Good mature men are a rare commodity. Gamma bias, the combination of alpha and beta biases, does seem a common societal phenomenon. Glorification of female achievement and ignoring female bad behaviour. The reverse exists of not celebrating male acts of heroism but headlining any adverse male behavior. We are now a highly demoralized group, with poor outcomes now evident right across the social stage. We fail, we suicide, we lose access to our children with legal support, we die much earlier than woman. If the boot was on the other foot, this would be the basis of an aggressive social movement with media headlines, political and legal support. BUT we shoulder our responsibility without network support.
Stand up for the men in your social group, support them, lift them up. They have somewhere tremendous energy and resilience as their biological superpowers. They achieve great things when given the freedom to achieve their full potential if they are encouraged to enter adulthood with discipline and self control. Connect, find joy in little things, commune with nature, find your purpose. The last is the hardest of all. Act with honesty and conviction. Being true to yourself sometimes needs another good man to help you along

oh lovely. Someone to give actual academic, objective advice on how to be a mature, adult male instead of yelling at me with vague catch phrases.
Edit: yea,... didn'thave to look too far to see i'm more of a warrior type (my intuition is annoyingly accurate, tho). I prefer Boolean type logic and first principles. Honesty is far harder than lying because lies are easier to digest and believe. Honesty usually has an upfront cost while lying has an upfront reward. I actually listen, and am in revision stage of my life and being. Just finished reading Epictetus (oddly enough, I had never read, and initially found it nihilistic, but was very, very wrong by the end).
I am in the warrior archetype. And I embrace pain, because it is an external, something not of my control. Im a disabled veteran, but this is not about me. I enjoy your videos. I wont call them content (I do not like that term as it is). I am a myso(wont type the rest). I respect based on actions and deeds. So I wanted to say, I respect the work you do, and more so, the fact you have chosen a dificult path.
It would be much easier to draw in views, in a well known and documented manner. Im sure there may still be those here for prurient interests, but, you are doing two things. You stir introspection, and these discussions, even if one sided, can be beneficial, especially for young men.
But also, you are a good role model for young women. If society, culture, our civilization is to survive, we have to reevaluate the self, and it starts with each of us, knowing our roles, our general broadstrokes characteristics (archetypes) and move that upward, to a society.
So keep doing what youre doing. It is appreciated.

The center of this chart 5:08 is where I worked to get to for years. Self-Actualization is what I've always called it, so when i looked up "individuation" its basically the same. The problem with being in the center is others not knowing its possible. They look real surprised when They think you fit into one Archetype area but you can move to others at any moment. My own personal study finds that most feel uncomfortable around me when they notice that because you become too unpredictable. I have to "Play the fool" in order to create a false since of weakness in order to make others feel like they got me figured out.

The biggest problem is when others think that every other way of thinking is inferior to theirs. But the best way to survive overall is to be as flexible/adaptable as possible. I'm kinda young (18yo) but I was forced to mature early in life because of my father (who has not been present since I was 7, he didn't die, he just got the hell out of the country and doesn't want anything to do whith us) and the 3 men my mom brought to our lives when I was respectively 7, 10 and 16. Every one of them has taught me really important things, being the first 2 guys more into the magician/lover zones and the 3 one (who is one of the persons I trust the most in the world) being actually between the king/warrior zones, but also leaning a lot towards the magician. He came to our lives in a moment where I needed the warrior the most (not because of anxiety or anything else, but because of discipline) and he has been also a very good demonstration of the king archetype for me.
I've been following my evolution very close since 11 because at that age I had my biggest mystical conflict since I decided to become an atheist after being Catholic from birth (I'm not atheist anymore, thanks Christ). Getting to the point: my main archetypes are the magician and the lover, but I also lean towards the king, I'm a musician, so art and all the emotional areas have been important to me and many other things that fit in the lover; I love to learn all I can, from history, politics, philosophy, geography and economy to biology, chemistry and physics, but I always try to make creative solutions to my problems and many more things that fit in the magician; now, I had to develop leadership when I was around 13 (it was a mess back then, but now I understood the assignment 😂), I know when to say "no" when it's needed, I always try to care for the persons around me (family and friends) and when emotions or creativity don't really work I tend to be moral and logical driven. I tend to guide myself currently with my moral compass a lot, I despise betrayal with my life (probably because of my father and some situations I has with "friends" a few years ago) and value a lot the righteousness of how something was done, my morals currently are heavily influenced by traditional Christianity but also by philosophy and logic, maybe those things fit more jn the king.
I want to finish with my warrior archetype which has not been since the beginning of this journey my strongest one until now that I've veen trying to develop it: developing discipline has been hard and I still on my way to do it in a larger scale, carving wood has helped me a little with it and walking really long distances instead of just taking the bus has helped too, and when it comes to sports I love climbing. The warrior has been my weak point since I was very emotional when I was younger, but currently I have developed a pragmatism that has helped me endure some of hardest situations in my life without falling apart at the ages of 16 and 17 (long story).
I want yo apologize for the length of this text but also thank you a lot because I could now find appropriate terms for all this and a better view on the things I have to focus for better developing all my archetypes. Thanks!

I believe there is an oversight to this diagram, due to it's planar limitations. (also it has linear interpolation). Person could play out literally all of this roles at different stages, periods and contexts, not to mention there is dark side to this characters as well. After all these years of trying to understand people I have realized that it is futile - our search for truth could very well be just another story told by the mind, and in that regard that we are only good as the stories other minds create about us. That is why the compassionate and emotional men are often not selected to become fathers - at best they become surrogate parent to their significant other.

@@vukbabovic5031 The truth is that everyone has basically four personalities in their mind and we switch off based on the situation at hand. However, you have to reach a level of maturity before you can access one of the other sides of your mind. Children, for instance pretty much always stay in their ego because they're less developed.

We can't "prove" consciousness but we all know stories exist and that archetypes in stories came from the real experiences underlying those stories. In that way it's a better way of understanding.

I appreciate the model implying; assertiveness, aggression, lover and suprise. With the woman at the center this is a great diagram to explain to a difficult woman. This is not berating. Merely an appreciation of the affirmation of male characterists--however indirect. I will use this to build a more Christian understanding neglected by modernists in the church.

Very Interesting if, we can manage to find a balance between the 4 without being codependent in triangulations with narcissist dynamics ir order to not be overwelmed. I think the key is to manage the 4 at different stages and times to avoid impulsivity and anxiety as an excuse to stay in a comfort zone of toxic money stability avoiding to truly know ourselves in the process. Best Regards!

I feel like all of those things and none of those things. Especially when it comes to the negative aspects. Not so much a pushover over or easily influenced anymore. I am a micromanager though. I use to not be able to say no, doesn't bother me now. Procastinating and being lazy is huge issue for me now though. I have all the negative traits of the warrior and magician. I abandoned everyone i care about. I didn't intend to.
I isolated myself from the world in order to motivate myself to do something I really dont want to do but is very important for me to do. I didnt think I'd still be here years later still trying to convince myself to do it. I wish I'd just get it over with already.

This video was phenomenal. I have been working towards my own versions of these archetypes for the past few months: the scholar, the warrior, and the monk. I feel like how I define scholar is how you define magician. The monk is more or less equivalent to the lover archetype. The Warrior(my interpretation) would be your equivalent of the warrior plus the king.
