The game was so terribly programmed, that the mumbo jumbo code mess transformed into an AI, became sentient and wanted to commit suicide, because it was created and related to Bethesda and Todd Howard and couldn't endure the endless shame that comes with that knowledge.
It's truly all just corporate networking, man. (He says with a heavy sigh) It's all "Our publicist wants to meet with yours and our marketing team wants to sit down with PR and discuss scripting" "Sounds great!"
it's getting them because there's unfortunate suckers who actually think the game is good. whether it be copium over spending money on it, or they haven't played anything outside of a Bethesda game since Skyrim came out, who can say. ain't hard to find actual good games.
How so? I mean at the end of the day both games don't monetize much and feature thousands of bugs. I would say they are very comparable. Yes, starfield has more visually dramatic bugs but its the nature of bg3 as an isometric 3D title that masks its bugs to a more muted impact as compared to a truly 3D world like starfield. Considering that BG3 has went through a 3 years long EA and still features thousands of bugs even after 5 patches that fixed at least 4000 bugs as the devs have claimed, its not essentially a hallmark of stability. Many bugs reported years ago have still not been fixed and the patches have broken working mechanics as well. BG3 actually induces a fake stability notion to players as the EA focused on Act 1 and that's where it really shines. And its tens of hours long. But the illusion eventually shatters once you transition to Act 2 and especially Act 3 with a marked loss of quality and quest density are as glaring as the rampant bugs. Essentially for me, both titles are broken. It is just subjective for players to encounter the brokenness of either according to their play styles and priorities.
@@brazensmusings2738 If only bugs where the issue Starfield would be rated way higher. It's not about bugs it's about game design. And there Bethesda is outclassed not only from Larian but many others.
I'm sure TES6 could win some, if it turned out actually good. But going by what we have seen from Bethesda in the last 20 years, it will likely be dumbed down significantly compared to Skyrim and be an even buggier mess than Starfield, all while still having loading screens for every single city, dungeon and house interior, because why use a modern game engine if you can instead further patch up GameBryo with duct tape to somehow make it superficially seem like it's not an absolutely ancient and, frankly, shitty-as-fuck piece of tech? Bethesda was good, even revolutionary, a long time ago. Their problem is, they never moved on from that, and the industry has long left them in the dust. Todd is stuck in the past and dragging the entire studio down with him because he stubbornly refuses to learn.
@@stefanrer1037 Havent heard that version, I only know that the cause was an unlocked framerate. Anything above 60 made the physics engine go ballistic.
that scene is so fking funny because I experienced it at least 30 times because I like modding this game. My sides still hurt from all the laughing. 😂🤣
The winner is SUCH a glitch, that it put a mirror on the entire game's industry, its developers, and the journalists who cover it and showed what a shallow, low-effort mess it all is in comparison.
It honestly makes you wonder IF they only hire a ton of people so they have tons of people to shift blame to when it fails. But if it succeeds it's all because of one person.

Nominate the game to make them show up, then don't give them a single award just to remind them how badly they have been outclassed.
Now that's a power move.
you get what you deserve
Sympathy nominations are always the most sad.
pls don't cry about spiderman ....
Like Bethesda? lol

That shit had me rolling.
Yeah, a masterclass scene!
Honestly that scene was low-key terrifying 😅
So good! :D

The elder scrolls section was fucking amazing.
That Skyrim transition was an absolute masterpiece.
My favorite bug/glitch of all time was from Fallout 76, where the game uninstalled itself. A game release so bad, it deleted itself.
The game was so terribly programmed, that the mumbo jumbo code mess transformed into an AI, became sentient and wanted to commit suicide, because it was created and related to Bethesda and Todd Howard and couldn't endure the endless shame that comes with that knowledge.
You're thinking of the day before. It was so bad it refunded itself on steam.
Sounds like a feature to me.
@@StephenThuggin I have no sympathy for anyone that bought The Day Before. That game should've been released with a special "no refunds" rule.
Perhaps more of a feature than a glitch 🤣
I'm still amazed how Starfield is somehow getting into these awards to be voted on.

between bethesda and bungie, i think they pulled in a grand total of 8 nominations and zero awards.

Baldurs Gate 3 "winning" had me in actual tears, this is multi level brilliance LMAO

Poor Spider-Man 2 can't even win in the Glitch of the Year category. Truly a game of all time.
The whole Skyrim bit was brilliant. Was 'lol'ing in my chair!
I had to upgrade my computer for this video
Paul Atreides is such a great actor. Great to see him off plannet Arrakis and presenting at the Glitch awards.👏
