DIY: Seat Color Change With Dupli-Color Interior Paint!

My Buddy Ant Was Throwing Away His Front Stock Seats And I needed a passenger seat, so I took it. It was bugging me that the seat was grey when the rest of my seats are black, so I figured why not give this interior paint a try and see how it comes out. I ended up using two cans to get it fully black and it came out better than expected! Now to see how long this paint last!?

Do you think this would work if you just wanted to recolor the center panels in your seats?

Which ones bro ? I just painted my door trim panels , a,b and c Pilars and dash . Worked great !! Do 2-3 light coats at first ( so it looks like powdered sprayed not splotched on ) let it dry then do some thicker coats and let fully dry between coats it’ll look great !!!

@@coolricooo4436 Something like taping off the outer (cloth) seat panels if you wanted just the center panels black. I guess I'm wondering if bleed-through would be an issue.

If you just mask everything else off I don’t see why not

@@TetoMedia yeah I say mask it off but before painting make sure to clean the seat very verrryyy good !! If you can remove it even better . That way you don’t paint over dirt and dust particles. And do very very light coats & let them dry in between until you get the darkness you want. Trust me youll get better results and the material won’t get all hard.

I think it was just black interior paint, so it wasn’t gloss or flat if I remember correctly
