It helps if you break each musician into a seperate section. Listen to a song 4 times, listening and focusing on just one member each time. There are only 4 and each one is a master and individual but they cooperate perfectly. Jimmy has done so many things that noone had ever done before. When you see the double neck guitar, realize , he had to have that made. He had to engineer his own equipment to achieve the sounds he wanted because they didnt exist yet.
If I recall correctly, your initial thoughts on Whole Lotta Love went like "So far I think it's trash" and "I'm not impressed..I gotta listen to another", which is fine because not every song from them will be your cup of tea, but there are plenty of great songs that you'll love because John Bonham is often regarded as one of, if not THE greatest Rock drummer in history! The impact he had on every drummer that came afterwards is massive and of course, his beats crossed boundaries into Hip Hop. Jimmy Page is also one of the first real Guitar Gods, Robert Plant is an iconic vocalist, and John Paul Jones doubles as one of the best bass guitarists and one of the best keyboardists in Rock. Check out Dazed And Confused [Live Denmark 1969] to see what I mean. (it should be the black and white version). Keep in mind that this came before Heavy Metal was really established. They really weren't a drug band, or at least the drugs weren't the reason for their sound. That comes strictly from Jimmy Page's interest in guitar experimentation and both his and Robert Plant's Blues influences. They were the first "Heavy but non-Psychedelic Rock band"
Huge respect in these times to be giving credit to these guys. It's funny how things work out because les zepplins greatest influences were great African American blues players from the southern states. Muddy waters, john Lee hooker, howlinwolf and on and on. All great stuff 🤟🎩🎸

That's some bad driving music!⚡🌟👌
It helps if you break each musician into a seperate section. Listen to a song 4 times, listening and focusing on just one member each time.
There are only 4 and each one is a master and individual but they cooperate perfectly.
Jimmy has done so many things that noone had ever done before.
When you see the double neck guitar, realize , he had to have that made. He had to engineer his own equipment to achieve the sounds he wanted because they didnt exist yet.
Just do like 20 straight songs from Led Zeppelin
Yeah, pretty much every single song from their first four albums.

Nice receipt keeping 😁. Some good recall of Van's comments. 👍
i am new to this page..he actually said whole lotta love was trash?!
@@TheMamadrea Yeah, during that middle section with the audio panning.
I love that you listen in the car! Being in the car alone with the music loud can be a spiritual experience!
Huge respect in these times to be giving credit to these guys. It's funny how things work out because les zepplins greatest influences were great African American blues players from the southern states. Muddy waters, john Lee hooker, howlinwolf and on and on. All great stuff 🤟🎩🎸
Love iiiit! Jammed to this in the car today.
Having the same age as you (1978) Led Zep was my big thing growing up... In high school i was the only one listening to this... then I graduated and a couple yrs later Eminem came out... that's what fully push me to investigate hip-hop/rap .... best of both worlds... ad some heavy metal and its even better
While I grew up listening to Led Zeppelin and The Beastie Boys... I did not discover Jame Brown, Jimi Hendrix and Motown until my 20's. So.... I feel you. I love discovering music.
One of Led Zeppelin's biggest influences was black American music, mainly blues. Their music is now sampled by modern rap artists. I like the symmetry of that.
