When u see bruises, a child hiding from a parent visit, the visits should have, at the very least, been supervised only, this is completely unacceptable his grandmother saw him covered in bruises and he still had to go! We were there and all of us immediately took him to the hospital to get him checked out to be sure he was ok, and the medical team believed it was the parents who did it despite our testimonial and called CPS!
They were horrified and were literally monitored for six months. Both had stellar records, good jobs and no indication of child abuse and even had adopted a special needs child, which we believe is what set it off.

@sherriianiro747 If they had nothing to hide, then they would submit to being monitored and thank the cps for doing their job! It is upsetting when we r innocent, to be suspects of crime, but I'm glad to hear it was investigated for the child's sake in case it was abuse, this requires time, maybe not 6 months, but 2-3 is reasonable. I was monitored by govt when I removed my child to homeschool, I invited them in, made a cup of tea, we went over everything, I was an open book and did not fear them in my home, now, I had a worker who was not opposed to homeschooling, so that helped, I also know there are some criminals in these govt systems, so it is upsetting, but that's when faith and prayer comes into play.

For those of you who are commenting on how despicable his father is, his father is a loveless man who only thinks about his image. If he stands up against his son, then it means that his son is a murderer and he can't be a father to such a son, so he is denying the truth so that he can have something to say infront of family and friends, have support from them and not be excluded from society while still protecting his image. Narcissists can never be wrong. Every mistake one of theirs make is an attempt to their image. When you understand this, it will make sence as to why he is this disrespectful.
This is how he raised his son to be, always right and gaslight people, so the child grows without introspecting and does whatever he wants without being held accountable and blames others to protect his image as he can never be wrong. This is the making of a narcissist in the home.
Always observe how people react to criticism and if ever called out on something they did, willingly or unwillingly especially infront of people of lesser influence than them. Then you will see the disdain they will show, unless they are in the midst of people they want to impress.

@Boomerang0875 I’ve heard of other prisoners giving the convicted parent that abused and beats their child(ren) to death, ‘prison justice’. This is a man that I hope gets that form of ‘justice’ because I sense that’s the only way he’ll feel the fear and pain that his son knew and felt at the hands of this POS statutory rapist ‘father’ that never even wanted Corey. I find it incredibly cruel to have denied his mother the chance to be at the hospital with her son. And that this ‘father’ actually left his son to die without his mother, and only hospital staff, is heart breaking. Although, those doctors and nurses, no doubt, showed Corey more love and compassion than his abusive father could. I think it’s horrific and shameful that Brianna was not allowed to hold her dead son when she was finally notified of his location and death. I understand ‘evidence’, but how could her holding her boy one last time affect cause of death? I pray for Brianna, and I hope she can find peace, and while she’ll always have a piece of her heart missing, I hope she shows herself forgiveness and love, and fills her life with all the happiness of being a mom to her daughter, and future children if they come into her life. I pray she has a happy and loving family life.

Miscarriage of justice for the killing of a boy who was tortured, abused, and who eventually received delayed medical treatment that could not save his life. This sentence is essentially a mockery of a judicial system that dishonors the memory of a six year old boy who never had a chance with his dysfunctional father. Why the Grandfather was allowed to give a speech during sentencing is beyond shameful. We need to do better.

Someone should have stood up and told him a lot of good all his "teaching " did when his son Chris decided to ongoingly abuse and ultimately kill Corie. I blame the state for forcing this mother to keep handing Corie over to that monster despite their pleas and concerns. He would never got involved if the state would not have gone after child support because Brianna filed for food stamps. Mother's have to unfortunately take these things in consideration. I hope Brianna continues to stay sober, continues to keep Corie's memory alive, and continues to be an advocate for other families. Rest in Peace sweet Corie! 💙🙏🏻
