Hey YoTricks! Do you know if it is possible for lodged string to wear out or ruin a ball bearing?
This is kind of a long explanation of what happened, but I figured context might help figure it out. Doing some sort of string trick, I let go of the string and activated a bind by accident. The yo yo spun about halfway up the string before catching on something, unscrewing itself, scattering the two halves, and leaving me holding only string and really confused lol
I later realized that the yo yo seemed to vibrate more and sleep for less time. I don't know if the string could have done something to my bearing, or if just means I'm going crazy and need to practice my throwing accuracy 🙂. The yo yo still sleeps fine, just seems a bit "off."
I am a fairly new player with a unresponsive duncan freehand nextgen with a concave bearing. The yo yo is brand new (~3 days).

I have recently by myself hey responsive yo-yo a Nonresponsive yo-yo. The shop on your app Has a lot of nice yo-yos and intend on buying a nice yo-yo as soon as I get better… I have reached level six on my level up. On the app. I take my yo-yo everywhere😁

I probably haven't touched a yoyo in about 20 years. Just bought the replay and replay pro and I've learned binding a little and almost all 10 of the beginner tricks in a matter of a day or so. All I have left to get down is the UFO and the Loopty loop.

Hi just a random question. I got the sage Yoyo, but when I use the responsive bearing, I have to triple wrap the string to get it to play response enough. But when I do that, string tricks don’t spin long enough.

Yes, some packages are delayed, some are arriving on time. It seems to be inconsistent at the moment country by country, and even from one package to the next.

It also works well for the sidewinder if you hold the string with your none-throwing hand when the yoyo is sleeping, move your throwing hand parallel to (next to) the yoyo then let go of the string, makes a fan noise too which is pretty cool

What of you use inverse wounded string
So this might be the wrong video for this but my 4a yoyo is getting caught on the string. When I try tossing it, it gets study on the string and comes back and hits me in the hand. No, it is not attached to the string this does not happen every time. Can I have s one help with this please.
You yoyo is cool
So question I have a Duncan yo-yo that has two knot so I have to replace it how do you get the string off the yo-yo.
Hold the yoyo firmly in one hand, the pinch the string about a half inch away from the yoyo and slowly twist the string towards you. Keep doing that and you will see a bigger and bigger opening in the string and then you can just remove the string. Just play around with it. You’ll get it. We all had to learn this.

i was wondering, how big is your machine shop, must be pretty big, how big is it?
I have never been to our shop, so I am not sure how big it is. Actually, we use multiple shops, it just depends on which yoyo it is.
so your saying that you have a different shop for each yoyo, and you haven't seen any of them.
I have just bought one yoyo and it came today while throwing I found that the yoyo kept rotating or spinning sideways(it is not tilting) and I can't stop it from doing that plus i cannot do any tricks on it properly because of that. Does anyone know a way to solve this ?

I’m new to yoyoing and all I have is a little kid yo-yo that doesn’t have ball bearings and can’t sleep, what would be a good beginner yo-yo ?
We have 2 recommendations. The first is the Fizz yoyo, which is the yoyo we use in this video. The Fizz is the easiest yoyo to use that is also great for learning tricks.
The second is the Sage Yoyo Starter Pack. The Sage is also easy to use, but requires you to lube the bearing periodically (lube is included in the pack). The advantage of the Sage is that it you can upgrade the bearing (also in the pack) to do much more advanced tricks.

@@nicholasrytting9862 I would say pretty new but minimal skill. I can do a power throw, an inside and outside loop, and that's about it. I got stuck at the sleeper and accidentally hit the yoyo too hard on the floor.

Do you have a video for the unresponsive yoyo string tension trick shown at the 0:30 mark? I've looked around and haven't found it. It looks like a normal bind off to the side, so not too crazy, but thought I'd ask in case I was missing the video.

I appreciate the tutorial and the work you've put into this, but it's so darn hard to match your movements. For one, they're mirrored. For two, they're fast. Even when you're making an effort to slow them down. I have a great throw, but I'm getting ultra upset about my inability to do a simple flying saucer. I still don't fully understand how to change the direction of the saucer (for reverse tension) either. Blah. I can do it to the right (away from me) and can more or less get the yo-yo back into my hand after, even if the string gets messed up in the process. But doing it to the interior? Impossible so far.
Is there any unresponsive string tension tricks like this that you would be able to do in the middle of a whole set of tricks?
I'm not quite sure what you are asking. You mean like part of a combo? The trick I showed when I was talking about unresponsive string tension tricks can be used as a finisher for most tricks.
@@yotricks I'm wondering if there is a trick that has a visual and also reduces string tension. With responsive yoyos you would be able to do a sidewinder or a UFO which has a visual to it and helps remove string tension. I'm wondering if there's a trick like that but it works with an unresponsive yoyo
