Getting 4 people together long enough to get to the goblin camp and then have the discipline to place all the barrels before blowing them up early it’s a Christmas miracle.
Personally I suspect that it's a mod that lets him control 4 Player Characters at once

I was just going to say the same thing. I really laughed at the absurdity of it but I can totally see control freaks trying to calculate all of this in rl.
IRL would need an entire session just to calculate all those rolls.
I mean, unless someone or something is either sturdy or buffed enough to survive this, I don't think you need to make every single calculation. Oh, a goblin stands between 4 explosions, surely we've got to calculate this. ^^
@@__-tp4tm Here's the funny thing. Theoretically, if you have the Evasion perk (from level 7 monk or rogue, or some other source), you can completely negate the effects of an explosion by simply passing a dex save. You'd just have to pass one save for each boom.
I like how the mindflayer is just looking up to the four barbarian halflings after the chaos onboard the nautiloid and thinking "What have i unleashed upon this plane of existance?"

As for the egocentrism not really sure where that comes in? They mostly seem self confident and/or uninterested in things “normal folk” would, focusing more on pies and drink and the next town faire than things like bandits, chaos or politics. One of the things I love is that most of them have bits of warpstone on their mantle because they’re so resistant to chaos that it’s basically just a glowy rock to them instead of radioactive mutation cocaine
I love the implied narrative arc -- that after failing to save Arabella, and accidentally getting the tieflings killed trying to avenge her, the gang decided to just go full murderhobo for the rest of the game.

My first run was all melee with shadowheart for healing word and support
Went pretty well, my monk/barb was dex focused so when he wasn't stunning and prone-ing folks up close he was still peppering them with arrows and laezel and karlach really started to shred as they leveled, seeing this level of bullying is hilarious though

I love the idea of 4 halflings walking around and throwing each other at their enemy more often then using their weapons.
There are even items that increase your damage with thrown and improvised weapons. Your party members can count as both.

The fact that no matter what you do the halflings are still adorable is the best part of this whole fiasco. They're just so...pleasant looking.

This is just as chaotic as a recent DnD session I had, which was to simply break into a heroes tomb, so the grave cleric can resurrect the heroes' corpse to be our loyal minion. The final result was we got caught breaking into the Heroes tomb and which led the party to "accidentally" behead the gravekeeper as every attempt to persuade him failed, and every attempt to subdue him failed, the guard he was about to report to rolls a nat 1 perception check and now we're stuck with a peasant grave keeper zombie instead of a hero zombie corpse 😂

The 4 hours I spent trying to learn how to beat the goblin camp with 3 party members I could've spent pickin up big ol barrels
I killed the entire camp with just one Astarion. Ogre finished off the whole team from the roof. It's so fun to watch the goblins run around looking for what's killing them.

There's nowhere near enough barrels in the game to do that lol (without cheats). Could do the courtyard and that's about it.

I think the most impressive part is how little frame dropping there was once the grand finale started. Seemed super solid performance in a situation I think a lot of engines would buckle under.
My graphic card would burn to a crisp if i did that. Just being in Baldur's Gate brings my fps down to 40

A lot of actors with dwarfism have been upset with the lack of roles in Hollywood because of this fear to offend. Imagine if Larian hired a bunch of them to do some live action skits interspersed with this gameplay footage. That would be so epic.

I just dealt with them room by room, making sure to sneak attack any that roam around. I saved the Hobgoblin for last, but I even placed an explosion barrel by him. Had to reset after he fell in the bottomless pit of death because I'm a fucking Loot Goblin.

@justinneuroth1371 theoretically yes. Sadly due to cut content and bugs the "17,000 endings" are actually more like 1 with about 5 slight variations. Now that a lot of people are getting to act 3 and the ending people are starting to realize it's another Larian classic of them having an amazing first 70% of the game then dropping the ball at the end
@@StarguardianbardI've completed multiple playthroughs, going for very distinct endings each time, so even tho I'd like it if there was more slides or cutscenes to expand on them a bit more, there's still a lot of variety there

It can handle it without crashing, but it will severely drop your performance if you're not on an amazing rig.
Performance is quite solid in Act 1 though, so even some of the crazier stuff I did wasn't too bad on the frame rate. But the barrell explosions definitely can tank it 😅
