I just absolutely love this song. This is the Saiki´s voice I fell in love with from the first times I got blown away by Band-maid. I love this song!! Goddamn... I need to loop this one so so much every time I listen to the whole album. Along with "HATE?" as my fav, put on my top "I'll" and "Balance".
Why does Ryan always get a thumbnail pic that makes him look like he's wondering if he actually likes anything. Maybe it's HATE?🤔

We are so used to having a soft break after Kanami's solos, instead in Hate? they throw in an actual breakdown and a brutal one at that. Absolutely brilliant. What an amazing band.
Seeing the smiles on your faces during the solo and going into the breakdown is literally everything 👍
This song alone is crazy, and then they added a duel bass/guitar to make it monumental live.
In an interview Kanami said that this song was originally an instrumental. I think that is part of why it is so complicated behind the vocals.
It is HATE? and the lyrics are from Saiki who wrote the lyrics as an attack on the partner of a friend. She also said in an interview something about a general attack on people who used the recent virus and lockdowns as an excuse to have affairs. She did ask Kanami about the music and asked if she was upset when she wrote the music.

I love the song but dislike the mix regarding the main guitar riff mainly: it is drowned in the mix and you nearly have to guess it, when it should jump at your throat. I don't really understand that riff mix. The rest of the song is a banger. About the lyrics, I'm more and more convinced (thx to their interviews) that Saiki is refering to what happened to some other people (and my deductions lead me in the direction of a very famous japanese singer who was cheated on by her husband - it was everywhere in the news and Saiki said this kind of situation made her very angry - as you can hear here).

I can't understand why the sound of the drums, especially the cymbals, are better/clearer on UA-cam than listening directly to the CD (same issue since Unseen world) on my computer ....
Totally agree. I don't think the engineers have got the mix right since Brand New Maid. They need to lift their game.
Sai-chan wrote this during the pandemic at a low point and needed to get a little frustration out. She remarked writing it was cathartic. If you listen to Miku she says I don't give a shit anymore which, of course, means she really does. Outstanding song but then again we all expect nothing less from the best hard rock band anywhere on the planet.

@@GaryHolloway-810 Thank you my good friend. I sat down with a friend and we went through the new ep. The next day he bought a ticket for Aftershock. Some understand that Miku and Company never do anything that doesn't have some meaning and often more than one. I really began to understand this a bit with The Dragon Cries. Ostensibly a statement of the sorry state of affairs in the world but it also struck me that it was a statement of personal loss and recrimination. Why did you leave me with no warning? Imagine a friend committing suicide and you had no idea it was coming. My guess, and it is only a guess, is South America will be up next after they finish with us and the UK and Europe will follow shortly. My warmest regards to you and yours. You know who Sacramento loves.
@@sacluvsBM That's great. Just one more new fan adds to the growing voice for World Domination. I know Miku said she doesn't write from a personal standpoint (unlike Saiki, HATE?😮) but there are many occasions in her lyrics that whether intended or not seem to reference herself. The most obvious theme being her messages of resolution & compassion for others. I do indeed know who Sacramento loves & that goes for England too.😁
@@GaryHolloway-810 Spot on. Even going back to Thrill with a lyric like a pigeon traces an arc in the azure sky you know that had to be written specifically with small pigeon in mind.
This song seems like they were playing around with new tones and effects a bit more. Also, I'm a little glad it doesn't sound as polished. Hate isn't something that is pretty.
Akane (the Goddess) is the best hard rock drummer for the past 50 years. Jimmy Page was not wrong when he said she's the reincarnation of John Bonham.
There has been ZERO evidence that Page made any comparison to Bonham, and him asking for a picture with Akane should more than enough praise.

Yep Akane actually was asked to meet Jimmy Page a few years ago when he attended one of her concerts in Japan. She actually got a photo op with him as how cool is that. Think they did the title track for the Live Action Kite remake on Netflix as well.
Ladies are also playing at The House Of Blues in Houston on Oct 22. As part of their month long tour. Full tour schedule can be found on Live Nation's site.
Yea this band is brilliant but more where that came from. Just saw a collaboration between Babymetal & Bring Me The Horizon with Kingslayer!
It's pure sold gold as wow wasn't expecting that as how did I miss this lol. Babymetal has something big planned for Oct 10 as well. Think it's called The Other One Restoration Project.
I assume they might announce some future album release. Sample tracks on UA-cam are out there which sound insane. A lot going on now & with Aftershock as well. Which Band-Maid & Nemophila are also playing at!! 🤘 :b
Guys, the track audio was awful…great song though. Drum solo with a bit of vocal and other instrumentation….
