I got back into yoyoing for the first time since the late 90s, and it's such a fun, satisfying hobby. I'm so stoked to be back into it, and it's all because of yoyotricks! Just got my third yoyo today, the Arcade Galaxy Edition. Just downloaded the app too thanks to this video, I had no idea there was an app. This is awesome!

I got a magic yoyo before I found your channel. It is pretty durable.

Yes it is fun for basic tricks but once you wanna do string tricks your gonna want to get a better yoyo I recommend the fizz it really is as good as he says

Hey Adam, my boy wants to know, what are all the tricks you can do with the fizz. Like the names of tricks which are possible for the fizz. Because since the fizz is a beginner yo-yo, its tricks are limited right?
It can do all the tricks we teach with a responsive yoyo. It would take too long to list them all, but if you go through our trick list on our site or on the app, whenever we use a responsive yoyo, you can assume the Fizz can do that trick.

I'm new but I have no interest in 1a.
You already recommended me a matching counterweight when I got my Node.
I also think you should consider selling more/different kinds of weights, double dice, and astros.
Out of every yoyo shop I found, yours is the most well designed, which means unless you don't have something I need, you're the only ones likely to be getting my business.
I found the accesories options to leave a little to be desired however.
I'm pretty sure you can print and sell weights that people designed as STLs. Open source is free game usually.
For people without a printer and those unwilling to waste the filament to print failed test runs, you'd help a lotta them out by playtesting and selling cool designs at a fair price.
We have thought about getting a printing, now might be a good time to invest. Thanks for the insights!

That is a pretty old school yoyo. It is not on the same level as the yoyos you mentioned, but it is a perfectly fine yoyo.

I'm like 80% sure I want to get into playing yoyo, and I have some minor experience from when I was a kid.
Is it worth it to skip the cheap plastic yoyo and move straight to an unresponsive (or a responsive, I forget) if I think I have confidence in the basics?
Honestly I REALLY want a one drop Legendary Terrarian and I want to put in the decent money for a good metal yoyo that will last me right from the start.
I already know how a plastic yoyo plays, even the more decent ones, but I never even knew metal, dual metal and tri-metal or composite yoyos existed.
I have minimal worries about dinging the pavement because I'll either play on grass or using a shorter string.
I'm considering getting the terrarian for 80-100ish, then tossing a few varieties of strings in there with a holster to carry it with me.
Curious to know what the vets say.
I can do some basic tricks that require a stall, or at least I used to be able to, but I never got as far as learning to manipulate the string very efficiently. I have no desire for sponsorships or professional play.
I mostly want a cool collectible that I can use to learn a new skill. If it gets dinged up, no big deal to me.
Everything you are saying makes sense. However, you will ding your yoyo. It just happens. If your goal is to not ding it, the only way to achieve this is to not play with it. In light of that I would also get a less expensive metal yoyo just for playing, something like the Arcade.
@@yotricks I actually just grabbed a Node from you guys online, literally a couple hours ago, after hearing about the QC you do to make sure they play well.
It will be my starter yoyo and I will both abuse and love it tremendously.
I added a matching blue counterweight because 5a looks like a dream and I want to learn it so bad.
I still plan for that Terrarian when I can afford it, but I just really had to bite the bullet and get SOMETHING to start playing.
Especially wanting to learn 5a, I don't think I'll be upset with my choice at all.
You guys are already proving a very valuable resource on this journey for me, so thanks!
(I didn't look at the Arcade but others said good things about the Node and about thenmagic yoyos you carry in general so I think I'll be fine 😁)

Most responsive yoyos cannot be made unresponsive. Those that can will require a new bearing.

Lol - the Magicyoyos you showed (M001, N8) are the ones I wouldn't recommend. V4 and Y01 Node are probably the best of their budget throws.

I got the fizz and when I try to sleep it I throw my hardest and it’s straight but it only can spin for 10 seconds
Check your string tension, or loosen the yo-yo about half a twist, and if those dont work Use thin bearing lube.
