I commute to work with my Phantom everytime I can in Quebec city and never had any issues with the police. As long as you are riding safely they don't care.
Please implement the following into your Apollo app:
-Allow the user to set a speedlimit for each mode
-Allow the user to set a "button press sequence" which the user can program it themself to unlock Ludo mode
-Require the button press sequence everytime you power off/on your scooter
In this case you would be safe in case a police stop.
If you are riding your scooter on "private" roads in ludo mode and you see police or they stop you, you just powercyle the scooter> it default to the default speed limit and the policy wont be able to enable ludo mode due to the specific button press sequence you have set up
E-scooters are illegal in the Netherlands, yet around 120k e-scooters are sold every year in the Netherlands.

i have been riding a scooter to work and back in toronto since last summer. never had issues with the police. last november I bought a phantom and I usually ride at 50 on roads (i dont want to be run over by cars) and 5-30 on sidewalks depending on oedestrian traffic.
How about the regulations? Have you insured and registered yours?
I don't have registration or insurance. Can I ride slowly on the sidewalk like the bikes?
Can I ride slowly on the side walk and in parks ? Bike lanes aren't available at most places and I don't want to get down to traffic with cars
A note for Edmonton last year I put on 2500km on my ghost no problem with the police. Me and my friends also ride in the bigger group rides 20-50 riders also no problem. The only issue I have ever heard with E-Scooter was one guy who got a ticket for taking it on a super busy highway which was very stupid to do.
I live in Surrey, BC and I haven't found anything conclusive that states that e-scooters are illegal here. However I did read a comment on the City website claiming that they are illegal. I ride my Phantom almost daily and have had no encounters with police. That said, I look and ride like a responsible adult. I wear a helmet, high visibility vest, elbow, knee and wrist pads and I rarely exceed 30 km/hr on the road bicycle lanes. When on sidewalks I limit speed to 20 km/hr or less and always yield to pedestrians even if that means dismounting and walking the scooter. Ride responsibly and the cops will probably ignore you.
It's interesting to know that the laws in Canada are quite similar to my area Hobart, Tasmania.
As per the Toronto website right now, E-scooters are not legal to operate in the city other than private property. So my brand new Apollo Phantom V4 will be just sitting at home =(

I’ve dropped off my Apollo Pro at your NY service location 10 days ago and they haven’t even started working on it yet. Apparently only 1 person works there and they went on vacation right after I dropped it off (not buying it).
You need an moto g license for any scooter above 25kmph.
So I was happy to say that I bought an Apollo city pro took it for about a 10 mile ride and I heard like a crack so I slowed down and stopped to check it out and the latch mechanism broke I weigh 220 pounds this is an $1800 scooter that’s garbage and when you go to order the part, they’re all out of parts
