- Band-Maid | Hate (Reaction)
This band is nothing short of amazing, they gave 150% at this show and as I've been told, they give that each time at each and every show!
Join me in seeing them live with the song "Hate"!

James you can move to Nemophila...metal core band songs like Adabana, Dissension, Oiran, Hypnosis...
This duel was a surprise they dropped on their fans for this tour. They did it at each gig. I'm very glad that it was captured on the live stream and that it got posted to YT and not taken down. Thank you for your reaction.
You're very welcome!
Ahhh Cah Neh or Nay Sigh Key or Sigh EE Key or even Psyche.
Thank you so much!
@@WhenWordsFailMusicSpeaks Not at all Sir.
@@greylocke100I say Psyche cos it's a lovely word.😌
On your intro it says you review Bios. If so there are ones for Band-Maid up here. ua-cam.com/play/PLVvkhHgIsXRQ5K0KI7k0Hmofhas_f4xv8.html
dude your mic is low. it's like listening to the Band Domination MV
If you are heading off to do reactions to other bands, I would like to leave you with one last Band-Maid performance to watch for yourself. It's the first of several "thank you to the fans" songs that they have done. Just put "Band-Maid Smile" in the YT search bar and look for the result with members of the group in the thumbnail.
The Barefoot Assassin must have been in steath mode because the producer/director had trouble finding her.

The best live rock band on the planet.
MISA MISA MISA!!!!! the "Conversation" MISA has with Mincho is Music to my ears.
Saiki is the youngest and she started with the band when she was 19, and now she's 29, the rest are over 30.
Saiki was the last to join the band. She was only 19. They have all come a long way since then. They have just celebrated their actual ten years together as a band.
@@russellpotter7294 Isn't that what I just said?
@@TehPhysics I hate commenting on my phone, one word fixed that sentence.
@@roygillotti4615 Great now its edited.
👍👍👍👍👍
They all range between 29 (Saiki) and 32 (Akane) years old.
Pronunciations:
Saiki = Sigh Key
Akane = Ah-Ka-Nay
MISA = Mee-Sa
Miku = Mee-Koo
Kanami = Ka-Nah-Mee
It's a little known fact that in Japan when Sumo wrestlers, cage fighters and the like get unruly the authorities threaten to set Kanami and Misa Misa Misa onto them, boy oh boy don't those dudes straighten up real quick 😂 What a fcken band, cheers from Australia Po 👍🎼🥁🎸🎤🍻
We've moved up in the world, Bruno, he called us "The Band Maids". Woo hoo🙆♂️ super fans we are now, i still prefer "Maidiacs" tho.😏
@@GaryHolloway-810 😄 just as long as we're never called late for a BM concert 😭🤪 err or happy hour, Kanpai GH 👍🍻🍻
@@brunobryant4846 Haha So true. Well we'll never be late for those.😁🍻
You only have to say MISA MISA MISA!!! at the shows, though I'm probably one of the ones who told you to say it that way. It's NOT A Cain. It's Ah-Kah-Neh. There is no silent E in Japanese. Saiki is pronounced like Psyche. (Sigh-Key). They started the band in 2013. They're all around 30 give or take a year or two.
Clearly you are enjoying BAND-MAID, and you have, I'm guessing, lots of song suggestions. So, I'm going to give you some *band* suggestions instead. And, oh boy, are there a lot of amazing bands in Japan.
*Trident* is a fantastic 3 piece band. 'Ambivalent' is a groovy earworm. 'Spoopy' is a favorite of everyone who hears it.
*The Warning* is another amazing 3 piece (sisters) out of Mexico. 'Dust To Dust' live, and 'Evolve' live are good starter duo.
*Hanabie* (ha-na-be-eh) are blowing up right now. 'We Love Sweets' and 'TOUSOU' (runaway) rock hard.
*Nemophila* are a side-project-turned-supergroup. 'ADABANA' and 'Dissension' will melt your face off.
*Asterism* are a mostly instrumental band. Insanely talented! 'Church', 'Gunfire', and 'Dawn' are the way to go.
*Sokoninaru* are mind bending in complexity and timing. You get one song to start with, 'Tenohira De Odoru'.
There's so many more bands, like *Saiseiga,* but these 6 are good place to start. Also, *LOVEBITES.*
I second The Warning. My newest addiction. Also, Trident kicks butt!
Banshimoku are a must watch as well.
Nemophila is a good suggestion... Band Maid also has a softer side such as the ballad Memorable, Daydreaming, Wonderland, Anemone, At the Drop of a Hat, and Mirage...
Great Reaction James I love this song called Hate ? If you want some music from Japan that is "Different" than Band-Maid check out Wagakki Band ( Homura ) ( Akatsuki no ito ) 1st Japan tour 2015 ! They play Metal / Rock with a touch of traditional instruments ! Their one of the most popular bands in Japan but Band-Maid is catching them =) Or from Germany Ramstein "Du Hast" Live in Paris ! Great Stage Show one of the best I've seen !
I'll look into them all!
4 Maid vids in 10 days. You got the bug buddy. (Just 1 MISA is fine unless they're live in front of you) I hear {ah Kahn eh} for the drummer, {sigh E key} for the singer. Like you said in the Thrill video that your cousin started guitar at age 3 or 4 well so did Kanami, MISA and Akane on Piano. "The Warning" are 3 sisters that ROCK. They also all started piano at 3 and should be your next band.
Japanese pronounce all vowels so "greylocke100" is correct. Here's a cheat sheet for future reacts. Stay Well....
Band-Maid Is:
Akane Hirose (Ah-kah-nee or Ah-kah-nay) -Drums, Nickname: “Ah-chan” and "Gorilla" because she eats bananas for her stamina and is a BEAST on drums. Lost her little hat back in 2018....a sad day indeed.
MISA (Mee-sah) - Bass Guitar, Nickname: "The Barefoot Assassin" MISA always performs barefoot as she states she likes to feel the music through her feet, and "kills" everything she plays.
Kanami Tono (Kah-nah-mee) - Lead Guitar/Genius Songwriter Nickname: "Mincho" “Kanamincho” ……Miku’s guitar Sensei.
Miku Kobato (Mee-koo) - Band-Maid Spokesperson/Rhythm Guitar/Lyricist/Founder/Backing Vocals/Lead Vocals…hardest working girl in music. Nickname: "Little Pigeon" (Miku’s surname means “Little Pigeon”) ....po! Getting caught up in Band-Maid means going down the “Pigeon Hole”…….. no rabbits here.
Saiki Atsumi (Sy-kee) -Lead Vocals Nickname: "The Princess" “Si-chan”. Saiki may be called The Princess but Miku is The Queen…..also Saiki is Kanami’s “crush”.
Thank you so much!!! Much appreciated
In 2018 I was waiting for the "tiny hat" at my first Band Maid concert...no hat...I learned that she had stopped wearing it only recently...so near and yet so far...I still wish that she would wear it during the first or last song at each concert, just as a homage to her past.
Oh, and your comment was very well-done...enjoyable.
@@bruceveary1758 Agreed! Bring the HAT BACK!
