So I've been riding this electric Unicycle for the last month and a half after I sold my Evolv Pro scooter. I have rode about 1000km so far and I have been loving it. It Warmed up in Montreal Today (11 degrees Celsius) so I decided to take my Evolv Pro- Plus for a long awaited ride. I changed out the finger throttle to an Apollo thumb throttle which I love. I bought this scooter used which was Originally bought from Urban Machina. The Scooter is similar to the Apollo Pro electric scooter in specs and performance. Raw video with cuts at long stops.

      You don’t need a license for riding an e-bike…. I was never stopped while riding… just obey the road laws and you should be ok ☺️

      If you are gonna ride where’s there’s allot of hills, then 1000w would help with the hills…. 750w would be fine also it’s all based on your usage

    HI, I'm happy to see a video filmed in Montreal finally I'm interested in getting the Blade2 my question is what the police are intercepting you for questions about the blade because it can look like a motorcycle, watts,class, etc. Thanks

      Well I have only been stopped once and the cop was just fascinated about the bike. Never was questioned about the wattage, or class etc. that being said I keep my speed to legal limit for ebikes which is 32km/h or 20mph and always obeying the rules of the road. The Rize Blade 2 comes with a sticker that says it’s 500w even if it’s more than that😉. So you’re good

      @@stephtheveteran1643 I’m 5’11” pushing 6’ and I can pedal… on my blade the seat is what makes it uncomfortable after long rides. I have never seen in person nor rode the blade 2 but the seat looks better. You can always buy a seat cushion if you get sore or get an after market one.

      Hey there… I got my scooter in 2020 during the beginning of the pandemic so there wasn’t a lot of persons riding these. I was stopped once by police riding at night because I had no lights on while riding in the main road. I took the bike paths and lanes as much as possible. When riding on the main road obey the rules of the road, don’t speed, wear a helmet and all should be well

      It’s all according to how you ride… I won’t measure in riding time but in distance… if I remember correctly the most I ever got is about 35km (20miles) could of got more if I didn’t speed up a bit in the end…

      @@thomaspiare300 I’ve since switched to EUCs cause of the price to performance. EUC is not for everybody but once you get a taste you won’t look at your scooters the same

      I am not sure of any. More owners of Rize bikes do the work on their bikes themselves so I never really asked. There are some bike shops who will help according to the issue you are having.

      @@djlexi22 my bike's Power to the motor keeps gettingcut off. The battery is fully charged and the display works showing battery charge level, current speed etc, no indication of a problem - no error code. I tried resetting but no change

      @@malikahmed49 first thing that comes to mind is the brake sensor. That would be my first thing to check while troubleshooting. The brake sensor is activated when you squeeze either brake lever even if it’s slightly. This cuts the power to the motor as a safety feature.

    Hey there, just ordered an Apollo city and cant wait to get it. I plan on riding it to work, which is 4.6 miles from where I live. Was wondering something, do you think a bell or mirror is necessary? Does the city even come with a bell? I’m guessing, probably not

    have you had any flats since you've had it. i'm wondering how often ppl get flats. i work about a mile away in a extremely small town. takes weeks for delievery if i need replacement tires. wonder what your opinion about the tires. i really want to buy that scooter

      I never had a flat because when I got the city day one I placed armordilloz tire Sealant in both tubes… as I do with all PEVs I have… I made sure to always check my tire pressure weekly, keeping it above 45PSI to minimize the chances of pinch flats. Hope this info helps… You can also order more tubes and keep them just in case.

    Hi man I’m looking for get this scooter I’m wondering if you have tried to ride in winter, how battery goes in winter?

      I've rode in winter but not snow.... The battery is negatively impacted because of the cold causing you to have less range. Unfortunately this is how batteries work. If you are planning to ride in the snow... You may want to waterproof the scooter or what ever PEV yin have and get some studded tires.

      it really gets beat up in the winter, not in a sense its destroying the scooters baterry cycle life but more in a sense you get 15km per charge at 25kmph instead of 30 35kph constantly for 35+kms

    if your feet get repeatedly sore when riding on a scooter I would recommend getting impact souls they’re generally for people who ride skateboards as inserts for shoes but it could prove beneficial when riding on rough terrain on your scooter making it less brutal on your feet just a tip

      @@aarron1234567 Well the EUC is much more fun to ride, space-effective and more efficient... My 1041Wh EUC is getting the same like my 1216.8WH scooter. I live on the second floor of my apartment building so it's easier to take up the stairs. Most persons who rode an EUC hardly ever go back to electric scooters.

      I was only stopped once and told to get more lights when riding at night. This was last summer. I don't think the cops will stop you once you are not speeding and obeying the rules of the road(stop signs and traffic lights). Keep to the bike paths and lanes whenever possible.

    Are you still in Quebec? I ordered a Rize Blade as well - on the website it says 750W but as it appears the Quebec law is 500W so how do I get the engine clocked down? I'm really confused.

      I’m in Quebec still yes.... i have sold the 500w blade and now have a 1000w blade. You can only limit the power of the bike in the setting. That’s the only way I think you can ‘clock down the motor

      Thanks for viewing... since Uber don’t have a electric scooter option, I choose the bike as my vehicle of choice. Just keep below 25mph when delivering. I would be making more videos soon of EVs.

      I mainly ride on bike parts unless I'm doing Uber eats and even then if my delivery can be reached by bike path I do that also. I actually passed a patrol car in this video with no issues. I so Uber eats after curfew sometimes and passed maybe 5-8 patrol cars nightly. Once you are on the road, obey the rules of the road.... Lights, stop sign etc. If you are riding at night, make sure you can be seen by drivers. Check my other video out for the range test that was done only on bikes paths on Montreal ☺️

      I always recommend full face helmet for PEVs as accidents can happen at anytime. Some may say it's over kill but it's better to be safe than sorry.       I just got my Apollo Ghost, my first ever 10 minutes ride I got stopped by the police at my local bicycle path! Just telling me that it is absolutely illegal to ride escooter in public road in Québec. So disappointing😞

      @Mzdx the most I ever did before getting tired is 39.5km. I could of gone more but my legs were becoming sore. If I'm riding conservatively I'm think ill hey about 50 - 60km.. I may have to try to do a range test video when I have time.

      If the ghost was an option when I was buying the city I would of bought the ghost. More range and dual motor for more power and hill climbing. The city is a good first scooter but I wanted more range and speed after riding for a month. Wish I did get the explorer at the time. I have since sold this scooter and got a used Evolv Pro plus scooter which is basically a Apollo pro. Check my other video for the pro.
