I have a charcoal R&T pair, they are easily the comfiest red wings I own. I work inside in an engineering workshop, sole wear is minimal after a year or so in my rotation. Enjoy them 👍
Great choice, going for them in the oro leather. I agree with you, how good it looks when it ages. ( have a pair of 875's myself, currently getting a resole) the Chukkas look like a great summer boot.
I’ve got these and the charcoal rough and tough. Both in the same size as my 1907”s (11 UK). I”m 11.5 UK trainers (Nike, adidas etc and football boots) and church”s dress shoes. UK 11 in redwings. No probs for me. The charcoal one’s broke in really quickly and are comfier than my Nike air max trainers. These oro-iginal bad boys are a different breed. The leather is ridiculous! After 6 months of wear only just getting comfortable but they look so good. I think with care they will out live me. The 1907”s took a good time to break in but that is the last and the fact they are a big, heavy boot. Don’t be put off by pics of the charcoal,ones-they look amazing on and go with pretty much anything!

Bought them ten years ago and wore them twice and did not really like them. Found them in the back of my closet last year and they have become my favorite boot by far- easy wearing, comfy like a sneaker and gorgeous leather. Looking to get another pair in the oro leather. Buying red wing heritage boots now, unfortunately, is a desert unless you need a size 6 or a size 13EE. The Covid disruption shut down their factories, undercut staff and components have been scarce. Plus red wing is focusing on their huge backlog of actual work boots. Hoping that some stock of heritage returns in 2024. First world problem admittedly 😅 Cheers
I had the same experience with the soles. Very comfy but after a year, the shoes needed a resole. I wore down the heels very fast and the limited tread disappears within a few months.

Yup, the Rover/Round Toe have been discontinued, which is quite a bummer. RW discontinue them about a year ago.

You should do an overall league table on all of your boots. I'm torn between the Solovair Brouge and redwing.
I have those as well as the 1907 moc toe. Wish I had got a wide width.
These are awesome! Been wearing mine since 2015 and am still on original soles.
You must wear them on carpets, or indoors constantly.

How are your heritage 1907 holding up?
