    You critical people are jerks. The woman was very obese, this diet is probably a lot healthier than her being 130lbs heavier. It is extreme but so was her being very obese. She is not endorsing her way of dieting she is simply showing what is working for her.

    Yeah, this diet is full of processed foods, and it's probably healthier not to consume so much artificial sweeteners. But it's important in a diet to feel satisfied and to not feel like you're depriving yourself of anything. That's how you stick to a diet. And I think this is what works for Cynthia. It's a lot of food so that she feels full, and even if they're not the absolute healthiest choices, she is getting her important nutrients and she's satisfied with the food she's eating. Maybe this diet won't work for you, but you have to trust that she knows what's best for herself.

    I'm going to try this but cycle 4:3 with 1200 calorie days. I'm at the age where losing weight is nearly impossible due to hormonal imbalances. This seems doable and you're getting plenty of good protein with all the egg whites! The only thing I'd do differently is ditch all the artificial sweetener and diet sodas.

    I know this is an older video, but I was hoping to ask a question. How did you deal with the hunger between meals? I can't exersise anymore due to complications and I have a problem with binge eating; I was on medication for that but I've had to stop it due to the health problems. I constantly don't feel like I've eaten. My binges thankfully are small, but are also more than enough to make me continue getting fatter. According to my math I need to eat 1200 or less a day to loose weight with no exersise and I've been searching for tips on how to not be so hungry. Your diet would be something I'd need to do, were you hungry all the time? How did you handle it?

    There are people who are advised by their doctors to eat a low calorie diet such as this. Usually they're obese. Just be careful not to damage your body, and hopefully start eating around 1200-1500 a day when you reach your healthy weight goal, because this is the safest calorie intake I believe.

    So much criticism! If it works for her, who the hell cares if it's processed? She drinks a gallon of water a day, so a few sodas aren't going to kill her...actually the sodium probably helps balance her electrolytes. And did everyone just ignore her salad for lunch? Yeah it isn't perfect to eat things that come frozen or in boxes, but it may be healthier than what she ate before so I give her props. For those of you saying she had too much sugar, everything was sugar free...yeah yeah aspartame is bad for you in the long run, but this isn't a 15 year old girl's video. If someone young was pounding artificial sweeteners left and right then it could be a health concern, but at her age it honestly won't have too many effects. And all of you with the damn egg whites, she had what...5 or 6 eggs? 80 or 90 calories of solid protein isn't going to make or break a diet. If you're all as healthy as you seem to be, stop sitting behind a computer and go for a run with your organic, sugar free, soy free, non GMO and non BPA, vegan, not animal tested, kale.

      SpiritLeash Actually, doctors put people on very low calorie diets all the time. Sometimes a person's weight can become so dangerously high that they must lose the weight rapidly before their health continues to decline. They will do a program, typically 12 weeks, consisting of a VLCD before they will even consider doing a gastric sleeve or bypass surgery.

    • @SpiritLeash

    My dad once said that I should eat more for breakfast, lesser for lunch and dinner. No eating in between meals unless I was starving. If I was starving, just eat something just enough for me to last to your next meal, like a sandwich. Drink a cup of water before and after eating your meal. Should I do that?
    Oh, and one more thing.I once saw a video that you should never starve youself, not only is it unhealthy,but it will also make you lose weight slower. Your body will remember the painful time you starved youself and store food longer, therefore making you lose weight slower.

    Correct me please :
    Breakfast - >2 cups coffee + 4 cream = 40 kcal ( -20 k cal for when 1 cup )
    Lunch -> Salad + 3 tomatoes + 3 egg whites = ~10 + ~60 + ~45 + 30kcal dressing = ~145 kcal (-20kcal if only 2 tomatoes)
    Snack -> 120 kcal + 60 kcal = 180 kcal
    Dinner -> 200 kcal + 110 kcal = 310 kcal
    Some egg whites = ~15 kcal each, not considered.
    Popcorn -> No information, but if 1 bag has approx 90g, you are looking at around 390-400 kcal
    Candy -> 100 kcal
    Muller -> 100 kcal
    So, 1225 kcal total per video current day. Even if the popcorn would have been only 33g which I doubt based on the amount in the bowl, then you will have approx 1000 kcal intake.
    My take on this, lower sweeteners as they are the reason for craving other sweet stuff which are simple carbs, which if not used in time = fat.
    Not eating the simple carbs will make space to eat other stuff like actual meat, or other complex carbs, instead of candy, snacks and popcorn.
    Bread is good, yogurt is good, eggs good, vegetarian protein from your "steak" ok-ish but keep in mind that you absorb around 50% of that, compared to other sources which go up to 90% absorption.
    Protein intake ok-ish ~40+ g
    With 1000 kcal per day you would probably still be in low deficit even at 50-55 kg, which means you are continuing to lose fat.
    Keep up the good work :)

    In theory it does look like a lot of sweets and things. The thing is you don't get to 300+ lbs by eating healthy. If you know yourself and know you need those sweet things then have the pudding, cake thing and popcorn everyday will help keep you from bingeing. I would personally eat breakfast, have the pudding for a snack, eat lunch, then wait and eat the cake as a snack, then dinner, then snack...spacing them out a bit will help increase your metabolism instead of not eating until lunch and then having this huge meal. Well, I mean if this was my diet.

    Egg yolks are high in vitamin A, E and other important fat soluble vitamins and antioxidant minerals..
    When I saw all the packets of equal, as a nutritionist I have an issue with that (as you said most people would), plus the diet soda... but at least you are having protein and bit of veg. We do what we can do at the time, could go crazy trying to have a "perfect" diet... but I think reducing artificial sweetener and adding egg yolk and bit of olive oil would be a great idea

      +Rick Rob there is no way you ate 800 calories consistently for 6mo. That is a death wish, even for the morbidly obese. VLCD work if the willpower can be conjured - but only the morbidly obese can apply it for more than 2 months. The most effective VLCD is PSMF, which is devised to take in bare minimum nutrients to retain muscle mass, blood work, and vital tissue while staying in ketosis to burn fat directly. it requires high quality proteins (1-1.3g/lb body mass), only EFAs (50% or more derived from omega 3s, around 20g-35g), and minimal carbs only consisted of fiber (anywhere less than 20g will require additional stool softener). Micro nutrients are supplied through either fibrous, non starchy vegetables and supplements. electrolytes (Ca,Mg,Na,K) are resupplied either by pill or some sort of salt, as most are drained by loss of water in glycogen depletion. 8 cups of water is crucial to maintain electrolyte balance and prevent dehydration. certain dieters should also take breaks or carb up to maintain workout intensity at least once a week, as it also prevents metabolic slowdown, caffeine and ephedra also help here, but can be misdosed and cause damage. overall, 800 calories requires too much willpower to maintain for most people and they will return to binging, that's the main reason you should avoid such diets. I've been able to keep off 35lb in 2 months losing less than 5lb on all lifts on PSMF (in fact, my squat increased), and have been able to quell cravings by reverse dieting.

    I'm a big supporter of listening to your body and doing what you think is best for yourself. That being said, I would recommend doing some research about artificial sweeteners and also try to find some alternatives to some of these food items. For example if you want popcorn I would recommend buying plain corn kernels and putting it in a paper bag and microwaving it, it ends up being 20 calls for a cup (I believe) and it's much better than that fake stuff that's pre-made. I've lost almost 40 pounds by just eating tons of veggies (I like quantity and I love eating veggies so it works for me!) and I do not count or anything, instead I eat when I'm hungry and stop when I'm full (which trust me I know is extremely hard to learn to do!) and my last big tip is to no eat past 7 to 8 ish! Oh and if I'm craving something unhealthy like a donut I'll eat it rather than depriving myself and increasing the want for unhealthy food items. I hope this helps someone!!

    Agree with other comments in that there is no need to throw away the egg yolks they are actually good for you. The diet drinks and diet sweeteners would be better items to remove from your diet/eating plan. Fat does not make you fat. Good fats are actually needed by our bodies and damage can be done by not getting enough of good fats in the correct amount. Eating balanced meals with proper timing throughout the day is also important for health and losing weight. Drinking water is good but be sure you're getting the proper electrolytes in order to flush toxins and weight from your system as water can sometimes just go right through without doing the job you want it to complete. Keep up the good job, good luck on your journey to better health.

I may have even lost some cause my stomach does look a little smaller than before. Plus my appetite seems to have shrunk too. But what helped with this too is to drink a lot of water. I've lost 10 pounds since January 1, 2017 - bowl of oatmeal for breakfast, apple snack, 3 eggs for lunch, an apple snack not too long after that (green tea with each meal) and then 3 eggs for dinner. Boring but it works

    I think you should eat everything in moderation. Egg yolks are superior to Sunkist. Ditch the weight watchers pudding for a quick homemade chocolate avocado mousse.Cheers to you.

    please please please do not promote such a low calorie intake. I don't care how fast you want you loose weight or how much your loosing. A baby needs 700 calories a day to fully function, 800 is going to give you metabolic damages! Just eat more fruit and veggies and less meat and sugar!

    Hi
    Just wanted to say this seems pretty healthy! I just started a 700 cal diet with my hubby and I have lost 7 pounds in 3 days. Its basically eggs and lentils. Currently I'm over 200 and would like to get to 130.
    Wondering how long you have been on your diet and are your able to maintain a weight you are happy with?

    The Popcorn, Diet Soda & the candy is all processed food. If your trying to lose weight, that should not be in the 800 calorie diet. There is liquid Egg Whites that you can buy at the store by the way so your not wasting your eggs.

    You can lose alot of weight by having baked fish and veggies for lunch and walking a whole lot. Apples are a great snack. It worked for me. Some healthy stuff that is processed/frozen is packed with sodium. Didn't pay attention to that until a buddy brought it to my attention.

      Yeah don't eat the yolks, especially if you're overweight, you're going to give yourselves high cholesterol hypertension. Just leave the eggs and eat some fruits, veggies, and legumes. Take it easy with the protein, and take it easy with the REFINED fats and REFINED carbs. That's all.

    Don't drink soda at all....no matter if it's none fat, it still has alot of suger, and caffeine is also bad if your on diet. Only water and fruit, vegetable, sea foods are really good. But I do the same as you do when it comes boiling eggs. But I'm on a healthy none cholesterol and no fat diet. No suger, no salt, no sweets, just water salads, fruits, tea with no suger, sea foods, and vegetables.
    I highly recommend, asparagus, and salmon recipe, no oil or butter, just a splash of lemon and put the samon on a foil paper, on a baking sheet, then place 5 asparagus or how ever meny you like on top or on the side of the salmon then slice 1 lemon in little circles and place then on the salmon and then cut parsley into little pieces but if you want to buy in the bottle dry, it's then and that's all. No salt or seasonings, Just use a little pepper. And if you like you can place bell peppers and unions on salmon, over the salmon and asparagus, then place another foil paper over the salmon and asparagus, and cover it.
    Put the oven at 400 and let it cook for like 20 mins. Then you have a healthy dinner.

    Ok here's the thing, i'm a growing teenager, i'm not overweight at all (5'5 and 123 - 125 lbs) but i'm on an 800 calorie "diet" and i exercise. (its been over 3 months now and my weight loss is steady, a pound a week, sometimes half a pound a week) the thing with your 800 calorie diet is that you're taking advantage of thee sugar free and diet sodas etc. A lot of it is chemicals, chemicals that make you crave carbs and yes it may be lower in calories but nutrition wise there is nothing in there. my 800 calorie diet allows me to eat a lot more because its 60-70% fruits and veggies and then 30-40% lean protein, nutrient dense. If you're getting no nutrients from your food, there's no point in even dieting. So switch out the sugar free snacks for fruits, the sugar is natural, and contrary to some dumb doctors, it is digested and stored differently than sugar from a donut, so don't worry.

    I think you are doing a good job. Eggs, vegetables, chick peas, lots of water is awesome. Many of us need a small decadence like the pudding, dessert or low calorie dessert. However, you really should try and substitute with more fruit for that sweet fix. Some chopped up fruit with yogurt on top is delicious. Try and get rid of the artificial sweetener in your coffee and diet pop. Try stevia, an all natural sweetener that comes from the stevia plant. Many carbonated spring waters have natural flavouring. For the popcorn - use a whirly pop or a microwave popcorn bowl. You add coconut oil or canola oil to make the popcorn and can can eat a ton with just adding salt and yes, pepper because it will stick to the popcorn. The microwave popcorn is full of unhealthy preservatives and chemicals. Just some suggestions. Best of luck.

  • @chelsea911

    Wow youre doing really well to stick under 800calories a day, that is hard. Im eating 1000 it is also hard lol. Im doing drmcdougall.com style eating though so im mostly have some wholegrain oats cooked with water no milk for breakfast. I also have coffee (black) or sometimes diet hot chocolate powder when I have the chocolate i put a tonne of artificial sweetener in it too mmmm but not for coffee. I sometimes have a fruit with my breakfast too. I have popcorn also but i bought an air popper it was cheap and i can make popcorn without any oil or butter this way. I sometimes have rice cakes with salsa. My usual like standard lunch/dinner meal is steamed potato (u can just boiled if no steamer) i weight it and u can have quite a large amount without calories getting too high the calories are in what u add to it i sometimes just add veggies but also i sometimes put like a half can of baked beans. Then i use low fat sauce like sometimes pickle or mustard or u know those type of things NOT mayonaise haha. Sometimes I make rice instead of potato but i find u cant eat as much before the calories get too high as u can for potato. Potatos are nutritionally complete thats why many nations in times of scarcity have been able to live on potatoes alone without developing and deficiency diseases. But if you were to live on grains like oats or rice then thats deficient in vit A and C so u do need to add a wedge of orange or a floret of brocolli u know to fix it. Its pretty easy eating this way because its simple but some ppl might find it boring or bland. You can add a pinch of salt, pepper or herbs n spices or whatever to make more flavourful though. I have diet soda i drink it when i want to eat but have eaten enough it works quite well to stop me eating too much. Ive lost 15kg i dont know what it is in pounds i think maybe bit more than double so guessing 35 or 40 pounds just a guess.

    I was morbidly obese, 800 calories is basically one meal a day, so I had one HEALTHY meal a day with water or flavoured, no diet Pepsi or shit like that, lost 6 stone in 6 months, then I started exercising, now I'm very happy and am living a healthy active life style, have stayed on the mark on the scale for 3 months now so I think I'm good, the weight didn't just pile back on when I started eating again because I now exercise too, however if you do just start shoving food down your throat after the diet then you will gain again.
    So anyway I'm happy, hope anyone else who done this had a good result, like me.
