to check out the “nomonica” is “Working for a Living”. I figure Adam’s brother Chris made Adam eat a drum kit when he was little so he could start a music group with him.
This is one of the most popular Home Free songs. It was the first song I ever heard from Home Free & I was instantly hooked. It really showcases the talent of these 5 men (their tight harmonies, Tim Foust's bass & Adam Rupp's incredible beatboxing). They are my favorite a cappella group. This song is very old & is done in the bluegrass country style. It was used in the movie "Oh Brother Where Art Thou" starring George Clooney.
Lulu, you're talking about Austin Brown, with the luscious hair. 😂 I'll help you with their names. Austin Brown is the high tenor. Rob Lunquist is the lead tenor. Adam Chance (or just Chance) is the baritone/bass Tim Foust is the deep bass. Adam Rupp is the beat boxer.
Probably Austin is who the luscious-haired guy is, the main singer here. Although Adam the beatboxer has grown his hair out lately in recent videos and has a nice mane too. You can see it in their cover of Delta Dawn and the recent video Playing with Fire which was written by Austin.
Austin, with the luscious red hair, has been writing some amazing originals for the band to sing. Ever since learning new production skills during the year they were separated by Covid, they've just been sky-rocketing with originals. Love that you are 3 generations sharing Home Free's amazing talents! Have you done "When a Man Loves a Woman"? Austin carries that one to the heights.
This was filmed in Alabama. Yes it was raining during filming. Really gives it that authentic feel doesn't it? The center singer in this video is Austin Brown, and yes, his hair is luscious, like you said.
Chance is doing the jaw harp sound and so of Adam drumming must be on a looper because you can see him doing it in the end Adam of course doing his nomomica. He has a video out about how he does the nomonica.
The song was originally published in 1913 and later covered by Bob Dylan and Joan Baez among others. No matter what they sing, they'll always sound a little 'country' because 3 of them are from southern U.S. states (Austin - south Georgia; Tim - southeast Texas; Chance - Alabama; both Rob & Adam are from Minnesota). In their videos of "Working for a Living" and "Ain't Going Down" Adam plays lots of no-monica!
The one on the left is Rob Lundquist, tenor, the center is Austin Brown, high tenor and on the right Tim Foust, bass to tenor (5 octaves). In the back, on the left Adam Chance (known as Chance) baritone, but also can sing bass to tenor(4 octaves) and of course, on the left Adam Rupp, beatboxer extraordinaire. Chance sings bass when Tim leads.
You ladies are fun! Austin Brown's hair is quite, uhm, noteworthy. 😂 Y'all will need to watch some of HF's more recent videos where Austin doesn't have it on a bun or ponytail; the hair is halfway down his back and curly.
I remember yours and Ace's reaction Kathy, but you guys were unaware of the "nomonica" then. I am enjoying you ladies immensely. Puts a smile on my face every time. Thanks! 🤣🍟
You have just opened the world of Home Free. I love all their stuff but im really fond of Helplessly Hoping. Its as good as it gets. You are now officially with the millions of others called Home Fries.
I don't know if "prefer" is the right word for me, I'm not a percussion junky like my sister so I don't love any of them, but I think the old one showcases his abilities more readily. The talent to use the loop stations like he does is undeniable, but his drums, etc., are showcased more in the red shirt one.
Home Free is so talented. Adam is crazy good. Tim (bass) has a 5 octave range so he can sing super low and then sing high with the tenors. All are immensely talented. Great reaction ladies!😄🤩
I love the late, great Dr. Ralph Stanley ( R.I.P. ) and his Clinch Mountain Boys......but this may be just as exciting as the original.......and ALL the female reactors SWOON at Tim's Basso Profundo vocals !
My favorite vocal group. You must listen to their incredible harmonies on Take Me Home country Roads, The Driver (a tribute to the common worker), the spectacular arrangement of the Christmas song Do You Hear what I Hear, and the gorgeous How Great Thou Art in which they all sing (no beatboxing)
Another nomonica song would be "Working for a living" or their cover of Ain't going down till the sun comes up" the second song is on their Facebook page
Chance did the Jew's Harp sound at the beginning and end. The technique comes from Mongolian throat singing. Chance said it hurt his throat to do it...
ADAM RUPP IS THE BEATBOXER. CHECK OUT HIS SOLO. ALSO CHECK OUT ROB AND AUSTIN. TWO COUNTRY BOYS SINGING OPERA. TIM FOUST HAS AN AMAZING SOLO ALBUM CALLED PIECES OF ME
Make sure to chk. Out their xmas music...also 7 bridges road... 2 adam s in group, Roupp the beat boxer, Chane the baritone, Tim the Bass, Rob the glasses Tenor and Austin the Red headed georgis boy tenor, Chris Rouppe is some older videos with cowboy hat......now you have the skinny ha.....
Love you guys I’d like to say this in a friendly way if I can the mic that you guys speak to us with all three of you sounds like it’s in a paper box with a Gen speaker. Sometimes it’s kind a hard to catch everything.

I love that all 3 generations love Home Free. I see this at their concerts too. These guys attract such a diverse audience.

The song is immortal, but this version hits us as a Rock. All can see it all, bring it home. Great reactions, stay safe.

You might have heard this song on the movie "Oh Brother Where Art Thou" .
She's right! Austin Brown's hair is lucious. LOL!! Girl ain't blind.
Lulu, you're talking about Austin Brown, with the luscious hair. 😂

I'm seeing HF live tonight in Ky!! So excited!!
Have fun!

Home free actually recorded a song with "Alabama" really awesome vocals
Really enjoying your reactions. It is very fun and terrific to hear the 3 generations. Well done as were prior ones. Will enjoy your future ones. Thx

You gals are awesome. I really enjoyed this.

Check out their new Sea Shanty. Skull and Bones. The live version and The lyric version. Plus they're live version.
I love their performance of When A Man Loves A Woman ; and Austin Brown(untrained) and Rob Lundquist(classically trained) sing Nessum Dorma.
This is their most popular song. These boys are amazing and so talented.❤️❤️❤️
You have just opened the world of Home Free. I love all their stuff but im really fond of Helplessly Hoping. Its as good as it gets. You are now officially with the millions of others called Home Fries.
This is so very awesome! Home Free are the best. Love this song and love them! Love your reactions!
Thank you
For more of Adam Rupp, check out his "Drum Solo". Personally, I prefer his earlier version vs his more recent one.

If you liked the harmonica,, listen to Ain't going down till the sun comes up. A Garth Brooks cover. They all get to lead in this one.

Great old Bluegrass tune! Good job by Homefree!
Their Sea Shanty Medley is another one of their good songs. They made the video from their homes during the pandemic almost like a Zoom Call.
Great job and geoff castelluchi also does this cover in deep bass try it too
This old vets favorite is go rest high on that mountain by them.
Watching three heads bobbing to the music... but in all different times... is very strange. Glad you enjoyed Adam and the 'no-monica!!!'
I love the late, great Dr. Ralph Stanley ( R.I.P. ) and his Clinch Mountain Boys......but this may be just as exciting as the original.......and ALL the female reactors SWOON at Tim's Basso Profundo vocals !

If you haven't watched "Oh Brother Where Art Thou", I think you've got a treat in store.
Chance did the Jew's Harp sound at the beginning and end. The technique comes from Mongolian throat singing. Chance said it hurt his throat to do it...

It wasn't by themselves but cool video anyway. Maybe they played the drum track, A Cappella, in the studio? I don't know.
You should check out their version of, "When a man loves a woman."
Do more home free reactions please so many different songs where Rob, Tim and Chance get brought to the front more.
You should go to their face book page and listen to their cover of Ain't Going Home Till The Sun Comes Up. Great reaction ladies

Hello from Latvia 🇱🇻
Ya'll got to let LuLu react before she bursts. Ha, enjoyed your reactions, as always.
Thank you!
If you want to hear nomonica you need to listen to "Ain't Going Down"
React to Brandon Lake - Tear off the roof. Please, it’s a powerful Christian music. Please react to it 🙏🏼🔥
Love you guys I’d like to say this in a friendly way if I can the mic that you guys speak to us with all three of you sounds like it’s in a paper box with a Gen speaker. Sometimes it’s kind a hard to catch everything.

For some no-monica action check out Ain't Going Down Til the Sun Comes Up. Your minds will explode.
Added to the list.
lulu can barely stay in her chair she's so into it!
You should look into their newer & less reacted to videos...try Finally Free a cover that is awesome - a Niall Moran cover and Chance is featured.
How they get that quality of audio from that kinda microphone is beyond me
You need to listen to their song "the Butt's Medley ". It's hilarious!!!
Added it to the list.
Excellent reaction do Ring of Fire and Folsom Prison Blues both Johnny Cash covers will not disappoint
Added them to our list.
Młoda dopiero po minucie złapała rytm😂😂😂
Oh my god it's the soggy bottom boys......used in the movie ...
For the Dominica watch working for a living
I am sure All Ladies have the hots for at lease one of these en. Which is your ladies heart throbs?
I can sure see the resemblance in y'all. Is Granny married?
Lulu, there's no need to yell when the mike is right in front of you.
please listen to voiceplay another acappela band ithink you going to like it
Nice reaction, but you really need to attend to how you are recording your voices. It's all so distorted and almost unintelligible at times.
No instruments
Soggy bottom boys did the song first, I think.
audeo too loud
You guys need to work on your microphone. It doesn't good.
We're working on it.
@KathyandLulu ladies might I suggest Nightwish "Ghost Love Score" or Epica "Sancta Terra" featuring the lead vocalist from Nightwish.
