Hey Silverpicker that's a thorough introductory run through of 1976 US Quarter. They are for a good friend of mine like the 1973 Canadian Quarter is for me. Both are beautiful coins.
The very large price difference is due to a couple of things, those are first and formost the large did has to due with the bidders and ultimately the end price tag. With that you then also have an equal contributor being the name on the graded coin and it's previous owner who's part/roll in the Numismatic community and his renown. Thanks for the great clips and keep them coming.
That would conceivably be due to greater access the collectors who recognize higher quality images. They may be sharper due to being struck with a die that has absolutely no wear on it
Hi, that was a good lesson you gave us about the 1976 bicentennial Quarters and l believe the MS69 S is worth more then the Denver MS69 it's Because the San Francisco Quarters were made of Silver.
I have a question for everyone... What's Up With The 2021 Crossing The Delaware Quarter? I have quite a few that I've got over time but each and everyone look like they came str8 from the Mint?
The most expensive bicentennial quarter that he is showing in this Video is MS69 "Bicentennial business strike" that came from the San Francisco Mint so far they only found "3" Coins like this out of 5 Million..The Philadelphia and the Denver Mint they produced 1.6 billion bicentennial quarter's..A Rare 1976-D bicentennial quarter with a Strong Clash Die they are going for $1,246 dollars..Most of the bicentennial quarters out there are very common maybe $8 to $10 dollars with the "S" Mark they are 40% Silver $24 to $144 dollars.. maybe if you have an error coin or a double die you would have to look that up to see the value..💰👀💰
I have a quarter that sticks to a magnet took it to a coin collector and told me that was a good quarter send it to get checked out too those large collectors
If you send that quarter out to get graded I believe that cost about $30 dollars and it takes 2 to 3 weeks..A quarter's before 1965 was almost 100% silver..A steel magnetic coin unfortunately is very common and not very affordable in most cases..Coins from England and Canada are made of steel they would be magnetic in the United States there is no coins that is magnetic maybe the 1943 steel penny that's it..!!
@@jrRrr-tj5wk also, in the 50s, it was a big high school project to make electromagnetic coins. I thought I struck litteral gold with a 50s penny that was magnetic. And I could have made 10x it's face value....
I have found so many 1976 bicentennial quarters while metal detecting that it’s just unbelievable. I always keep them to the side lol I think one of the reasons certain coins go for amounts of money that is unbelievable to comprehend is because of who’s coin collection it came from. there are some collectors who have sort of a star status in the world of coin collecting and other collectors for whatever reason just have to have one of their coins.
How did you start metal collecting. I want to get into the hobby but I don’t know where to start. Every beginners guide throws so much at me I get confused.
This is true. When something has belonged to a famous person, it raises the value. I have been interested in the life of Marilyn Monroe for most of my life. A few years ago, I was browsing a used book store. I was drawn to a certain book on the $1.00 table. It was an older psychology book, an early self-help sort. I recognized the title as one of the titles of books that Marily loved, she read over & over, making notes in the margins. Yep, it had belonged to Marilyn Monroe. When Marilyn was reading, she would twirl her fingers in her hair. As I looked through the book, I saw several strands of hair between the pages. I bought the book. When DNA testing became available, I had some of the hairs with the follicles still attached, tested. I got ahold of a DNA profile of Marilyn & it was an identical match. The book had been her personal property, the hairs were from her. It was expensive to have this done, it was so worth it! The book, notes in the margins, hairs with follicles, are worth much more than the $1. I paid.
@@canadiangoose3598 getting into it is so fun. Biggest tip is to get a decent detector. Not expensive, decent. The garett ace 250 was my first machine and it was great! Not that expensive but not cheap enough to make it a turn off. A pinpointer is a must.
do you know if there is any website that gives a fairly comprehensive list of coins worth more than face value? I've tried looking, but I've been unsuccessful in finding any good sites. I started making a hand written list of coins to look for but it ended up turning into a mess because I was trying to list the dates in order and... well it's hard to explain. I just found your channel earlier and subscribed😆 it'd be awesome if you are aware of any helpful sites..(& by helpful I mean.. ones that include many of the varieties etc, that'd help me make a legible list)
my grandfather passed away from covid last year (on my bday of all days). he'd saved all his change since before I was born, so needless to say there was a TON! his kids ended up cashing all of the coins in at the bank and splitting the cash between all the grandkids. when I found out that's what had been done, I couldn't help but wish they'd kept my portion in coins! I've been interested in error coins and such for years now, but I've failed to continuously be on the lookout for them just because I've never been able to find a decent info source with a comprehensive list. I always end up giving up after awhile bc every site on the subject seems to just mention coins so sporadically. I've also got like 10 or so rolls of old pennies that my bf got from his great uncle. I've been wanting to open em up and go thru em, but want to know which dates & or varieties to be on the look out for.
Biding war between a few collectors from a know collection…you know people get crazy in an auction! Have seen $150 fruit jars sell for $950 And then .back too $200 for a better example(imho) but collection, and promoting helps
I've got one & was told the error on it hasn't even been documented. So my question is can I possibly own a Bicentennial Quarter with an error that hasn't been known, as of today?
cool content brother!! im an oddity hunter and pull these out often. i found two in lower mint state so far and first time i checked out your channel and you got a sub here. i like supporting my fellow enthusiasts
Yes, you are correct, which was something I learned from a coin collecting channel here on UA-cam. Soon after I found a silver quarter of that vintage, when getting change at the laundromat. I always check my quarters each week at the laundromat.
Every financial goal requires patience, dedication and consistent spirit knowing that investment is currently the most lucrative business in the world, both NFT, real estate and Crypto shares are really positively changing people's lives.
Getting rich off crypto is much tougher than it seems. I keep losing money while trading with these youtub videos, and finding a trustworthy professional trader to help out with these trades also appears to be nearly impossible. This is extremely annoying
In this aspect, individuals who lack specific trading experience can actually benefit from primary traders' expertise without having to invest a lot of time and effort in developing a successful trading strategy
Be careful for coin dealers , coins my dad had that were already graded , the coin dealer I was going to said it wasn’t an error coin but it ended up not really making any difference . There were only 2 people who knew I inherited rare valuable coins and they both stole almost all of them from me and snuck around and pawned them and sold them on the down low only getting Pennie’s for what they were worth . If they would have let me have them and sale them at an auction , I’m sure my generosity would have reaped them way more . Very sad that a super awesome time in my life turned ugly and cruel
I found a bisentenial quarter D , filled mint mark! Also same quarter has on reverse, the drum rim has huge error( melted) look can be seen well with naked eye! Fairly good shape also.
I have a 1955 Silver quarter. No mint mark. The leaf touches the A on America. Lots of errors, big die break all around. Wing on all messed up. Thoughts ?
Great information problem is sending into PCGS you must join their company as a member which costs quite a bit and the matching of your coin hardly ever brings home a grade you think it will . Ive sent in several and a few look 3 grades higher and no recourse to get it 3 higher . They will however regrade but under no circumstances will they go higher than one grade so if you get an MS 65 an MS 66 is best it can go up even tho you have compared to their photos a 67 or better . Its frustrating and very expensive since the new inflation price increases across the board so be cautious before sending in . Ive been doing this 8 years so im not a newbie but still have much to learn . Great video tho 👍💯❤️
Isn't there always "a catch"? It can't be simple and straight forward, our fellow humans, are always making us jump through hoops, for the simplest of things. They have to turn everything into profits, sometimes justified, most of the time, unnecessary. Just greedy traps. Everything is a deviant game or sham, it seems.
In the graphic you showed with the coin grades, the 64 looked the best, I don't know what whoever graded those was smoking. The shiniest, silverest coin of the bunch, with the sharpest details. The others looked like someone went at them with a blow torch just enough to oxidize them to varying degrees.
I've got a 1776-1976 D coin that looks like it was never even touched by bare hands and the E in quarter on the back is half gone. should I go get it graded or?
I think the difference between the $19k quarter and the $6k quarter has to do, in part, with the fluctuating coin collecting market in the background; but more so with the sentiments of the bidding crowd at the auction (a common interest may become a resonant buzz within the crowd, and excitement builds over a coin - and they know there’ll be a fight for the piece - the bid wars between two or more buyers that insist on having the coin) who drive up the price for the winning bid in the process. Sellers can be this lucky sometimes! The seller of the coin might also be a factor that drives up the interest.
I have read where the Bicentennial 1976 D quarter maybe worth Big $$ if the D mint mark is filled in, I looked through my coins and found 3 coins where the D mint mark is completely filled in, should I have them graded.

Because it came from a well known high end collector fuller that’s why it sold at such a premium. Good video 👍
Exactly 😐
But 3x more?? Just for that?
Bc it was sold at an auction and more than one person wanted it, the price got bid up.
I have a question for everyone... What's Up With The 2021 Crossing The Delaware Quarter? I have quite a few that I've got over time but each and everyone look like they came str8 from the Mint?
I have over a dollar in this but i just like the way they look I also been looking for the 50 cent piece that also came from this time
I have a ton of Kennedy halves. Guess what, they are mostly worth fifty cents.
Good Afternoon My Good Bro & Sis Silver PIcker
Thank You My Good Bro & Sis Silver PIcker
And I could have made 10x it's face value....
i have an error coin. the back side is upside down. is that worth anything
I have found so many 1976 bicentennial quarters while metal detecting that it’s just unbelievable. I always keep them to the side lol
I think one of the reasons certain coins go for amounts of money that is unbelievable to comprehend is because of who’s coin collection it came from. there are some collectors who have sort of a star status in the world of coin collecting and other collectors for whatever reason just have to have one of their coins.
@@FreeSpirit47 normally don’t read long reply’s but this was very cool. I’m happy to hear you got something you love for a mere dollar
@@logansmith4690 Thank you.
Can you please advise on which microscope to buy and books to get me started?
do you know if there is any website that gives a fairly comprehensive list of coins worth more than face value?
I've tried looking, but I've been unsuccessful in finding any good sites.
I started making a hand written list of coins to look for but it ended up turning into a mess because I was trying to list the dates in order and... well it's hard to explain.
I just found your channel earlier and subscribed😆 it'd be awesome if you are aware of any helpful sites..(& by helpful I mean.. ones that include many of the varieties etc, that'd help me make a legible list)
PCGS app is extremely helpful, especially for new collectors. 😊
I started collecting but where do I get them graded or looked at ???
In 1976 , half your change was bicentennial quarters , like when State quarters rolled out
My friend!? Question? Say I want to sell some well detailed coins to a coin shop do they have to be graded first??
I work in vending and I have so many of these I just love the design and since most are clad there easy to find
THAT WOULD BE THE WAY TO TELL WHAT AND WHAT IS NOT HARD TO FIND
I have the 1976 quarter coin. Ready to part with my precious collection.
my grandfather passed away from covid last year (on my bday of all days). he'd saved all his change since before I was born, so needless to say there was a TON!
his kids ended up cashing all of the coins in at the bank and splitting the cash between all the grandkids. when I found out that's what had been done, I couldn't help but wish they'd kept my portion in coins!
That is so sad that is why People still do corn roll hunting
?
I wonder how many 90% silver coins he had.
There are coin collecting magazines and other publications available. Also websites.
You tube is a great place for info.
I have a feeling the Michael Fuller connection made the extra difference in price, extra attention from a top collector
But that much?!
Biding war between a few collectors from a know collection…you know people get crazy in an auction! Have seen $150 fruit jars sell for $950
And then .back too $200 for a better example(imho) but collection, and promoting helps
I've got one & was told the error on it hasn't even been documented. So my question is can I possibly own a Bicentennial Quarter with an error that hasn't been known, as of today?
I have the drumboy with the stick on the drum in his right hand
What is the error?
cool content brother!! im an oddity hunter and pull these out often. i found two in lower mint state so far and first time i checked out your channel and you got a sub here. i like supporting my fellow enthusiasts
If memory serves me right 1964 was the last year that hard coins were made of real silver
Yes, you are correct, which was something I learned from a coin collecting channel here on UA-cam. Soon after I found a silver quarter of that vintage, when getting change at the laundromat. I always check my quarters each week at the laundromat.
In 90%silver content. Up to 69..Kennedy half dollars were 35 or 45 % silver. Some S minted halts in mint sets were same percentage
Thanks for the information. According to what I’ve seen in a coin collector’s book, the average bicentennial quarter is worth between 4-8 bucks.
Not true. Most are worth a quarter.
I have about a hundred of them. I'll sell you all of them for 3 bucks apiece. You save 100 dollars.
Mint state and rarity is where the big bucks are.
Wait till you find a IKE 1776-1976
With the Bold letters on the Reverse.
Largest silver dollar there is. I got one.
Can't stick around til the end. You sir make it hard too.
Go to setting and play 2x lol I do
How would you pack your coins to ship for grading?
I’m gonna do a video on it soon!

I'm thinking of investing in the crypto market but taking my time to figure out how the whole thing works.
Investing in crypto is very volatile and risky which is why most successful investors trade with professional brokers
The real risk in the Crypto market is the risk of not investing, not the risk of short term price volatility.
I have been investing in crypto but have had a bumpy ride. How can I reach your broker? I will appreciate any tip or pointers
Nothing beats engaging an expert in any trade, selfishness and greed has deterred many from doing this and they ended up running a huge loss
I found a couple drummer boy bicentennial quarters with no mint mark so are those worth anything?

These coins are the reason I started collecting as a younster.
That 19,200 auction was probably a runaway auction where two people were updating each other.
Had to be from someone really well known as a collector because his name was on a ton of pop top coins.
I have a 1976 s silver quarter ms 69 graded quarter that has a DDR. Do you know how much that can draw?
Be careful for coin dealers , coins my dad had that were already graded , the coin dealer I was going to said it wasn’t an error coin but it ended up not really making any difference . There were only 2 people who knew I inherited rare valuable coins and they both stole almost all of them from me and snuck around and pawned them and sold them on the down low only getting Pennie’s for what they were worth . If they would have let me have them and sale them at an auction , I’m sure my generosity would have reaped them way more . Very sad that a super awesome time in my life turned ugly and cruel
I so agree! Member of my family though marriage stole the Coins from house instead waiting for me to him his share!!
I found a bisentenial quarter D , filled mint mark! Also same quarter has on reverse, the drum rim has huge error( melted) look can be seen well with naked eye! Fairly good shape also.
I work in the vending industry and I probably see a hundred or so bicentennial quarters every week. I have yet to find a San Francisco mint.
Yep, I've heard that. I actually made a TikTok about it a few months ago!
I think they are all found in prof sets.
I have a 1776-1976 quarter no mint mark.DDO and DDR and made of what looks like the color of platinum no shine. What can you tell me about it
❤ Thank You!! You are Awesome! Learn so much from your info 😊..Christy from WA. State
I have a 1955 Silver quarter.
Just
greedy traps.
Oh wow I can't believe a ms68 can be found in the wild.. you are the best man!
I've got a 1776-1976 D coin that looks like it was never even touched by bare hands and the E in quarter on the back is half gone. should I go get it graded or?
Definitely liking this video , the Shiny will get dumped out on the pool table to sort
I just started coin collecting a few months ago and a few days ago just got a few of my oldest and your channel really helps me and I’m sure others
I’m bad at writing so roast away lol
I have a 2002 -P Louisiana state quarter that has the
Loui. Missing from the back. siana is the mark on the coin.
What if you have 1 of those quarters that has a planchet error around the top of Washington head ?
I have read where the Bicentennial 1976 D quarter maybe worth Big $$ if the D mint mark is filled in, I looked through my coins and found 3 coins where the D mint mark is completely filled in, should I have them graded.
thank you for sharing this video and good luck my friend 👍👍👍👍😉
I want to know how do you get your coins graded , and get checked for error-free
