Matte varnish gives it the perfect finish, it looks so much better dulled down, I'll be giving this a try on a couple of German figures I have waiting to be painted. Really nice video thank you
For the rain drop lines, you could probably utilize a super fine marker pen (I know it works great on 28mm figures for eyes) - the difference between black and the german camo dark green probably wouldn't be noticeable.
gah! day late and a dollar short! I just finished a 1:16 scale Tamiya German winter infantryman using this pattern! You made it look way way more easier than the box art did! lol He looks ok, but man, now I'll have to get another one and try out YOUR technique!! Thx for the uniform tutorials- they are REALLY helping with my figure painting!! very much appreciated!
your video's really convincing me to start painting figures!!thank you very much for what you doing for us!!greetings from out of Belgium ( the land of beer and chocolate)
I LOVE THIS! I literally just started painting figures for serious, and I also finished painting my figure being Alpines British Tank commander #1 and I pick up my phone and see this!I can’t wait to use this when I will be painting some German figures I have waiting to be painted in some late war camo! Thanks for all this and love the Finish! ~KG Modelling
Great video which it's important to remember Camo is supposed to be random and errors do exist so makes an exact replica is less realistic then doing it from memory and a refernce.
Hi Hank, what do you recommend? a primer from a can like the Vallejo black primer spray, or a primer used with an airbrush? In addition, another question that has nothing to do with this video, what color do you use for your Sherman tanks? Thanks in advance and keep up the good work making super interesting videos
Might be hard to see, but the splinter goes over all the colors, in authentic Splittertarnmuster. Each color is a separate print, and the last one are the "rain splinters"
Yes! I have a set that I like to use - I chat about it in detail in my "Best Scale Modeling Supplies for Beginners" video if you'd like to check it out 👍

Yes! Been waiting for this one, ha!
Haha glad to hear it!
Another great figure painting.
Really like the Camel
Thank you!
Thanks for the video, I had asked a month or two ago so appreciate it very much
Simple yet effective. Beautiful work my friend.
Thank you kindly!

Awesome! So glad to hear it!
Thanks 👍
Thanks!
Thank you so much! Too kind, my friend 🍻
Great video and jacket
I just bought this pack of minis and was hoping you'd do a tutorial with them
Ah perfect!!!
Basically how I do the German ponchos. Good to someone else do it though.

I’m going to try this. Usually the figures just end up in a labeled bag unassembled.
Give it a go! Practice makes progress 👍
Thank God, I just started this kit. 😂
Haha awesome! Enjoy - it's a good one.
What color did you paint the helmet looks awesome as heck!
Beautiful work! What brushes are you using?
Great video, awsome job!
I have also a question about jacket, is it really warm because should be woolen padded ?
Thanks
What kind of brushes do you use?

If you want to do this pattern on 28mm figures, a sharp toothpick is your best friend.
Are you going to paint the other versions at some time?

I am having trouble finding paints in my local area. Besides Amazon, where do you purchase your paints? Shipping 💲 are a killer 😮 Thanks for any help.
What did the Allied forces call the German army as it retreated at the end of WWII?
A receding herr line.
What brush are you using? Is there a specific brush set you have or what size would it be?
Yes! I have a set that I like to use - I chat about it in detail in my "Best Scale Modeling Supplies for Beginners" video if you'd like to check it out 👍
Thank you!
Shouldn’t be to hard to replicate for 1/16 figures
Very good work, but i cant with the eyes in that scale. I see all eyes in that scale horribles.
