I haven't been to the gym in 3 weeks. The dysmorphia is strong. Today I return. I am fortified with my preworkout and with my vitamins and peanutbutter. It is leg day, my dudes.

Tom's straightforward mindset in facing adversity in form of weights was something to behold. I saw one of his workshops and he always recomended to breakdown the series in groups of 5 movements, small accomplishments...till complete ultimate death! Keep rocking!

@@theleanbeefpatty Yeah, you're the only fitness youtuber I've found that really fills the videos with jokes and stuff. I would NOT be able to watch these if they were just bland and monotone. It also helps that somehow your sense of humor is so similar to mine lol. And honestly the dedication you put towards this stuff is incredible

Can’t believe Tom Platz himself saw your other post about this workout!! Congrats for that haha. I won’t lie I’m not at this stage in my fitness journey just yet (taking mobility super seriously right now to MAYBE one day improve my squat) so will not be trying this, but enjoyed watching you go through it regardless! Seeing you go to failure is inspirational as fuck, Patty. I mean actual failure, where you're pushing to 110% and giving it all your focus.
I am speaking for myself, sure, but when I go to failure sometimes I'm happy with the performance and sometimes I feel like shit. Seeing someone with the lean beef you got on you go through the same really speaks to me, and it tells me that I'm doing something right. Seeing a beefcake go to 110% encourages me to go to 110% as well.
Sometimes, when something looks easy for you, it's inspirational too - I wanna make those big weights look easy for me as well! But when they aren't easy, it feels a bit like failure. Knowing that you push just as hard is so relatable and encouraging.
Keep cooking up that beef Patty, it's mad fun watching you go hard.

Hi Patty! This REALLY seems brutal! I don't know if I've seen you going this intense before (face/sound wise and all). Congrats on the super effort!! Glad you finished without any injuries and hope you rested super well \o/ It's nice when we discover new forms that we like, just as you did with the squat one on this video. Last week I was watching the Gym Jong Kook episode with Ateez and learned a new way of doing push up with full chest muscle engagemeng and it felt AMAZING. Leg day is the best day. Patty you're looking superb. I am feeling very bad because there are some haters who are trying to demotivate you. I don't know why, what's wrong with them. They are just feeling so jealous of you because patty you're so so amazing. I've never seen someone like you who is so good and hardworking. Don't listen to them patty. You're the best. One more thing I got a new PR. I deadlifted 405lbs and It was a conventional deadlift. Is that impressive?? . As you know I am 15 and I achieved this just because of you patty. Thankyou so much for that. You helped me a lot and I am so grateful to you. But from past few days I am getting so demotivated because I am studying the whole day for hrs and still feeling that I cannot achieve anything in life 😔😭. Hey buddy great job with the pr just remember your not fully grown and that is a really good amount of weight ….there’s usually a price to pay for power lifting to early so be safe ….on another note…. the greatest achievement has already been made by the Creator given you life the rest is all about learning from each situation trying to make the best decisions you can for that moment

Looks like I can't skip leg day today. That was a LOT of volume. You are something special. Thanks for the motivation.
People say tom's leg day is east because no one does it like him, he actually did 12 sets of 5-50 reps not 20. The hack squat he did it like a sissy squat which stretched and spreads the quads out, he also put both of his heels together then point his toes outwards like a duck which isolated the outer muscle of the quad which is basically the tear drop muscle, he did 5 sets of and note that all of this was done under heavy weight. Then he did 5-8 sets of the leg extensions with a spotter to help him pass failure, then when that spotter gets tired he calls in for another one lol so you get the point. Its very very hard as a natural to pull this off, but it is possible but you will be in extreme pain and soreness like never before but the results will be worth it! So next time you're doing this challenge try to do it exactly like how he did it and you'll see the difference, awesome vid patty😎

One of my friends did a crazy leg workout and he passed out and had to go to the hospital (he was ok) I don’t really know him really well so yeah this was like last year. Great content keep up all the great work and I hope you have a nice day Patty.

I haven’t been in a gym for about 20 years but I remember the squat rack and the pain. Leg workouts are more mental than muscle. You definitely find your limits working legs. Keep it up Patty, your doing great!!!
patty this is bittersweet for me today.. i was very excited to hit leg day today but i haven’t been well the past couple days. i was even watching tom platz this morning to get inspired but i had to make the executive decision to put my health first. it’s extra hard bc illness has been holding me back from the gym for years. however i keep going back, in part bc of inspiration from people like you and tom. this will inspire me to get better and try again another day. thank you patty for all you do to inspire women and many people in the gym. ❤

This seems like one of those workouts where it doesn't seem that bad when you're doing it, aside from the length. The real challenge is the next day, when taking a poop means endless suffering trying to get on and off of the toilet.
Doing it is really tough. You’ll be sore for 2 weeks if you don’t cycle your intensity levels.
It's ALWAYS the rest and recovery that is the hardest. The workout is the easy part compared to everything else. Only way to recover quicker is steroids

Tom Plats style of training will give the vast majority of people ungodly amounts of fatigue that will slow your progress in the long run.
im not really sure abt that, I'm goin to try it tomorrow, i used to do only 1 rest day for legs doing push pull legs, i mean i usually do legs with the push workout, i will start doing the normal push pull legs and im starting with this high volume workout to see how it goes, i mean i will have more rest days

I am in bed, not allowed to move my legs much or even sit/stand for another 3 weeks (5 since the accident) and moving through my week ass upper body mobility exercises and it gives me so much joy watching you kill it. Can't wait to get back out again.
