When using reflect rings, you would do more damage if you multi targeting on your own party rather than single targeting. Multi targeting halves the damage, but then you do that 4 times. Double damage.
IIRC they patched it so it only hits a given target once, and only for the damage it would do if it was single-target. They also patched the infinite crackable rods bug that was introduced really early on in the PR's existence, which is a shame because getting two staves of light to cheese Exdeath with was very funny.

I knew Archaeoavis was going to be a brick wall for Black Mages, and the only one. I was _not_ expecting reflected Megaflares against TwinTania. Figured you'd just directly cast the death spell, but that was much flashier! Well okay, Almagest is kind of an HP-check for every team. I've seen someone !Release the eyeball jelly things (?) to Break the Almagest part, but Neo ExDeath's magic defense (and level) is bonkers high. For what I've heard is the easiest single-class challenge, that final victory was clutch. Well played!
I have made a big transition to watching challenge runs of some of my favourites - Pokemon, Final Fantasy, Chrono Cross and Trigger, Legend of Dragoon... and I REALLY enjoy how understatedly fucking funny you are, and no overproduced bullshit. I hope you keep building this, you're smashing it.
Those deep lore meme references are absolute gold. Somehow every run narration is more entertaining and hilarious than the last. But man, white magic is gonna be an adventure.
Have you considered using cheats or hacks to unlock classes early considering how late into the game some of the latter classes are unlocked otherwise?
I think flare would have outdamaged Fire3 against Exdeath at the end there. Well, until you added in broken rods into the equation since broken rods would have outdamaged flare anyway lmfao.
In the last FFV speedrun from RPG Limit Break they showcased a pretty neat desert skip. So you can instantly and easy traverse the desert after the whack a mole fight. Maybe something that will keep your sanity for the next runs ;)
So far, it kinda feels like the only benefit to a balanced team is budget. Quad Knight and Black mage was a pretty smooth ride. Why even fuss with the other 20 jobs at this point anyways?
You will have an incredibly smooth playthrough if you do some permutation of Knight Black Mage White Mage. Most of the other jobs are there for flavor, but there is indeed a lot of overlap. Theres still some cool and interesting things to see.
Fun fact: Any job that can equip a Rod can trivialize Shinryu. Set the Wonder Wand so the next spell is Berserk, and then go in with 4 Hermes Sandals and a lot of Phoenix downs. Berserk him, revive whenever someone dies, and spell cast till he dies. Not sure if changed in PR though.
Small brain: Good tactics is dealing damage medium brain: Nooo you need to consider resistance and flanking and positioning and defence and- Big brain: Good tactics s dealing ALL of damage
I've been working on these videos for the past year lol. I have 6 more playthroughs banked. They're doing well so I'm prioritizing them. Probably helps its right before the Four Job Fiesta. I thought these we're going to totally bomb so I'm pleasantly surprised.

I've watched all of these so far, and honestly, Exdeath at the end makes me feel like Sephiroth was a joke.
Could I recommend putting some music in thr background, it's a bit jarring to not have any. Otherwise the narration is great.
I usually use the in game audio. These first 3 were streamed so I couldn't. The next ones will have in game audio.

I don't think so, because you gain those extra jobs very late in the game, negating the purpose or single job challenge in the first place
