In this video, we show you how to light up your engine bay at night with this cool under-hood LED light kit. This kit features over 1,300 Lumens of light output, is 40" in length, has a Premium Braided cable and real 3M (unlike competition) VHB tape. I installed this kit from teq off-road and it’s definitely top quality and also really easy to install. I just wish I had this mod sooner. It’s a lot easier to work at night when it gets hot in the summer. The hood led light is a lot more convenient then setting up lighting every time I want to work at night. I just wish I had it earlier for my off-road trips when I had to work on the car on the trail. I am also impressed with how bright it is! They did not spare any lumens! Haha I definitely recommend this mod if you don’t have it already.
10/10 RECOMMEND! I didn’t think I would use the under light feature until I went night wheeling and opened my hood and remembered I had the under hood light kit. Total game changer. Easy and affordable mod! 🤙🏽

Worth every penny. I ran mine through the hood itself for a cleaner look and all I can say is WOW. Never need a flashlight under the hood again. Also, Great customer service from the company!

Excellent light system! Unfortunately they’re completely out of stock now. When you install it, you can connect the positive eyelet to the main power lug inside your fuse box. There’s room to run the wire next to the existing wiring. Makes a much better connection than straight to your Battery post. Next upgrade, Hood Struts! (Scavenged from the newer Toyota Trucks at the Salvage Yard.)
Yeah, connecting up the positive lead to fuse block works.

Would this make sense installed on the trunk for camping?
Is it simply tapping into the trunk light for power?
yeah this could work for a rear hatch camping light. but I would recommend using red light so it doesn't attract bugs.

the battery on my truck is on the passenger side. i would have to reverse how the light is mounted. i have a 91 toyota pickup.
Good point! Definitely important to run the connector that comes off the LED light on the same side as your battery. 👌🏼
