    You are God sent! I am a sucker for new “toys” in the kitchen and I bought me one today and the “instructions” was vague and I got to admit I was overwhelmed and scared so I came on UA-cam and came across your videos and all I can say is THANK-YOU for the very clear and dummy proof how to guide for folks like me! You’ve gain another subscriber!

    I agree with you, the user manual is useless for figuring out how to use this oven. I purchased one recently and was so happy you made this video! I tried to follow your rotisserie video to cook my chicken last week and I failed. I will need more practice with that one. THANK YOU SO MUCH for posting these instructions!

      Thank you so much for your lovely words and I am so glad you like my videos. It took me a few tries to get the rotisserie trussing and cooking right. It's definitely a tricky thing. Happy cooking!

    I have been reading reviews back and forth between the Omni Plus and the Crusinart. Thanks to you, I think I will be pulling the trigger on the Omni Plus later today.
    Unlike so, so many UA-camrs, you are very concise and to the point. Old geezers like me appreciate that. Thank You.

      I just bought the Omni Pro Toaster Oven Air Fryer and am throwing out my Cuisinart "piece of junk" convection toaster oven. If I only ever make toast in my Omni Pro, I will consider it to be a win. Made a crustless quiche in my small corning ware dishes and it was perfect!
      Goodbye to burnt toast and other ruined dishes! Cuisinart does not deserve the reputation that it has earned. The racks are only at the top and bottom of the toaster oven. Because of their position, everything burns!

    I used my Omni oven today to make homemade chocolate chip cookies. Your advice worked. I lowered the temp from 375 to 350 and baking time to 6 min. They came out perfect.! Now Im ready to try a cake again. This week I will be making a Turkey Breast. Keep coming with the tips and recipies, glad you are here to help. Have a great day and stay safe.

      @@LanaUnderPressure You are very welcome. The only thing I have a concern with is those damn doors. I am thinking close pins when open to keep them from flopping around. The most important part and the doors are not on hinges to stay open. Baked 3 things Apple Pie= Banana Bread and Tuna Melts. Still looks brand new inside. You and I know what is gonna happen the first time I roast in in it. Oh well. Keep up the good work!

    3 years later and they still don't show you how to use this oven. My manual shows putting the basket on the drip tray! Then the recipes tell you to insert pan on a specific "level". My husband bought me the Instant Omni for my birthday last week, I had wanted one forever but was afraid to use it. I searched UA-cam and your videos caught my attention right away. Thank you so much for not only all of your hard work, but also for your positivity and the way you present your tutorials so even I can follow along! I have made notes from your videos and tried recipes, all of which I have loved (I have used my omni every day since I got it 😁) I can't wait to see what else you come up with for your fans to try! Quick question, I love it so much I have been thinking I'd like a second instead of waiting for a second item to finish before the first gets cold. Do you think it's worth it to invest in a second one? Thank you for all of your help, I am loving it!

    • @LanaUnderPressure
      @LanaUnderPressure  4 роки тому

      First, Happy Belated Birthday!! What a great present. Well done to your hubby. And thank you so much for your kind words, they really made my day and I am so grateful that you found them helpful. As for buying a second one, well I have 3 instant pots, 1 vortex plus, 1 omni, 1 omni plus, and the crip lid and mealthy lid, lol so I am quite biased, lol. That said, I use my OMni and my Vortex Plus the most and often times together. One thing you need to keep in mind is I can run them both on the same circuit but the minute I try to plus anything else in, the breaker trips. So that is something you have to think about when you cook with 2. That aside I think if you have the room, go for it.

    Lana, thank you for doing these videos. I'd say you are a natural, but I'm sure a great deal of work goes into making it look effortless.
    After watching your video, I bought the Omni Plus. I'm hoping you can help me figure out what I'm doing wrong in making toast. When I first ran the toast cycle, 1 slice, darkest setting, it barely got hot, with no browning. I tried preheating for 4 minutes, putting in my bread and setting the slice count to 6 as I noticed that increased the time. The bread was hot and getting dry at the end, but not brown. I had to start the cycle a 3rd time, and then by 2-3 minutes into the 3rd cycle, it was medium brown. It also was pretty darn crunchy by that time. LOL I've tried it a total of 5 times with 2 types of bread and similar results. Do you think something is wrong with the programming or elements? To double check, I put two oven thermometers in the front and back and set it to bake, 350. When the preheat went off, the oven was under 275 degrees. By the end of the cycle, it was up to 350. But one needs that initial heat of 350 to properly bake a cake. If the oven really needs to preheat to perform its best, it seems like they should say so.
    I can send it back to Amazon and get another if this is not the normal performance. PS, the only time my top circular element gets hot is on broil. I tried broiling my toast but that didn't work too great either. Thank you for your help. The IP folks have yet to respond.

      Awe thank you for your kind words. Honestly, I still use my toaster oven for toast. I don't find the Omni the best at toasting bread. One trick is to butter the bread before toasting and it really helps. Now the Omni doesn't use the fan on the toast setting and it also doesn't preheat, so I would place the bread in right away and then hit Toast mode. I will try and do a few slices and see what works best. :)

    • @LanaUnderPressure
      @LanaUnderPressure  4 роки тому

      Hi. Baking in an air fryer oven has a slight learning curve. The hump is due to the outer edge cooking faster than the middle so the outside stops rising but the inside and middle keeps on. Watch my video on rum cake, I show you some tips to keep that from happening. Also on my blog I have a recipe for pineapple upside down cake.

    Can you do a video about using the air fryer to cook frozen foods? I have lots of frozen foods, such as fish, veggies and various meats, but most of the facebook recipe sites for this machine really don't address much about cooking anything frozen direct from the freezer in the air fryer. Also, your blog only addresses recipes for the Vortex. Can you add such there for the Omni Plus, as well? Thanks.

      Ah, cookies are a learning curve. The trick is to use the Bake function and make sure the fan is on LO. Also, reduce the temp by 25 degrees and the time by 25%. You also need to rotate because I noticed that the back gets hotter than the front.

      I find that the drip tray is to far p even on the lowest level and the chicken hits it. That's' why I prefer to use foil covering the bottom and just use a mode that doesn't engage the bottom heating elements.

      Yes, that plastic smell is common. It is most likely residue from the factory. If you run it for about 20 mins on high it should burn off. If not, contact the company. They are very good at getting back to people. The silicon mat I bought off Amazon and I have a link to it in my accessories video. But you really could use any silicone mat as long as it is oven safe. As for 2 pizzas, I don't think you could fit both in at the same time and have them cook well. I haven't tried though. Hope this helps. Stay safe and happy cooking!
