Hey Joe, can someone purchase the app subscription at the Black Friday rate and then activate it at a later time (i.e. just after Christmas). This is an ideal Christmas present idea for me (from my wife) but obviously don't want to start / access it until she's given it to me as an actual Christmas present... if you get what I mean!
I used the try link, both from my phone and from the computer and the button to "try for 7 days" at the end seems to be bugged and doesn't do anything. Phone is an iPhone, and created an account with apple id. Computer is a macbook using firefox browser

If you were a long term viewer you’d know that there’s been many cheeky references to gear usage lol
I might be overthinking it, but this is a lean bulk, right? So you’re basically in a 150 calorie surplus for your bulk and instead of eating on a 150 calorie surplus every day, you’re just in a total of a 1000 calorie surplus during the weekend. Then you go back down to maintenance during the weekdays. You’ll minimize fat gain and use up all that extra stored energy you consumed during the weekend without really being in a deficit. Absolutely genius. I hope I’m right. Joe Delaney, is indeed a hero.

My macro split is very similar to this. 3300kcal, minimum 158g protein. Focusing more on carbs and fats. Training feels better than ever, gaining ~1kg per month. Ideal 😄 P.S. Congrats on the wedding man! 🎉

I love the cheap supermarket cereals for carb snacks. Bran flakes is aiding in the fibre realm a lot right now, along with wholemeal tortillas, avocado, baked potatoes, beans. But a bowl of choco snaps or multigrain hoops 👌🏻 must have

Iam currently only eating ground turkey, chicken breast, some red meat, salmon, rice,cottage cheese, fruits, carrots, some broccoli, egg whites, low fat yogurt with bran/protein flakes, almonds, cashews, avocados, protein shake, 72% dark chocolate chips for desert, only drinking water, and using a pre workout drink for gym days.
Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you again.
Hi Joe. Really thanks for all the info you share. Respect your opinions and follow your channel. One question. Is it important to ditch all the candy like for example chocolate all together? For example, I really like Ritter Sport Dark Whole Hazelnuts but can't decide if I would be allowed to eat that. Don't want to be hit back a week of work by eating this.

I was eating 3k calories & walking 12 miles on training days and 14-16 on rest days I've cut down to 5 miles a day on training and 8 on rest dropped my cals to 2400 for the first week weight went down from 147 to 142 so I upped it to 2800 thinking that's gotta be a surplus and my weight slightly moved. Going to go back to 3000k my plan was to get back to maintaining at 3k I was hoping it would take more then a month before I was back at 3k ngl. Just at the end of my first year of lifting and finally got referred for my tummy tuck operation after going from 367lbs to 139. So I can get on a bulk, but I'm slightly worried that to gain weight I'm going to have to go pretty high on calories in the future. When I was eating 3k and doing the longer walks I was maintaining between 144-147 for about 6 months, basically spiked to 147 every time I had a pizza despite it fitting my macros then I would drop weight over the week then I'd have the pizza again and it would spike again, I always just assumed it was water weight

I have the same type of breville espresso machine in stainless. It's the greatest thing ever. Runs neck-in-neck with my blender for most used appliance.

I have been thinking about my weekday/weekend calories as well and heard that if you eat less during the week, be carefull with not eating at maintenance/deficit (as a CONSTANT surplus is optimal for gains). Also, if you have a larger surplus during the weekend, some of the extra calories will be stored as fat, as you cannot convert a two-day 600+ surplus into muscle. Sucks that ''weekly'' calories are not as simple during a bulk as they are during a cut :/
Our bodies adapted from times where food was very scarce, and it wasn't uncommon to eat a ton one day, and not eat the next. I think when doing this on a 5:2 day split of controlled surplus : indulgence, his body will be fine and build muscle even with the weekend calories
More important than worrying about 2 days of high surplus turning into fat Is building a minimally invasive routine that does not inflict on your lifestyle, so that you keep going for months and don't feel like quitting. Quitting stores a lot of fat :)
@@perbhatkumar6748 I apprecoate your answer but my point is that if you spend 5/7 days at maintenance or even a deficit, you WILL build less muscle as a constant surplus is optimal for building muscle. The excess weekend calls will also turned into muscle but the majority into fat. This results, in throughout the week, in less muscle and RELATIVELY more fat (while still gaining at a desired rate).

When I used to track macros I never used my phone for it. Instead, once a day usually in the evening I opened macro calculator on my PC/latop and entered everything I've ate during the day in like 30 seconds because of the faster typing. Just a tip. Requires fairly good memory thou.

i gotta know what salmon is he eating at 5:30 cause it looks like atlantic, but atlantic salmon is about 400cal per 200g. His is 282, even sockeye the leanest generally is over 315 cal for 200g?

one thing i notice is that when i eat purely whole foods i get full full - and even though i can force it to meet 4-5000 cals a day it's as if my body can't handle/make use of all the dense nutrients and growth slows down... now if i add in some junk = ice cream biscuits pizza chips etc my metabolism seems to go into overdrive to digests the junk and along with that the whole foods seem to get used better... am i stupid for thinking junk food is necessary on a bulk ?

Have you started drinking caffeine again? I seem to remember you stopping due to health concerns. I'm 2 weeks off of caffeine and enjoying the more level energy levels. But I can see myself slipping back into old ways again.
