Two additions to my program: I add 5 pushups (holding dumbells) between each set, and I do shoulder abduction when I come out of the lunge on each side to add an alternate shoulder exercise. This is A+ material though

I love how you explain what you are doing with each exercise. This workout made me sweat like crazy..I love it! The hardest for me was the bicep curl. My favourite was the squat thruster. Overall, I enjoyed this workout and will be doing this weekly.

Hi tom, if its just 20 minutes, should I be doing this daily? I just completed it and it is quite challenging but I feel guilty that its only 20 minutes when my average gym time is 1 hour, as if I should be doing this twice a day.

Everyone’s weight should be different & hopefully you will progress over time. I personally use 10-15kg dumbbells for this routine however I recommend starting with a pair or 7-10kg Dumbbells for men and around 4-7kg pair for women.
Well appears day 24 of the advent was defo tough after the in class work out …lots of similar moves…especially after two days of PT on the bounce ….ouch.
Yes this is suitable for beginners if you don’t go too heavy. Try starting out with 5 - 7.5kg dumbbells and if they are too easy go up & viva versa. You can always pause an take a break if needed. Let me know how you get on 💪🏼

That's the first time I've encountered the lying leg raises with the dumbbels held upwards, and honestly, it's my new favourite thing.

Had to swap a few Advent workouts round. Enjoyed the curls, found the rows the hardest in terms of good form. Great 20 min dumbell workout.
