- A little Sunday evening ride from Lasalle to St. Louis Park in Lachine to test my GoPro Hero 6... One of the first routes I took after getting my scooter. The Apollo City is a good beginner electric scooter with a max range of 40-45km in Eco mode and a rated max speed of 40kmph but i recently got to 47kmph on a flat... enjoy this raw FOV video

Nice ride
Thanks bro
Hey there, just ordered an Apollo city and cant wait to get it. I plan on riding it to work, which is 4.6 miles from where I live. Was wondering something, do you think a bell or mirror is necessary? Does the city even come with a bell? I’m guessing, probably not
It comes with a bell yes… also I already linked the mirror in one of these comments… you’re gonna have fun
where is the switch for the head/rear light and also the stem and deck LED?
On the display there’s a mode button one you hold that down, it turns on the lights
How you getting up to 30+ or is that a different metric
This is in kilometres
What light do you use as an attachment?
This is the light I used... have two now on my new scooter...
USB Rechargeable Bike Light Set,... www.amazon.ca/dp/B081SPFP5L?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Is that your light on the left side of y to he blue twist ? I have no more space on my HBs because of my speedometer, phone holder and bell so that would be a great spot for the light of it is the light
I live in the montreal area as well I want to get a e scooter but was worried that I would not be allowed on the roads and bike paths? have you ever had an issue with police in montreal? thank you.
I have only been stop by the police once. It was night time and I forgot to put on my lights. He told me to make sure I can be seen cause they couldn’t see me and he don’t want me to have an accident. I was on the main road. You will have no problem riding on the main road. Just stick to the right lane. I always ride on bike paths where I ride at a slow speed as to not cause a nuisance to bike riders. Just gear up, get rear lights on your bag or helmet, obey the Road Rules, don’t be speeding all over your neighborhood and you should be ok. ☺️
Just got the explore two days ago and its amazingly fun!
do you wish you woulda gotten a apollo explore or ghost instead of this scooter? im stuck deciding between the apollo city and explore
If the ghost was an option when I was buying the city I would of bought the ghost. More range and dual motor for more power and hill climbing. The city is a good first scooter but I wanted more range and speed after riding for a month. Wish I did get the explorer at the time. I have since sold this scooter and got a used Evolv Pro plus scooter which is basically a Apollo pro. Check my other video for the pro.
have you ever done a range test? and if you had, how far have you traveled. Asking because i really like this scooter and would like to get it for commuting with a seat but can't really get an idea with all the videos out here, thank you.
Raffy R I haven’t done an exact range test but what I do is Uber eats on my city... this includes a lot of start and stops in traffic and a few inclines... Apollo rates the range at about 45km per charge if you are riding in gear 1 where the max speed is about 14mph. I usually ride in gear 2 while doing Uber eats while keeping my speed between 15 and 21mph to conserve battery. It’s all according to your distance of travel. I might do a range test soon but I’m now upgrading to the pro so we will see how that goes
Expect get about half of the manufacturer’s claim range if you riding in gear 3 and full speed constantly. It’s a great first electric scooter
I took my city to central park which has a 6 mile loop and did 12 miles going 17-26mph the whole time. I still had 30% battery left but saved it for the short ride home. I think it would be safe to say that I could get 15 maybe 16 miles in mode 3 going near top speed. It is a little hard to judge since the battery indicator reflects how much batter life you have depending on your current speed which can be a little misleading. I know the voltage indicator can be used but I'm not familiar with how to use that yet. I'm 172lbs with full gear on.
Hi man I’m looking for get this scooter I’m wondering if you have tried to ride in winter, how battery goes in winter?
I've rode in winter but not snow.... The battery is negatively impacted because of the cold causing you to have less range. Unfortunately this is how batteries work. If you are planning to ride in the snow... You may want to waterproof the scooter or what ever PEV yin have and get some studded tires.
it really gets beat up in the winter, not in a sense its destroying the scooters baterry cycle life but more in a sense you get 15km per charge at 25kmph instead of 30 35kph constantly for 35+kms
Do you like your scooter? Are you satisfied with your purchase?
As a first scooter I’m satisfied with the performance.... I can get up to 28 miles per hour if I choose to and the range is good also...
have you had any flats since you've had it. i'm wondering how often ppl get flats. i work about a mile away in a extremely small town. takes weeks for delievery if i need replacement tires. wonder what your opinion about the tires. i really want to buy that scooter
I never had a flat because when I got the city day one I placed armordilloz tire Sealant in both tubes… as I do with all PEVs I have… I made sure to always check my tire pressure weekly, keeping it above 45PSI to minimize the chances of pinch flats. Hope this info helps… You can also order more tubes and keep them just in case.
@@djlexi22 thanks so much for the info! this is really helpful! ima get the sealant!
@@djlexi22 omg, thanks so much for the recommendation because i bought this scooter thn found out everyone has a flat tire issue. Im glad to find a solution .
@@user-rp4om8cr3n glad to help… keep that psi up… also look into some wider tires for a more comfortable ride 😉
Just seen this video how many hours is the riding time ?
It’s all according to how you ride… I won’t measure in riding time but in distance… if I remember correctly the most I ever got is about 35km (20miles) could of got more if I didn’t speed up a bit in the end…
@@djlexi22 that’s true and Apollo is a good brand I like to ride type far so ninebot max g30 is valid for me 🤷🏽
@@thomaspiare300 I’ve since switched to EUCs cause of the price to performance. EUC is not for everybody but once you get a taste you won’t look at your scooters the same
J'en achète un bientôt! recommanderiez-vous toujours ce scooter après 7 mois? / I'm buying one soon! would you still recommend this scooter after having it for 7 months?
I have since the sold my Apollo city and have a evolv pro scooter. If this is your first scooter then it’s a great beginner scooter good range and speed. Minimum maintenance and very fun to ride. I upgraded because I wanted a bit more speed and range as I used this for Uber eats. I do recommend this ☺️
Get the explore
Salut je vois tu te promène dans les rue Montréal je suis de Montréal aussi et je m'apprête acheter une apollo city dit moi tu a jamais eu problèmes avec la police sur la route et dit moi sur 10/ coment tapprecie ton apollo city merci
Hey there… I got my scooter in 2020 during the beginning of the pandemic so there wasn’t a lot of persons riding these. I was stopped once by police riding at night because I had no lights on while riding in the main road. I took the bike paths and lanes as much as possible. When riding on the main road obey the rules of the road, don’t speed, wear a helmet and all should be well
How much do you weigh?
I’m about 168lbs
I hearing that problem child ✊🏾 I just got the explorer 👌🏾
Mike Larrow noice ... I’m upgrading to a pro
Problem child is the boss 🔥🔥🔥
like a boss. Just bought an AC
do you have any problem with cops ? :/
I was only stopped once and told to get more lights when riding at night. This was last summer. I don't think the cops will stop you once you are not speeding and obeying the rules of the road(stop signs and traffic lights). Keep to the bike paths and lanes whenever possible.
