Compared to doing nothing, it's better to do even 1% of the process, not so much for the impact on the overall scheme which is where a lot of people fall into saying "Oh but if I don't do my 5 sets of squats to failure with superset I won't have blablablablabla", but because you adapt to being that person who "is disciplined and presents himself", which in the long term and mentally is what is worth the most.
imho, if i'm not frakin hyped by the second energy drink, today's NOT gonna happen.

patty i love that you fuzz out people in the background who are unknowably being filmed, that's so kind. especially with so many people nowadays who get views just from posting people changing in the locker room just to shame them or dogging on how much theyre lifting or how much noise theyre making or whatever bs clout goblins will use for views.
I like how relatable your training sessions are, like they are perfectly normal and not over the top crazy like other channels. It just seems easy going and fun. I used to do bodybuilding for about 8 years and it was such a tiring and un-fun grind most of the time, and i lost the passion for it after i got injured and sick.
Would be nice to train with someone who does the basics but also doesnt take it too seriously, especially at my age now i just want to enjoy myself and not destroy all my bones and organs.

I've been pretty insecure because my squat numbers aren't good (I'm literally a complete beginner to back squats and I'm focusing on form > weight) but I still sometimes get embarrassed to not be able to squat a lot yet lmao. Progressive overload and one day 💪

I’m going through the same right now. But I played around with set up, i tried front squats which helped and recently tried low bar back squats and wow! I can hold good form without feeling it in my back and was even able to up the weight after months. I hope it helps you!
Not sure what your goals are but the actual weight on the bar „doesn’t matter“ if your goal is to build muscle. Obviously, you want to progress over time and lift relatively heavy loads but don’t bother getting caught up in strength standards for hypertrophy, just focus on your own numbers and progression
Just squat, don’t worry about the weight. You’ll last much longer than the people that worry about the weight.

I started lifting two months ago, and although I've been progressing steadily otherwise (thanks to advice from you also!!), my squats especially have been feeling wonky and I've had to take a step back to focus on form, which is super frustrating. It's a comforting reminder that even pros like you have less good days at the gym. For some unknown reason this video turned up in my feed. At first I was skeptical but I ended up watching it. It was late and I was also working on my laptop. So I wasn't watching 100% of the time but I was listening. The next thing I know I burst out laughing and looked up to see your gym work out and antics. I love your sense of humor. But while not taking things too seriously you're dedication to conditioning also showed. Then I learned you're a former gymnast (watching your video on your athletic background and growing up). You're a breath of fresh air. Too many take themselves so seriously I have to wonder about their mental health. Keep up the good and hard work. And keep having some fun.

I wish you a speedy recovery after returning to squats 😬. When I skip deadlifts for 3 months, nothing happens except of strenght loss but it feels fine. Skipping squats for 1 week RIP legs, back and need to recover for one full week 💀.

The most I've been able to Squat is 160lb. But then I started having knee problems and had to take a break 🥲 it was really hard decreasing the weight and feeling like I was losing progress, but I was able to make gains in other areas. I'm so thankful there is always a silver lining. Your videos are amazing inspiration and never fail to make me giggle 🤠

Lol this was me last leg day😂 I haven’t been able to use a squat rack since they are always taken. I finally was about to go to the gym early in the morning one day and decided to see if I was able to squat as much as I used too and nope….. 😅 enjoy spending my sundays having coffee and watching your videos ❤️
