    I've had my Omni for several months and I love it! It's so versatile, even my husband can use it without getting confused with the controls. Lol! This air fryer has been a life saver during the hot, humid summer. Love that tip to put the tray in the top slot to slow down the browning!

      I totally agree, it's so nice to bake and cook without having to heat up the house. And it's so much quicker. Happy cooking and stay safe.

    This worked great! Thanks for the advice about over browning. I happen to have 2 racks for my newer model Omni Plus 18L because the original one was faulty and kept falling out of the rack channels when I went to remove it (bad!). Instant sent me a replacement, so I reserved the old one for just this purpose. I wrap all or part of the underside of it with non stick foil and use it as a shield to prevent over browning or to keep small things from flying up into the fan when it is air frying (for example I'll shield an open face sandwich that is topped with a cheese slice until it has melted sufficiently that I know it won't get sucked into the fan).

    Thank you for this video! You been so inspirational in helping me decide to get the Omni-Plus oven. I have been told that the oven is great for reheating Pizza. I wish you would do a video on reheating.

    • @LanaUnderPressure
      @LanaUnderPressure  3 роки тому +1

      You are 100% right on the money. It is a master at reheating pizza and fries. I think pizza reheated the next day in the Omni is even better than when you get it fresh. I place it straight on the rack in the middle position and use the reheat function for about 6-8 mins at 360 degrees.

      Actually when using the Bake mode, it still uses the fan on the top, so it actually can be considered air fried. The difference is it uses the top and bottom heating element in bake mode.

    Hello and thank you for your videos, they are a godsend! Question: is there any way to cancel the preheat cycle on the omni plus? whenever time runs out and make adjustments or flip the food items it preheats back to the set temp which can take a bit of time, and I'm not sure f the food is being overcooked.

    I knew I liked you and your wonderful videos and when I saw the Lucy apron, it all made sense!!! Love it...am a huge Lucy fan! Do you have a pork chops recipe for the Instant Omni Plus? Thanks for all that you do for us folks who need lessons 😬🙏🏼

      I adore Lucy and Desi. It's one of my husband and my favorite shows. Did you know that the episode where she hides the eggs in her shirt, held the world record of the longest live audience laugh in a tv show? I ahve a recipe on my blog for a stuffed pork chop in the Omni. It's pretty yummy.

    • @DaleFoti
      @DaleFoti 3 роки тому +2

      Lana Under Pressure Yes, I do know that. In fact, I am one of the BIGGEST Lucy fans. I visited her hometown many years ago and saw the homes where she was born in and lived in and where she worked. I even won a couple of contests for dressing up as Lucy. I learned about the ‘egg’ show when I visited her museum in Florida at Universal. I also have a lot of Lucy memorabilia and have every episode, including lost episodes and was there when they opened the Lucy-Desi museum in her hometown of Jamestown, NY....I was on the front page of their newspaper in color as one of the first guests in color and bought many copies of it! LOL. Just an FYI, I love watching your videos and learn a lot, especially since my oven does not come with a lot of instructions. You’ve been a great help and I give you a lot of credit. Told my family and friends, so THANK YOU!!!

    • @LanaUnderPressure
      @LanaUnderPressure  3 роки тому +2

      @@DaleFoti OK, so awesome because I learned that fact at the Museum at Universal in FL too, lol. Every time we went, that was our first stop. Sadly it's not there anymore. The Jamestown museum is on our list of things to do. When we lived in AZ we saw the Lucy House in Sedona even though I heard she never really lived there. But it has a mannequin of her on the balcony which is a hoot. Lucy and Desi were such a talented and brilliant couple and they did so much for entertainment, that most people don't even know. My favorite fact is how she is one of the main reasons Star Trek aired and became the hit it did (we are huge Trek fans too). Well, I am so glad my videos are helpful and it really is humbling and such an honor. Thank you so much for your kind words.

      Lana Under Pressure OMG-I went to the Florida thing over 20 years ago so I didn’t know it doesn’t still exist! How sad. Well, that’s really exciting, though. You are also a true fan. Okay-so here is a bit of info-the first time I went to Madam Tussaud’s Museum in Vegas, I requested that they get a was figure of Lucy-and I put it in their suggestion book. Well, the next time I went, there she was! Now, I don’t know if my suggestion prompted them, but I’d certainly like to think so...she is now in the NYC one! Anyway....I’m glad to know of your stuffed pork chops-I missed that and tried the chops on my own in the Omni Plus and overcooked them-I guess it’s trial and error. On another note, Desi Junior’s daughter lives near me and we are friends in FB and I’m so sad that her daughter passed a few day’s ago...her name was Desiree 😰

    Darn, I would’ve gotten it almost right correct on the pizza I made just before I saw you video. Unfortunately I got a bit scared cause a large piece of cheese was falling off the edge, so I put the drip tray underneath instead of on top. But that tip is crucial because my cheese was mega bubbling and yes, my crust was _slightly_ below being crispy. I’ll follow your instructions next time I make one :)

      Hi. I always leave the drip tray in unless I am baking with a pan. Then I place the rack on the bottom upside down. In that case, I don't use the drip tray.

    I just bought a Vortex Plus and am learning how to use it, but the frozen pizzas we normally get are slightly too big to fit in it! So that's a bummer. Though I will probably just cut off a bit of one side and try it that way. But this video only features the Omni, which I gather has elements on both top and bottom, while the Vortex only has a top element. Have you found that pizza in the Vortex will still cook on the bottom because of the air circulation? Thanks. :)

    • @eshepard8565
      @eshepard8565 Рік тому +1

      (I am slightly wishing I'd bought the Omni, based on what I'm seeing of the reviews and tutorials...but the Vortex fits in the shelf cube space I have for storing it, so I don't have to keep it on the counter, which I don't think a bigger oven would do! So, trade-offs. :P )

    • @LanaUnderPressure
      @LanaUnderPressure  Рік тому +2

      I hear ya. The bottom doesn't crisp on the pizza in the Vortex as much as I like. But one work ain't is too place the frozen pizza upside down on a parchment for a bit. Then flip and cook the rest of the way.

    • @LanaUnderPressure
