This helped. I replaced rear main also to find it flush instead of offset like it’s supposed to be. Planning on using one piece oil pan seal. Fingers crossed no more oil getting on clutch.

This is a big help. I had my motor hoisted about 8 inches out and the pump kept getting in the way I wasnt sure if I should pull it or not but definitely a pain

Hey do you know if the oil pump needs a gadket or something because i took mine off and didnt see a gasket

@@TTOBS No gasket required between Oil pump to block if you are installing in a clean enviroment.. Thats how it came from the factory. When it is clean --The connection is very tight and oil cannot get past it, however I did use a seal between oil pump to block because I was working in tight quarters and kind of in a dirty environment, so any particles will prevent a perfect gapless interface from pump to block. The risk is if the seal goes bad in the future that would create a huge oil pressure drop in the future. I installed a real oil pressure gauge on my truck to keep a close eye on oil pressure. Best of luck.

On my 77 F150 4x4 I just jack up one side of the frame. Pan comes out and the pump can stay on. Didnt cut exhaust either. The older the better I guess

Yes sir. It does seem that way!! You probably didn’t have to deal with a bunch of early emissions nonsense as well.
