Ngl I did have a couple of times when I ate some chips or something like some cookies but I did it in moderation. So everything worked out pretty good I'm going to make some tweeks and adjustments for some of the meals and use different meals from this channel. All I have to do now is make a grocery list and make next week's food.
@@izzyjursch3349 You can totally do it. It’s really mind over matter. The first week or two is the hardest but it gets easier and when your stomach shrinks, you won’t feel hungry as much. I know it’s hard, but you’ll feel so much better about yourself and once you start losing, have a cheat day once a week. That’s what I do and it always works
You can do it 👏👏👏 please stick to the plan and also do some work out, look on you tube videos of how people loose weight to motivate you. But you already took the first step and that's the more important decision you have made. And do it for your health!!!you can do it 💜👍🌹

Is the book laid out like a recipe book or video where it goes 'prep this. Prep this. Prep this.' then the recipes after that? Otherwise I find the video more helpful.

All her food looks good and most are decent sizes, the only thing is my dietitian told me half a cup of oats in the overnight oats is good if your maintaining but if you want to lose weight then 1/3 cup oat/fluid ratio with extra additions is enough and I find it satisfying

Ok so I want to loose weight, I followed this meal prep religiously. I love the stry fry. I made it to where I had food for the weekend as well and it turned out great. Some notes I do have is 20 minutes is just a little to long for the cookies (mine almost brunt) maybe 15 minutes, make sure when you get the bananas get big ones because I only had enough for 12 cookies, for the pancakes I had to add a little more oat flour (maybe because I did it in the blender), and lastly it's WAY easier to chop all your veggies and chicken before you start so you don't have to break out the cutting board every five minutes.
I LOVE that you’re South African and that your recipes are South African based. I’ve tried to look for a meal prep option all over the show but it’s always in different measurements using ingredients I’ve NEVER HEARD OF. Waiting to for a men’s meal prep book too so I can buy one😭😭😭

i made this on sunday and it took me like 5 hours to do everything since i dont really cook and i have a small kitchen with not enough pots and pans...so i'm a bit slow when it comes to cooking lol. it was really rewarding to just do this, and the recipes have been absolutely great so far! im currently eating the brown rice pasta and it is so good. im not sure if i made too much though lol so hopefully i didn't. anyhow, i love your videos!! they have really helped me so far in my health journey :) thank you for your content.

I bought the book after seeing a lot your videos. It’s worth every penny and recipes are delicious. My family want to steel my meals ;-). I avoided the snacks prep but the portions are really generous. I adjusted cutting in half . Now it’s working for me as diet otherwise simply I was maintaining the weight. I exercise one or two times a day motherless I was not loosing with full servings. Once again great book! Unfortunately I cannot print it! My compliments 👌👌👌
Sama Alduwaisan absolutely. I believe that they are absolutely great for starting meal prepping. You can also mix and match the weeks as soon as you get acquainted with the method. You need to plan a morning and remember to have your containers ready, don’t panic and breath... initially will be hard but then you don’t think... just follow the instructions and eat 🤩

Update- All of the meals were very good. I'm on the last day but I have to say I felt hungry the last 4 days. There needs to be more protein in these meals because I got full but never stayed full for long. This took me 3 hours to make! 😭 Hopefully worth it because I could spend more than that making my food over the next 5 days.

4:38 so if you want to peak them easily you boil the water first then add the eggs and cook for 9 minutes let cool then peel them. Brining to a boil with the water causes the shell to stick.
I started this yesterday. As a white bread/pasta and cheese addict I was afraid how I would get on but I was amazed at how full I felt all day. I reckon need to lose 50 pounds so this looks like a great place to start. Yesterday I had the overnight oats, black bean sandwich (with brown bread), mango smoothie and the mushroom pasta (brown pasta). Today I’m having the pancakes, black bean sandwich, cookies and the stir fry. Fingers crossed it works 🤞🏻🤩
I want to start doing meal prepping because I don't also have time to cook healthy each day But I want to know a thing Doesn't the food goes bad in 1-2 days? How does it lasts 5 days? Any tips? Do you freeze them or put in refrigerator? I think the freezer food doesn't tastes that good but how do you manage to make these foods lasts 5 days?
Food stays good for a week in fridge. But if you really don't like then you can meal prep half first for 3 days and then meal prep again for 3 more days.
Tayyiba Shahid it depends on what you’re prepped, but for example, cooked meats will last in the fridge for about 4 - days (although I don’t keep cooked meats for more than 3 days), the same for “hardy grains” like quinoa (though I usually only keep white rice for 2 days in the fridge). Keep fresh produce prepped but dry and you can keep for at least 2 days, roasted veggies 3 days easily (my sister keeps for 4-5 days but I think after 3 days they don’t taste as good) . Hope that’s helpful 😊

I loved that video! Your food and recipes always look so delicious. The ones I tried have tasted delicious too. Your spaghetti bolognese and stuffed sweet potatoes with black beans & salsa have become some of my go-to recipes this summer.
I’ve been on a diet all my life since 7, only bcoz I’m soooo short anything I eat shows more on my frame😞 I’m 4’10. Since having my son I’ve put on some weight, I want to lose 50kg, already lost 13kg in aug, and I’ve lost another 10kg this month. 27kg to go and I’m going to hit my target in December 2020 id be 40kg. Obviously I’d have loose skin which I will use nutrition, creams, exercise m RF to tighten. The year 2021 will be the start of a great year for myself. I have gained weight many times due to having a baby, uni bsc, Msc, working 14.5hr night shift for 6 days a week for 7yrs didn’t help. So it’s time to look after myself❤️
Ok, so to be realistic....as a beginner cook, this took me 3 hours!! The oatmeal was a bit bland (still edible), the guidelines for cooking quinoa were off (should use 2 cups instead of 3 cups water to 1 cup quinoa). However, some of the meals I loved and will definitely make again! Surprisingly, the black bean sandwich was delicious (I'm going to add some avocado to it to make it more filling) and the pasta was great. Loved the pancakes. Overall, I'm definitely going to be making more of your meals. I definitely would give yourself more than a hour to cook, unless you have a magic elf prepping and cleaning everything for you 😜

jenna oberlin a cheap rice cooker is handy to do quinoa and rice etc, takes less time.
5 hours now but think of the stress free time you'll have during the week 💪

Update- All of the meals were very good. I'm on the last day but I have to say I felt hungry the last 4 days. There needs to be more protein in these meals because I got full but never stayed full for long.
This took me 3 hours to make! 😭 Hopefully worth it because I could spend more than that making my food over the next 5 days.

4:38 so if you want to peak them easily you boil the water first then add the eggs and cook for 9 minutes let cool then peel them. Brining to a boil with the water causes the shell to stick.

I started this yesterday. As a white bread/pasta and cheese addict I was afraid how I would get on but I was amazed at how full I felt all day. I reckon need to lose 50 pounds so this looks like a great place to start. Yesterday I had the overnight oats, black bean sandwich (with brown bread), mango smoothie and the mushroom pasta (brown pasta). Today I’m having the pancakes, black bean sandwich, cookies and the stir fry. Fingers crossed it works 🤞🏻🤩

Doesn't the food goes bad in 1-2 days? How does it lasts 5 days? Any tips? Do you freeze them or put in refrigerator? I think the freezer food doesn't tastes that good but how do you manage to make these foods lasts 5 days?

Food stays good for a week in fridge.
But if you really don't like then you can meal prep half first for 3 days and then meal prep again for 3 more days.
Tayyiba Shahid it depends on what you’re prepped, but for example, cooked meats will last in the fridge for about 4 - days (although I don’t keep cooked meats for more than 3 days), the same for “hardy grains” like quinoa (though I usually only keep white rice for 2 days in the fridge). Keep fresh produce prepped but dry and you can keep for at least 2 days, roasted veggies 3 days easily (my sister keeps for 4-5 days but I think after 3 days they don’t taste as good) . Hope that’s helpful 😊

I loved that video! Your food and recipes always look so delicious. The ones I tried have tasted delicious too. Your spaghetti bolognese and stuffed sweet potatoes with black beans & salsa have become some of my go-to recipes this summer.
I’ve been on a diet all my life since 7, only bcoz I’m soooo short anything I eat shows more on my frame😞 I’m 4’10. Since having my son I’ve put on some weight, I want to lose 50kg, already lost 13kg in aug, and I’ve lost another 10kg this month. 27kg to go and I’m going to hit my target in December 2020 id be 40kg. Obviously I’d have loose skin which I will use nutrition, creams, exercise m RF to tighten. The year 2021 will be the start of a great year for myself. I have gained weight many times due to having a baby, uni bsc, Msc, working 14.5hr night shift for 6 days a week for 7yrs didn’t help. So it’s time to look after myself❤️

Ok, so to be realistic....as a beginner cook, this took me 3 hours!! The oatmeal was a bit bland (still edible), the guidelines for cooking quinoa were off (should use 2 cups instead of 3 cups water to 1 cup quinoa). However, some of the meals I loved and will definitely make again! Surprisingly, the black bean sandwich was delicious (I'm going to add some avocado to it to make it more filling) and the pasta was great. Loved the pancakes. Overall, I'm definitely going to be making more of your meals. I definitely would give yourself more than a hour to cook, unless you have a magic elf prepping and cleaning everything for you 😜
