I am non-binary, and for me my androgyny is femininity, for me ideal androgyny is the land of the lustrous, it is part of my aesthetics, my inspiration but for society it is not. And this prevents me from feeling normal, I am tired of being accidentally called a woman simply because I do not try to fit into the stereotypes of androgyny that exist in society and im femenine. For me, masculinity is not my thing, but I am so tired of misgendering and dysphoria that it leaves me no choice. I would like gender to be only a personal thing that a person himself realizes and decides for himself what it is, and people did not impose their gender model on others.
Thank you for your insight. I always try to hold space for other people to express themselves the way they want to and be understood the way that feels accurate to them. The way I understand my gender sometimes doesn't use the same framework, but if someone else finds it useful, then I'm glad I shared it.
I clicked on this because I thought it was a comedy skit, but I genuinely learnt something. Especially as a nonbinary kid, i’ve been trying so hard to eliminate my stereotypically gendered actions, but i may have been holding onto those intentions. I learnt to see things differently today. Thank you for that
Thank you for putting this so eloquently and succinctly!
There are significant differences between boy and girl babies. Not everything is a social construct.

there is nothing "women" about my gender, I am a genderqueer non-binary person, I have my own neutral category
