- Today I show off two years of journaling in Scottish Gaelic! I'm definitely not great at the language yet, but the daily practice has been probably the biggest help in my studies.

Lol, I'm the opposite with handwriting. I'm stuck using cursive only. I can't write fast enough in print...my brain goes too fast to put up with my hand being slow😂 Keeping up with a journal entry every day for 2 years is impressive, btw. Hope you had a Happy New Year!
I'm hoping that with practice I can speed up my cursive, I'm starting to really enjoy it now that I've gotten past the awkward re-learning stage!
I studied Gaelic, like, 25 years ago or so when I was in my teens, with a teach yourself book. I still remember "Tha mi sgith" and "Tha an cat ag an dorus," lol. I love the idea of using a 5 year planner for language practice! And your all your art is so amazing! I know you said you did some of it with Crayola markers, but what did you use for painting? Is it watercolor?
Thank you! 😄 All of the painting was done with watercolor, it actually works super well on this paper. I used a few water based pens also, the Tombow brand works very well!
This is so inspiring! I might want to start this for my japanese practice! Though i don't want to abandon my actual bujo with the other tracker and planners. Do you keep any additional journals together with this 5year gaelic journal?
I don't have any other proper journals, but I do have two other planners that I've started to work more Gaelic into- I have one for workouts and meal planning and one that is for general household chores and projects. I definitely will make a video soon where I show off all of them plus my strategies for journaling in a target language😃
