My 2016 Fortuner has a lift, Falken Wildpeak tyres, a bullbar, MSA towing mirrors, a roof platform and carrying a swag with a full load for camping gets around 10-11 L/100km (100,00km). Without the load and swag with a bit of town driving, it gets around 9.5. The worst response is increased noisefrom the extra turbulence. I think the weight and smaller frontal profile of the hilux/Fortuner make the difference over the Prado.

It would be interesting to see a comparison like this between a manual and auto Hilux….

To be honest the kd engine is better than the gd engine because I had a few problems on gd engine the fuel pump got stuck and cost the timing chain to broke and bending the valve Second it has a egr cooler problem and third and third the dpf got blocked because the fifth injector hole got blocked these issues I had on Many gd engines

Hi Andrew This is not Prado related but do you work on 200 series Landcruiser . My horn is only working when I turn the steering wheel ,no airbags lights on so I guess it's only the horn . I realise it will mean replacing the clock spring mechanism . Can you do this a and what would it cost . Regards Mal
