Why you should try VR RHYTHM GAMES.

- Have you ever wanted to know what it feels like to PERFORM music? Have you ever imagined yourself as a rockstar, a pop icon, or a rap legend? Do you dream of forming band with your friends to take the stage and bless the crowd with a perfectly executed song???
…yeah, me too. Which is why I’m currently so obsessed with RHYTHM GAMES. More specifically VR rhythm games.
VR has a way of taking almost any flatscreen game and making it 10x better simply through full visual immersion. For example, the critically acclaimed rhythm game THUMPER has a direct VR port, and it’s honestly the best way to play it. I’ve heard the same thing about REZ INFINITE and its VR version. But these are very artistically abstract games that aren’t exactly trying to immerse you in a realistic experience or fantasy.
Which is why I’m so glad I found BANDSPACE. This game brings that fun cooperative band experience into VR, complete with motion controlled instruments, awesome songs and stages, and a crowd that goes wild for you. Seriously, that makes you feel so cool. There are 4 different instruments to play, guitar, bass, keyboard, and drums, each with their own unique control scheme that you’ll have to learn. Oh, and did I mention this game is FREE TO PLAY?
But I also have to take some time to remind you how amazing BEAT SABER still is. That recent Daft Punk DLC pack was all I played for an entire week.
Also, do not miss out on SYNTH RIDERS. I highly recommend the “Experiences” DLC pack because those levels have some of the coolest visuals in all of VR.
UNPLUGGED: AIR GUITAR is one of the most fun uses of VR hand tracking, but can also be played with controllers!
SMASH DRUMS is the last game I checked out but I recommend trying BANDSPACE first as a free alternative!

7:27 Synthriders is my all time favorite VR game. Played it so much I knew exactly what game this was and what song you're playing. Muse - Algorithm. So good. And to add - I'm very glad you put a spotlight on Synthriders. I've noticed it doesn't get much credit; at least from youtubers I've seen talking about VR games. Every time someone mentions a rythm VR game, it's Beat Saber. And while I got nothing against it (even have it myself), Synthriders is just alot more fun to me personally, and for the reasons mentioned here.
Synthriders is superior to give you that "dancing feel". Best flow states that I have gotten from all rythm games.
@@larin4587 Nothing feels better than finding a Master difficulty song that keeps its dance rhythm. Perfect flow state material.

Pistol whip is S tier. The flow state in that game is godly.

The game looks amazing and it's super fun but I'm playing like just a shooter because it's really hard to know when you are in beat and the feedback to know you hit in beat it's just a small icon in the enemy, maybe I need more practice but so far it's impossible for me to play like something else than a shooter with cool music
You should totally play it, its amazing. Also the last song from the desert is amazing. I think its name ks Smoke and Thunder, truly a masterpiece. The bossfight is also amazing

Im not really a rhythm game person. The only rhthym games i played growing up was guitar hero world tour, rock band 2 and just dance at the arcade. Ever since ps premium users were able to download synth riders, I absolutely fell in love. I just played synth riders for the first time on my psvr2 only 5 days ago. I bought 7 mixtape add ons and theres 6 more i haven’t purchased but will soon. I even wanna try best saber now, but it will have to wait till i get over the synth riders fever because im absolutely addicted to this game right now! Lol

Finally, someone gives Synth Riders the credit it's due. Criminally underrated gem, that one. I personally enjoy its gameplay *more* than Beat Saber because Synth Riders forces you to move your whole body a lot more. Crank up the difficulty modifiers for the ultimate workout.
I alway, Always wanted to play guitar hero but I don't have the drumset or guitar or mayonnaise or any of those controller instruments
And I love vr and this is exactly what vr is made for crazy and awesome immersed experiences

I’ve heard great things about Ragnarok I just personally preferred the more realistic aesthetic of smash drums!
@@VirtualBroVR You might wanna try Paradiddle then. There is nothing more realistic for drumming in VR, it even has an option to add physical pedals for drum-kick

Ragnarock is a sleeping banger of a game.
Band space looks awesome, I went to go look for it immediately and got disappointed when I saw it was "coming soon" on steam so I have to wait.

Smash Drums has a classic mode which is straight Rock Band in VR now. Mixed Reality mode gives your a virtual drum kit in your room.
Drums Rock more arcady guitar hero type VR.
Band Space is free but not good at anything even more arcady.
I remember when I started playing Beat Saber in November 2023, then the expert and expert+ levels seemed impossible, now the expert level is like... too slow for me?
Your reaction time and hand eye coordination improves over time! Such a cool feeling of progress

The only rhythm game I played in VR is Pistol Whip and Thumper.
Thumper is such an experience!
When I got my quest two I spent probably a hundred hours in beat saber, not a fun game to watch but awesome to play
