Summary of Foods Mentioned in the Video
    1. Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV)
    • Explanation: Consuming ACV at night can help combat cravings by acting as a starch inhibitor, slowing down carbohydrate breakdown and delaying blood sugar spikes.
    2. Salty Snacks
    • Explanation: Replacing sweet cravings with salty snacks can be beneficial. Salt cravings can sometimes mimic sweet cravings, and consuming salty snacks is generally lower in calories than sweet options.
    3. Protein (Protein Shake)
    • Explanation: Having a protein shake before arriving home can reduce hunger and the tendency to overeat at dinner. Protein helps manage glucose response and satiety.
    4. Potatoes
    • Explanation: Opting for potatoes over rice provides easier digestion and a protease inhibitor that slows protein breakdown, potentially enhancing satiety.
    5. MCT Oil
    • Explanation: Consuming MCT oil can decrease appetite and help manage food intake later in the evening due to its effects on brain energetics.
    6. Breakfast Foods (Big Breakfast)
    • Explanation: Eating a substantial breakfast can help control hunger throughout the day, preventing excessive eating at night.
    7. Seaweed Snacks
    • Explanation: If eating after dark is necessary, seaweed snacks are a low-calorie option that can help with satiety without significantly impacting blood sugar.

You could make a north European cold potato salad - called "Granny's salad". In its original form (no mayo or sausage; swap out sugar for allulose) it's just potato boiled in broth, chopped pickle, ACV, salt, pepper, EVOO, parsley. Add boiled eggs and lean sausage meat if you want.

Try to eat savory breakfast instead of sweet breakfast when you wake up. Or the first food (whether it's 9am, or 1 pm) that comes into your mouth after you fasting during your sleep should be something savory. It helps curb your craving. See Jesse the "Glucose Goddess" (just search her video in youtube) , she told you "how" to eat your food. No diet, whatsoever. Just life style change. You'll be amazed how you feel when you don't eat "sweet" breakfast or anything sweet when your stomach is empty.

@@stephanieilluzzi7355 I don't know about Allulose. I've noticed that a big protein rich breakfast drastically reduces cravings very similar to when I was on Wegovy. Salt really makes a difference! I started some form of intermittent fasting around 9-10 years ago. Initially, it was mainly an intuitive way to manage indigestion, but it developed from there. My solution was to avoid eating (anything substantial) after 16 o'clock, as eating later would make me feel very unwell in the morning, sometimes even causing vomiting. However, there were days when I felt too hungry or needed to relieve stress after work. I discovered that something salty - for example, fermented cucumber- helped a lot. Interestingly, in December and January, the sun sets around 15.30 where I live, so I almost manage to eat before it gets dark outside 😀

very true on the high fat snacks at night. Our bodies can process the carbs we ate during the overnight. Eating fats later at night (especially from what I see with my CGM) makes it so your body is burning through fats and keeping glucose levels higher overnight so your glucose numbers never drop fully (in non diabetics this probably means the pancreas is working on overdrive to produce insulin longer than it needs to) and by morning we get the dawn phenomenon and our glucose rises higher. Basically have more healthy fats earlier in the day

Most helpful change I made to reduce the evening time cravings, was just trying to get more protein. Used to aim for .4-.5 grams per pound a day. Up it to .6 grams.
Been great over the past month, cravings for a certain oatmeal raisin cookie and other junk I used to eat have mostly disappeared. If I do get them, easier to dismiss or bargain with. Opting for a kombucha, instead of the cheap donuts in the bakery.
Couple weeks later decided to look up what average protein intake for an American male was. GIven I'm right about average height the amount I transitioned to is about where the average is (With borderline healthy BMI)
Would bet if people tried to eat such an amount everyday (.6g per pound of healthy bodyweight, 24 BMI) They might find their cravings disappear. If they focus on acquiring that protein from meat, egg & dairy products.

Awesome video, yet somehow a bit shocking! First I have overshare and say that I am THE person who keeps my husband and I on track, so if I go off the rails or “nightime Paula” shows up, things get crazy. About a week ago, we had just came back from vacation (where, we went off the rails) and I looked at him just before 9 and said “I could go for pizza”. I’ve never seen the man get off the couch so fast in 28 years of marriage. That said, I felt SOOOO gross the next day and announced that we have to get back on track. My next weigh in, I was surprised and thankful that I was looking at the same pre-vacation number. THEN, I roasted a chicken and and brussel sprouts for dinner, but my Irish side discovered a lonely potato in the pantry. WELL, I can’t throw it out so I bake it and share it with my husband. The rest of the days we are on track and, I’m shocked at next weigh in - I’m down almost 2 pounds. I thought, wth…I ate a potato. HOW??? Now lets talk breakfast, I’ve been hearing for years about the importance of IF, how can I do that AND have a huge breakfast each day? I work until about 6, oh and on that note Thomas the sun sets at 4:30 tonight. 😆 I haven’t had a real breakfast since starting Keto, so…. I’m excited about this one!

I use to think that I as under eating during the day which was making me a hungry animal at night so I bumped my calories up but would still binge at night. I solved the problem by pulling back my calories during the day and just factoring in the nightly binge into my daily macros. 😂 I also keep a walking pad near my tv so after my binge i make sure to walk!

Carnivore/Ketovore. Eat all you want in a shrinking window of time. Sparkling water. Dill/Kosher pickle, sauerkraut, or Kimchi. For cravings. UA-cam has numerous recipes for carnivore ice cream and other replacement items. Yes, don’t eat after dark, if able.

I'm watching this at night, but that's because I woke up real early. I find if I eat well at the end of the day or after some form of waiting for others to leave, I'm less impulsive the next morning

Also, it's advised not to drink too much water at night, don't let yourself pick the wrong battle. When I increase my sip to bite ratio/cadence, it is a symptom, and I believe a cause of less caloric accumulation and possibly better mental health.

I have been taking Berberine for a couple of months. I have heard it is called nature's Ozempic. What I have noticed is a major decrease in cravings for sweets and desserts. I just can't handle the acid burn from ACV. I'm trying to figure out why I get sleepy after my evening meal.

  • @brazenclips
    @brazenclips Місяць тому +2

6:29 20 grams of MCT oil is 180 calories of fat and between 1/3rd to 1/2 your daily fat requirements. If that didn’t attenuate appetite with literally any other form of fat, I’d be surprised.

You should ask why people are rating the cabinetsat night. I'd never eat at night. I eat a French diet, a good breakfast. A large lunch and a small dinner. I try to do my dinner between 5 and 6 PM. And nothing else after it. Always have a dessert after a meal for me. It's berries and maybe one lint. Seventy percent chocolate with those berries and you will be satisfied
