I love it when Mark is enthusiastic towards young business owners. He supports peoples dreams when they come in and really pushes the envelope of "everything is possible" in such a positive way.

This is one time I think Mark was wrong. Cold brew has definitely grown in popularity and dropping the price IMO would absolutely lead to more impulse buying and increase his margins over time. In this economy everyone is looking for a DEAL and 20 bucks for that little filter, I’d probably pass.

So, French Press is great for hot coffee, but for Cold Brew, you need to let the grounds sit overnight in water (~20-24 hours), which helps to enhance its caffeine and taste.
If you're in a really big hurry and want something cold, you can always make it an iced coffee, but it won't technically be a cold brew. Coffee be complicated, yo.

@lookitdatassby this is nothing new. I've done this when I was in my teens and I'm in my 30s now. Take some coffee drops add water then put it in the fridge and just use a standard filter and wala cold brew coffee. Why pay 20 dollars for something when you can get a filter for like 5 dollars and have the same results ? I mean you already have the water and coffee and all you'd need is just a filter.

It's a filter. Have you never heard of a filter before ? You can buy one a lot less and can do the exact same thing.
He gave away 30% of his business for 50K, which he would have made anyway in a year or two while keeping 100% of the business.

The price of assistance from Cuban's team alone would cost more than what he gave up. It was a good deal for where he was.

French press is usually steeped for less time and with warmer water. Cold brew is for 24 hours and with cold water.

If you don't know, They have plastic filters that cost less than 5 dollars that are reusable and don't fall apart and you just wash it or put it in your dishwasher to clean it.
