  • Today I complete a project that I should have done SO long ago. These new under hood lights are amazing. They just flood the engine bay with light and make everything so easy to see. If you want to pick up the same kit take a look at the link below. Thanks for watching!
    Light kit used in this video: amzn.to/3pnKQFD
    Cable that I used: amzn.to/32YQUL4
    This cable is handy to have around for all kinds of cable running.

    Thank you for this video, I just installed a Cyclone LED to my 2020 Renegade TH. There is a section on both sides under the hood for perfect placement and angle to hit the engine straight down. Ran the cable alongside the windshield fluid hosing under the thermal pad. attached the switch right above the fuse box😁.

    Hy Ry, nice shop! Great mod. You should look into a pair of gas struts for the X hood. About $50, 10 min install, and opens the hood a smidge higher.

    Awesome mod! Adding the hydraulic hood struts and removing the prop would be nice too. The hood on my Xterra actually now moves up higher than with the prop. How do you keep your engine bay so nice on your Xterra? Mine never goes off-road and is my daily driver and doesn't look that clean.

    • @Rythecarguy
      @Rythecarguy  3 роки тому

      The trick to keeping it clean is not driving it. LOL. I have 3 cars and to be totally honest I drive the Xterra the least. I love the idea of the hydrolic lifts. Can you send me a link of where you got yours?

    Where you connected the positive terminal is on the downstream side of an 80 amp fusible link. this is a generally bad practice, because if something goes wrong it will blow that link and your vehicle will not start. (Ask me how I know.) Much better to tap in on the battery side of that fusible link.

    The problem with the rare earth magnets is that if they are mounted to a section of the hood where the metal is thinner they will actually attract metal particulates from daily driving and you will have the “halo” of the magnets showing on the outer skin of the vehicle. The screw method is definitely the way to go.
